  1. Not done one of these for a few weeks because 1) I've been busy, and 2) They've been shit. But this week is pretty good. Also, don't forget there were new StreetPass games last week - all 5 are pretty good, so you may as well buy the set, but you can choose either the slot car or the stock market one for free if you're strapped for money - they're both great. And there's a demo of Phoenix Wright too Oh, and a warning about the Sega 3D Classics - those are great games, and great prices BUT! there's a physical medium collection incoming soon so you might want to hold fire. Or buy both. Actually, buy both. And get Fairune while you're there. As usual, from Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Jotun: Valhalla Edition (Thunder Lotus Games, €13.49 / £10.79 until 15th September, normally €14.99/ £11.99) - A well-regarded title that Nintendo is promoting as one of the key 'Nindie' releases this month, it adopts a mostly overhead view as you battle to prove yourself to the Gods. With gorgeous visuals and steeped in Norse mythology, this one looks promising; we'll bring you a review but, in the meantime, we had a chat with the developers just before E3 that you can check out. 140 (Double Fine Productions, €7.99 / £5.59) - This has a minimalistic aesthetic for its blend of puzzle platforming. Developed by Carlsen Games / Abstraction Games this seems to be oozing style, and has a nice soundtrack to boot. We'll see whether it all adds up well in our review. Vektor Wars (Super Icon Ltd, €7.99 / £7.99 ) - A first-person shooter with stylised vector-based visuals, this has '9 world zones' in which you blast away at a variety of robot foes. We rather liked this for some intense arcade-style action, as we explain in our Vektor Wars review. Rorrim (Nitrolic Games, €4.52 / £4.09) - A Princess gets sucked into a mirror and a world of dungeons, and you have to guide her through maze-like areas from a top-down perspective. The twist here is that the GamePad and the TV show 'Mirror' and 'Real' viewpoints, so you need both to solve the puzzles and make progress. We'll go on a rescue mission and let you know what we think. Alice in Wonderland (Brave Rock Games, €4.52 / £3.78) - This appears to be a narrated visual novel with some illustrations as you read along and listen. We'll see whether it does a classic book justice in our review. TOUCH SELECTIONS (RCMADIAX, €2.99 / £2.69) - This combines two previous releases in one download: PEG SOLITAIRE and AVOIDER. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Mighty No. 9 (Deep Silver, €15.99 / £14.39 until 15th September, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Mighty No. 9 - Ray Expansion DLC (Deep Silver, €3.74 / £3.37 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Dragon Skills (Joindots, €7.19 / £6.11 until 22nd September, normally €7.99 / £6.79) Island Flight Simulator (Joindots, €7.19 / £5.39 until 22nd September, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Sweetest Thing (Joindots, €4.89 / £3.84 until 22nd September, normally €6.99 / £5.49) Bird Mania Party (Teyon, €0.99 / £0.89 until 29th September, normally €1.99 / £1.79) Zombie Defense (Teyon, €1.49 / £1.49 until 29th September, normally €1.99 / £1.99) Baila Latino (O2 Games, €12.90 / £11.90 until 5th October, normally €29.90 / £24.90) Fit Music for Wii U (O2 Games, €12.90 / £11.90 until 5th October, normally €29.90 / £24.90) Luv Me Buddies Wonderland (O2 Games, €12.90 / £11.90 until 5th October, normally €29.90 / £24.90) 360 Breakout (nuGAME, €5.00 / £4.00 until 6th October, normally €7.00 / £6.00) Wii U eShop Permanent Discount Canvaleon (OXiAB Game Studio, €4.95 / £4.49, previously €6.95 / £6.29) 3DS eShop Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice (Capcom, €29.99 / £24.99) - The latest in the series to make its way to the West as a download, this promising entry, this one features an extended cast of familiar faces, a mystical location and new features and twists such as séance trials. We're working on a review, but until then you can check out our impressions of the E3 demo. Kingdom's Item Shop (CIRCLE Ent, $5.00) - A quirky premise in which you run an item shop in a fantasy land, catering to heroes and their needs. You're supposed to set out and find new ingredients and goods to sell, however, and we suspect this one will aim to be as charming as possible. We'll open the doors on a review soon. