Alien trilogy is unoptimised so just get the pal version and run it at 60. It’s still a tenner right?

Might have to buy this one... Haven't bought a physical magazine in years but the lure of Amiga is too great. I think the last one I bought was the 30th anniversary of Out Run issue...
Please do

Critics are acting like this is a clever satirical take on consumerism and that it asks deep questions about death.
it’s like we watched a different film.

solid performances and some nice deaths. Quite enjoyed this one and only £4 on Apple TV

I love this film. Ryan Reynolds is great in it, there’s a gut punch finale and it has some wonderful sound design.

Im sorry to hear that. I have too.Clearly I am in the minority here, as it has received almost universally glowing reviews.
There are plenty of acclaimed films I don't like. If it didn't work for you it didn't work. I see a lot of complaints that so much of it is ambiguous and unclear, but I think that's one of its greatest strengths. I'm questioning so much about the character's motives and back stories in a way I wouldn't normally bother with. It just really worked for me.

I was so looking forward to this, but thought it was just a total non-event. I didnt see anything really regarding mental health, apart from the very, very obvious bit. What did I miss? It was just such a dull film.I agree with you on both points about Mubi. I paid £1 for three months yesterday.
There are lots of subtle nods throughout the film before you get to the obvious one. I've struggled with mental health since the birth of my kids and thinking about his situations keeps on causing me to have a little cry because they hit so close to home for me.

I can't stop thinking about it. I didn't cry at the time of watching it (even though there's quite a few emotional gutpunches in it) but it certainly got to me when I was lying in bed and thinking of my own relationship with my daughters (particularly my youngest) and my own struggles with mental health.
I think I'm going to watch it again this week as it's probably a 5 star movie. Certainly worth taking out a subscription to Mubi, even if everything is in stereo.

Some good actors in this and the idea is decent enough, but it all felt rather hackneyed and predictable. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I don't think I'd ever watch it again.

edit: Yeah, they renamed cotton rock n roll to fantasy, but changed their mind it seems. The names are interchangeable.
Yes, that’s what I meant. This is a double pack with a Kung fu master style game as well. Going to get rid of it though as I didn’t realise anEnglish version existed.

Connect HDD to PC, use OPL Manager, done.
Hmm, I'm sure I've tried that before. I'll give it another try at the weekend.

I have a PS2 with a harddrive and OPL. I've kind of worked out how to add additional games but I can't work out how to add the boxart. One of the things I love ab out stuff on the harddrive is the presentation looks great as you scroll through your stuff. It's less cool when there's a big blank space where the boxart should be. Any idea how to fix it?

I like the idea of replacing my current mame cab with either something smaller (like a bartop) or one with spinners, trackballs etc.

I love being part of Retro Gamer, and it is a real privilege to be writing the regular homebrew column.
Jason would be proud of the fantastic work you are doing with it. I know I am 👌

Blimey. My memory is fading! I should really have known!
Retro revivals on gears of war, jetpack refuelled and Stranglehold, many future classics and a making of bioshock off the top of my head

Very sad news. Archer was a lovely bloke and wrote some cracking articles for us over the years.

Obviously those MBAs and whatnot aren't going to waste!
I just make the mag. There’s a lot of things about the magazine beyond the creation of it that disappoints me.

Presumably the business bods must have decided it's worth doing though? Or they wouldn't bother. I doubt Future are just making it available that way out of the goodness of their hearts?
I guess they look at it as hardly any money is better than no money.

I've read it for years on Readly. Which I've just this month cancelled after realising (thanks to someone mentioning it here) that I can actually get all of the magazines (including RG) in digital format using my library card. I only used Readly for RG, Viz, New Scientist and occasionally Edge, and they're all on the library app.
I think that generates us even less money than Readly.

My understanding is the Taito Legends are borked on PS2 (weird autofire or something on certain games).

Crazy to see how expensive Vita games are getting. I've got a new-complete set of Limited Run Vita games which are still sealed (missing about 16 games I think) and I did have Rose In The Twilight but sold it for a couple of hundred quid a few months back (I used the case to get Indiana Jones And The Infernal Machine on N64).