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Final Fight (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19 or buy 2 get the 3rd free on New 3DS VC Final Fight trilogy) — This is one of the earlier arcade conversions to the Super NES, and an iconic beat 'em up that's certainly welcome on the New portable's Virtual Console. Though this beat 'em up port lacks the co-op play that made the arcade a classic it's still enjoyable, as we explained in our New 3DS Virtual Console Final Fight review. Final Fight 2 (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19 or buy 2 get the 3rd free on New 3DS VC Final Fight trilogy) — This second entry rights some wrongs of the first, including multiple playable characters and two-player co-op (the description for this New 3DS version does mention you can "have a friend join the fight"), though perhaps disappoints with some gameplay elements. You can see what we thought in our Wii U Virtual Console Final Fight 2 review, while we'll take to the streets again to take a fresh look. Final Fight 3 (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19 or buy 2 get the 3rd free on New 3DS VC Final Fight trilogy) — Rounding off the Super NES trilogy of titles hitting the New 3DS VC this week, this one includes more brawling on the streets but also the option of an automatic two player mode where you play with the CPU. By our reckoning this third entry is probably the best of the group, as explained in our Wii U Virtual Console Final Fight 3 review. 3DS DLC Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice Costume Bundle (Capcom, €0.99 / £0.89) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts 3D Fantasy Zone (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Gunstar Heroes (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Out Run (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Space Harrier (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Streets of Rage (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Streets of Rage 2 (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3D Super Hang-On (SEGA, €2.45 / £2.20 until 15th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven (Marvelous, €17.99 / £14.99 until 22nd September, normally €29.99 / £24.99) Adventure Bar Story (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.19 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Castle Conqueror EX (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.39 until 29th September, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Fairune (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99 / £1.59 until 29th September, normally €2.99 / £2.39) World Conqueror 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.19 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Rytmik Ultimate (Cinemax, €6.99 / £5.99 until 29th September, normally €17.99 / £15.99) The Keep (Cinemax, €3.99 / £3.49 until 29th September, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Cubit The Hardcore Platformer Robot (Coderchild, €1.99 / £1.80 until 29th September, normally €2.99 / £2.69) WordsUp! Academy (Coderchild, €1.99 / £1.79 until 29th September, normally €2.99 / £2.69) Zombie Incident (Coderchild, €1.49 / £1.49 until 29th September, normally €1.99 / £1.99) 3D Game Collection (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.59 until 22nd September, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Secret Agent Files: Miami (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.75 until 22nd September, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Atlantic Quest (Joindots, €3.49 / £2.49 until 22nd September, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Banana Bliss: Jungle Puzzles (Teyon, €1.99 / £1.79 until 29th September, normally €3.99 / £3.59) Bird Mania 3D (Teyon, €0.79 / £0.70 until 29th September, normally €0.99 / £0.89) Bird Mania Christmas 3D (Teyon, €0.79 / £0.70 until 29th September, normally €0.99 / £0.89) Chat-A-Lot (Teyon, €3.99 / £3.59 until 29th September, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Crazy Chicken: Director's Cut 3D (Teyon, €0.79 / £0.70 until 29th September, normally €0.99 / £0.89) Crazy Chicken Pirates 3D (Teyon, €0.99 / £0.90 until 29th September, normally €1.99 / £1.79) Cube Tactics (Teyon, €2.49 / £2.24 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Excave (Teyon, €3.49 / £2.99 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Governor of Poker (Teyon, €2.49 / £2.24 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Groove Heaven (Teyon, €1.99 / £1.79 until 29th September, normally €3.99 / £3.59) Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D (Teyon, €2.49 / £2.24 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D (Teyon, €2.49 / £2.24 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Iron Combat: War in the Air (Teyon, €3.49 / £3.09 until 29th September, normally €6.99 / £6.29) Ocean Runner (Teyon, €1.49 / £1.34 until 29th September, normally €2.99 / £2.69) Robot Rescue 3D (Teyon, €1.49 / £1.34 until 29th September, normally €2.99 / £2.69) Skater Cat (Teyon, €2.49 / £2.24 until 29th September, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Steel Empire (Teyon, €9.99 / £8.99 until 29th September, normally €15.99 / £14.39) Luv Me Buddies Wonderland (O2 Games, €9.90 / £9.90 until 5th October, normally €24.90 / £19.90) 3DS HOME Themes AA: Spirit of Justice: Athena Cykes Pixel Art (Capcom, €1.99 / £1.79) AA: Spirit of Justice: Main Characters (Capcom, €1.99 / £1.79) At School with Miffy by Mercis (Mercis / CPLG, €0.99 / £0.89) Drawing with Miffy by Mercis (Mercis / CPLG, €0.99 / £0.89) Miffy learns to write by Mercis (Mercis / CPLG, €0.99 / £0.89)
  2. can't wait for them to announce the galaxy 3ds. they didn't announce the galaxy 3ds
  3. Worldwide release! All in 3D! Does look awesome. (itprintsmoney.gif?) Starting pokémon!
  4. This week, from Nintendolife, some reasonable 3DS discounts and ALL THE MEGAMANZ. Nintendo missing a trick not releasing/reducing some Pokeymen games now the Blue/Red/Yellow deal is up: Wii U eShop Frankenstein - Master of Death (Joindots, €7.99 / £5.99) - This is another puzzle / object finding title with a focus on storytelling, seemingly similar in approach to the surprisingly good Dracula's Legacy. You're in the role of Victor Frankenstein (the real Frankenstein, not the monster!), and we're inclined to be optimistic about this one based on the quality of its predecessor. We'll bring you a review soon. Mortar Melon (Nitrolic Games, €5.00 / £4.49 ) - A physics-based title in which you fling a watermelon through multiple tricky stages, riffing on ideas that have been a major success in recent years. In our review we felt this one lacked creativity, while also suffering from some notable control issues. Plenty of Fishies (Nitrolic Games, €5.00 / £4.49 ) — This is a collection of modes and challenges for single players or groups up to five, with bite-sized challenges the order of the day. Due to some serious issues with performance, however, we were exceptionally critical of this game in our review. 360 Breakout (nuGAME, €7.00 / £6.00) - This one promises an 'out of the ordinary' Breakout experience, with the name suggesting a 360 degree challenge. With solo play being accompanies by two play VS and co-op, this tries to offer some variety to the classic formula; we'll see whether it's a breakout success in a review. Wii U Virtual Console Super Paper Mario (Nintendo, €19.99 / £17.99) - With its successor on the way this October, this rather clever Wii title makes its bow on the eShop. Unique in its adoption of both 2D and 3D perspectives, it also has an entertaining story and a fairly lengthy campaign. We were big fans in our original Super Paper Mario review. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom, €9.99 / £7.99 until 25th August, normally €49.99 / £39.99) DuckTales: Remastered (Capcom, €5.99 / £4.79 until 25th August, normally €14.99 / £11.99) Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (Capcom, €4.94 / £3.95 until 25th August, normally €14.99 / £11.99) Trine 2: Director's Cut (Frozenbyte, €8.49 / £6.99 until 29th August, normally €16.99 / £13.99) Trine Enchanted Edition (Frozenbyte, €6.49 / £5.49 until 29th August, normally €12.99 / £10.99) Wicked Monsters Blast! HD PLUS (Corecell, €2.99 / £2.69 until 1st September, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Joe's Diner (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.77 until 25th August, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Suspension Railroad Simulator (Joindots, €6.39 / £4.79 until 25th August, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Reptilian Rebellion (Herrero, €1.49 / £1.29 until 1st September, normally €1.99 / £1.79) 3DS eShop Ambition of the Slimes (CIRCLE Entertainment, €5.00 / £4.79) - A turn-based RPG in which you control a variety of slimes, rather than fighting them as you would in a certain classic series. The slimes have various types, strengths and weaknesses that need to be exploited for success. We'll get working on a review. Doll Fashion Atelier (Teyon, €4.99 / £4.49) - Teyon is a publisher that's never away from the eShop for long, and returns with a dress-up game in which you can style a variety of dolls across five different themes; naturally you can share your creations on Miiverse, too. With that said, we weren't fans of this in our Doll Fashion Atelier review. 3DS Retail Download Teddy Together (Nintendo) - A friendship game designed particularly for young children, you care for and interact with a teddy bear that's come to life. Released in Europe back on 1st July, this listing in Nintendo's press release is for its arrival in Australia / New Zealand on 11th August. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Mega Man X2 (Capcom, €3.99 / £3.59 until 25th August if you own Mega Man X3, otherwise €7.99 / £7.19) — While spin-offs aren't always a success, the early X games in the Mega Man series certainly captured the imagination. With a move-set and approach somewhat different to the "classic" series, this sequel is a rather good follow up to its X predecessor; we enjoyed this one in our Wii U Virtual Console Mega Man X2 review, and will take another look on New 3DS. Mega Man X3 (Capcom, €3.99 / £3.59 until 25th August if you own Mega Man X3, otherwise €7.99 / £7.19) — A game that represented the end of an era as Mega Man departed from Nintendo hardware to other platforms. As a farewell it's perhaps disappointing, and we were critical of it in our Wii U Virtual Console Mega Man X3 review. 3DS Demos Disney Art Academy (Nintendo, free) Undead Bowling (Joindots, free) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom, €8.99 / £7.49 until 25th August, normally €29.99 / £24.99) Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (Capcom, €3.99 / £3.59 until 25th August, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Mega Man Legacy Collection (Capcom, €9.99 / £7.99 until 25th August, normally €14.99 / £11.99) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Capcom, €14.99 / £12.49 until 25th August, normally €29.99 / £24.99) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies (Capcom, €9.99 / £7.99 until 25th August, normally €24.99 / £19.99) Return to PopoloCrois: A STORY OF SEASONS Fairytale (Marvelous, €22.99 / £19.99 until 25th August, normally €34.99 / £29.99) AeternoBlade (Corecell, €4.99 / £4.49 until 1st September, normally €14.99 / £13.50) Beyblade Evolution (Rising Star Games, €4.99 / £4.99 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £19.99) BIT.TRIP SAGA (Rising Star Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Girls' Fashion Shoot (Rising Star Games, €4.99 / £4.99 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £19.99) Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi (Rising Star Games, €11.99 / £11.99 until 25th August, normally €29.99 / £29.99) Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns (Rising Star Games, €9.99 / £8.99 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Hometown Story (Rising Star Games, €7.49 / £7.49 until 25th August, normally €29.99 / £29.99) Shifting World (Rising Star Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 25th August, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Virtue's Last Reward (Rising Star Games, €12.49 / £9.99 until 25th August, normally €24.99 / £19.99) SADAME (Rising Star Games, €7.49 / £6.49 until 25th August, normally €14.99 / £12.99) Real Heroes Firefighter 3D (Zordix AB, €4.99 / £4.49 until 18th August, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Funfair Party Games (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.69 until 25th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Jewel Match 3 (Joindots, €3.99 / £2.89 until 25th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Pazuru (Joindots, €4.99 / £2.99 until 25th August, normally €5.99 / £3.99) Undead Bowling (Joindots, €2.99 / £2.13 until 25th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Brunch Panic (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.49 until 1st September, normally €3.99 / £3.39) Petit Novel Series - Harvest December (CIRCLE Entertainment, €7.99 / £6.39 until 1st September, normally €11.99 / £9.19) Sweet Memories Blackjack (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.39 until 1st September, normally €3.99 / £3.19) 10-in-1: Arcade Collection (Gamelion, €0.99 / £0.89 until 1st September, normally €1.99 / £1.79) Crazy Kangaroo (Gamelion, €0.99 / £0.89 until 1st September, normally €1.99 / £1.89) Hazumi (Gamelion, €1.30 / £0.99 until 1st September, normally €2.69 / £1.99) League of Heroes (Gamelion, €1.99 / £1.79 until 1st September, normally €3.99 / £3.59) Monster Shooter (Gamelion, €1.99 / £1.60 until 1st September, normally €4.00 / £3.20) Pick-A-Gem (Gamelion, €1.49 / £1.29 until 1st September, normally €2.99 / £2.79) PIX3D (Gamelion, €1.99 / £1.79 until 1st September, normally €3.99 / £3.59) Rage of the Gladiator (Gamelion, €3.49 / £3.09 until 1st September, normally €6.99 / £6.29) SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition (Gamelion, €0.99 / £0.89 until 1st September, normally €1.99 / £1.79) SpeedX 3D (Gamelion, €1.49 / £1.29 until 1st September, normally €2.99 / £2.69) 3DS HOME Themes Animal Crossing: Summer Fun (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79)
  5. Not full list yet, but! Three Street Fighter games are on the way to the New 3DS: Street Fighter II Turbo Super Street Fighter II Street Fighter Alpha And it's buy two, get one free. All fine and dandy, but they're all the SNES versions. Which isn't a problem so much for the Street Fighter II games, but a shame for SFA2. EDIT! Full list from Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Secret Files: Tunguska (Deep Silver, €4.99 / £4.49 until 4th August, normally €9.99/ £8.99) - This one actually arrived at retail in Germany quite some time ago, and finally makes its way to the rest of the continent at a tempting price point on the eShop. A fondly regarded point-and-click puzzle adventure that's previously been on multiple past-gen Nintendo systems, we'll find some warm clothes and take this on for a review. 3Souls - Episode 1: Nelesa (Red Column, €3.60 / £3.20) - An intriguing episodic release that aims to put the GamePad to work, utilising the second screen to show a character's emotions along with some other uses. This title also includes co-op, and we'll see how well it delivers on its ambition in a review. Letter Quest Remastered (Digerati, €7.99 / £7.19 until 11th August, normally €9.99 / £8.99) - A word-based game which employs turn-based RPG elements, this certainly has the potential to deliver some thrills for wordy gamers. We'll dig out a Thesaurus and let you know what we think. Dragon Skills (Joindots, €7.99 / £6.79) - A title that takes its inspiration from the classic Brick Breaker formula, in this case you paddle a ball back and forth that has an ever-growing tail, with bonuses piling up the longer you survive. We'll break out our rose-tinted specs and bring you a review. Wii U Virtual Console R-Type (Konami, €7.99 / £7.19) - The first of a triple arrival of TurboGrafx-16 titles on the Wii U Virtual Console, having previously been part of the extensive VC on Wii. This is a very decent port of the classic arcade shoot 'em up, which is regarded both as one of the greats of its genre and as an extremely challenging title. You can check out our Wii Virtual Console R-Type review while we work on a fresh perspective on Wii U. New Adventure Island (Konami, €5.99 / £5.39) - Another TurboGrafx-16 title, and another good 'un. It can be argued that this is one of the best titles featuring Master Higgins; it has bright visuals and smooth controls, along with a clever mechanic in which your health depletes with the passing of time, making every move count. We praised this a great deal in our Wii Virtual Console New Adventure Island review. Bonk's Adventure (Konami, €5.99 / £5.39) - A third TurboGrafx-16 release, originally brought to the Wii VC by the now defunct Hudson. A rather colourful and conventional platformer in which you headbutt enemies, it also has some humour for extra flavour. We gave it a modest recommendation in our Bonk's Adventure review. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (ScrewAttack Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 11th August, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Beatbuddy (Threaks, €3.99 / £3.99 until 8th August, normally €8.99 / £8.09) Rock 'n Racing Off Road (EnjoyUp Games, €2.99 / £2.69 until 25th August, normally €5.99 / £5.39) 99Seconds (EnjoyUp Games, €1.49 / £1.34 until 25th August, normally €2.49 / £2.29) Darts Up (EnjoyUp Games, €1.49 / £1.34 until 25th August, normally €2.49 / £2.29) Island Flight Simulator (Joindots, €7.19 / £5.39until 11th August, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Sweetest Thing (Joindots, €4.89 / £3.84 until 11th August, normally €6.99 / £5.49) 3DS eShop Power Disc Slam (Chequered Cow Games, €11.99 / £9.99) - This 3DS title is, in spirit at least, a modern take on Neo Geo title Windjammers, albeit with modern features such as online multiplayer and 60fps stereoscopic 3D. It promises quite a lot of content, so we'll throw ourselves into it for a review. Psycho Pigs (Bergsala Lightweight, €7.99 / £7.19) - A quirky arena brawler that cites a 1987 Jaleco game as its inspiration, you battle it out as pigs while trying to use the environment as an asset. We'll see whether it's tasty like bacon of hammed up nonsense in our review. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console If you buy two of the following on the New 3DS before 11th August, you get the third free: Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19) - Although the original never arrived on Nintendo hardware, this sequel brought a taste of the arcade action to the Super NES. A spin-off from the core franchise, it utilises custom combos along with some fresh characters and a different art style; we were big fans of this in our Street Fighter Alpha 2 review. Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19) - This entry is more the typical Street Fighter action that's associated with the 16-bit era; in this one's case it has less flat-out content than its successor below, but does play faster courtesy of the Turbo options. We weighed it all up in our review for the Wii U Virtual Console release. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19) - This entry lacks the speed of Turbo Hyper Fighting, but boasts more characters and modes to choose from; on some metrics its better, but those that crave speed will disagree. In any case we gave it a strong recommendation in our review. 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates - IV: Light's Sacrifice (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of map pack 2) - Part IV of Heirs of Fate. Fire Emblem Fates: V: Endless Dawn (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of map pack 2) - Part V of Heirs of Fate. Fire Emblem Fates: End: Lost in the Waves (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of map pack 2) - Heirs of Fate finale. 3DS Demo Crazy Construction (Joindots, free) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (ScrewAttack Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 11th August, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Epic Word Search Collection (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 4th August, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Snow Moto Racing 3D (Zordix AB, €3.99 / £3.59 until 4th August, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Escape from Zombie City (Tom Create, €2.10 / £1.90 until 25th August, normally €2.99 / £2.69) Ninja Battle Heroes (Tom Create, €1.39 / £1.25 until 25th August, normally €1.99 / £1.79) Runny Egg (Tom Create, €1.40 / £1.25 until 25th August, normally €1.99 / £1.79) Smash Cat Heroes (Tom Create, €1.75 / £1.39 until 25th August, normally €2.49 / £1.99) Football Up Online (EnjoyUp Games, €1.99 / £1.79 until 25th August, normally €3.99 / £3.59) 3D Game Collection (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.59 until 11th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Secret Agent Files: Miami (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.75until 11th August, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Crazy Construction (Joindots, €3.49 / £2.49 until 11th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Atlantic Quest (Joindots, €3.49 / £2.49 until 11th August, normally €6.99 / £4.99) 4 Elements (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Azada (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Hidden Expedition Titanic (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Jewel Quest 4 Heritage (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Jewel Quest Mysteries 3 - The Seventh Gate (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Jewel Quest: The Sapphire Dragon (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Luxor (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79) Secret Mysteries in London (MSL, €1.00 / £1.00 until 25th August, normally €11.99 / £10.79)
  6. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies (prov. tittle) will be the last episode of the acclaimed puzzle series that started 5 years ago on the NDS. The story takes place one year after the events of The Miracle Mask, and will conclude the storyline of the second trilogy in the series. Not much more is known about it except that Layton, Luke, Emmy and Jean Descole will all be present again, and the full reveal will take place later this year at TGS 2012. The game is expected to launch in Japan during Summer 2013, and Euro 3DS owners can look forward to the game in late 2013. Lady Layton

  8. According to the latest rumours and the fact that Konami recently acquired the corresponding domain names, a new Castlevania game, subtitled Mirror of Fate is coming out somewhere in 2013. Mirror of Fate supposedly features 2D gameplay similar to what was produced on the NDS. However, this time Mercury Steam (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Clive Barker's Jericho) is making the game rather than Konami. Konami will still be publishing. It seems that Konami will be announcing Castlevania: Mirror of Fate, as a new 3DS title, at this year’s E3. The news apparently comes from the company’s appointment schedule for the event. Gameplay information is not yet available. However, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow producer David Cox and director/writer Enric Álvarez are supposedly working on Mirror of Fate too. Stay tuned for more news!
  9. This week, from Nintendolife, just a Kirby Demo (which is pointless as everyone should have bought the game already): Wii U eShop Buddy & Me: Dream Edition (Sunbreak Games, €4.39 / £3.89) - This is a hugely colourful and charming endless runner that was previously released on smart devices; naturally the Wii U edition has some enhancements to suit the home console. It looks like a lovely game, though we'll see whether it's dreamy or nightmarish in a review. Defend Your Crypt (Ratalaika Games, €2.99 / £2.69) - With retro-style visuals and a full stage view, this is a twist on real-time strategy and defence as you set traps to prevent treasure hunters stealing your gold. The concept certainly has potential, so we'll dig into a review and let you know what we think. Jewel Quest (iWin Inc., €4.39/ £3.49) - As the title suggests this is a HD version of the popular jewel matching game, in this case with the promise of 72 boards to take on; though lacking bells and whistles it achieves its goals, earning a recommendation in our Jewel Quest review. Toon Tanks (Petite Games, €1.99 / £1.79) - A top-down action game that seems like a revamp of late '70s classic Combat, it's a simplistic experience with little variety or incentive to keep playing - we explain why in our Toon Tanks review. Hot Rod Racer (ZeNfA Productions, €2.99 / £2.69) - The second title from ZeNfA, this adopts a top-down view for some pacy racing, with some customisation options also available to boost your vehicle. We'll hit the roads and bring you a review. Wii U Virtual Console A Shadow's Tale (Hudson Soft, €19.99 / £17.99) - An interesting arrival in the Wii download stakes, this stood out as a particularly intriguing 2D platformer during the last generation. It has some clever ideas that are put to good use, albeit with a few flaws affecting the experience; you can learn more in our A Shadow's Tale review. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Word Search by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 28th July, normally €7.99 / £5.99) STEEL LORDS (nuGAME, €7.50 / £6.00 until 18th August, normally €14.99 / £10.99) Wii U Retail Demo Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Nintendo, free) 3DS eShop Adventure Labyrinth Story (CIRCLE Entertainment, €5.00 / £4.50) - A spin-off from Adventure Bar Story, this is a rogue-like RPG in which you set off into a randomly generated dungeon with the goal of retrieving legendary treasure. You start with nothing and try to build your way up as you explore, but if you die you revert back to level one and simply start again. We'll go exploring and bring you a review. Ninja Smasher! (PUMO, €3.55 / £2.93) - A side-scrolling action title with a cute aesthetic, you play as a rather athletic ninja that can use a variety of weapons to dispose of foes; it could certainly be fun, and we'll check it out in a review. Defend Your Crypt (Ratalaika Games, €2.99 / £2.69) - The same game as on Wii U, but available on the go. New Nintendo 3DS eShop Wind-up Knight 2 (Unity Games, €4.50/ £4.00) - This is a runner in which you swing your sword, jump, roll and use your shield to survive; titles of this type can potentially be fun, of course, and as a New 3DS release this is also one of the standard-bearers for the Unity engine on the portable. We gave the Wii U version a modest recommendation in our review, and will see how this one fares on the portable. 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates: Map Pack 2 (Nintendo, €7.99 / £7.19) - Includes a total of six paid maps. Fire Emblem Fates: Another Gift from Anna (Nintendo, free) Fire Emblem Fates - I: In Endless Dreams (Nintendo, €0.49 / £0.49) Fire Emblem Fates - II: Realms Collide (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Fire Emblem Fates: III: The Changing Tide (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Word Search by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 28th July, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Aqua Moto Racing 3D (ZordixAB, €3.99 / £3.59 until 28th July, normally €7.99 / £7.19) European Conqueror 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.39 until 18th August, normally €3.99 / £2.99) Glory of Generals (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.59 until 18th August, normally €6.99 / £6.09) Samurai Defender (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99 / £1.59 until 18th August, normally €2.99 / £2.39) 3DS Retail Demo Kirby: Planet Robobot (Nintendo, free)

  11. From Nintendolife: Wii U eShop TAP TAP ARCADE 2 (RCMADIAX, €2.99 / £2.69) - This second mini collection includes SKEASY and also a new arrival called VOLCANO. We gave the former a modest recommendation in our review, and we'll see whether its companion in this bundle is red hot or rather dormant in fun. Sudoku and Permudoku (Diplodocus Games, €0.99 / £0.89) – Well, it's all in the name, with the classic number puzzles joined by a colour-based variation. There are 1000 puzzles, 500 of each with five difficulty settings, and we thought this was a competent effort in our Sudoku and Permudoku review. Cube Life: Island Survival (Cypronia, €9.99 / £7.99) - This game has been out for some time, so its inclusion in Nintendo's list likely points to a major update being on the way (we'll leave this one out of the poll for that very reason). Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Splatoon (Nintendo, €29.99 / £25.99 until 21st July, normally €39.99 / £34.99) Steel Rivals (nuGAME, €4.99 / £4.49 until 21st July, normally €6.99 / £5.99) Wii U eShop Permanent Discounts Nova-111 (Curve Digital, €9.99 / £7.99, was €14.99 / £11.99) Barbie and Her Sisters Puppy Rescue (Little Orbit, €19.99 / £17.99, was €29.99/ £24.99) Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (Little Orbit, €19.99 / £17.99, was €29.99/ £24.99) Monster High: New Ghoul in School (Little Orbit, €19.99 / £17.99, was €29.99/ £24.99) 3DS Downloadable Video Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva (Viz Media, €3.99 / £3.59) - Professor Layton, true English gentleman and the world's greatest amateur super sleuth embarks on his most daring adventure yet when he receives a letter from his old student, the famous opera diva Janice Quatlane. Two young school girls are the latest victims and the Professor suspects it's related to the mysterious occurrences at the theatre. The Professor and his loyal assistant Luke travel to the Opera House to solve their toughest puzzle yet, the mystery of Eternal Life! 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates: Ballistician Blitz (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of Map Pack 1) - You might remember the general layout of Ballistician Blitz from "The Wooden Cavalry" stage in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. Nowhere is safe from their relentless volleys, so speed is the key! The prize here is either a Sighting Lens or a Witch's Mark. Fire Emblem Fates: A Gift from Anna (Nintendo, free) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Dan McFox: Head Hunter (Lightwood Games, €1.99 / £1.49 until 21st July, normally €2.49 / £1.99) Castle Conqueror Defender (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.49 / £2.79 until 28th July, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Glory of Generals: The Pacific (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.29 until 28th July, normally €6.99 / £5.59) Karous - The Beast Of Re:Eden- (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.29 until 28th July, normally €5.99 / £4.79) Mercenaries Saga 2 (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.19 until 28th July, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Fantasy Pirates (EnjoyUp Games, €0.99 / £0.99 until 4th August, normally €4.50 / £4.50) RV-7 My Drone (EnjoyUp Games, €1.99 / £1.99 until 4th August, normally €2.99 / £2.99) Toys Vs. 12. This week, from Nintendolife, including the ever confusing HYRULE WARRIORS DLC: Wii U eShop Ziggurat (Milkstone Studios, €15.00 / £12.00) - Previously released on PC, this is a first-person dungeon-crawler / roguelike that promises to bring a different challenge every time you play as its sorcerer protagonist. It has a number of key ingredients for the genre, with lots of items and levelling up to do along with some boss encounters. There aren't many quirky takes on first-person 'shooters' on Wii U, so it'll be interesting to see whether this can cast a spell over us in a review. Midnight 2 (Petite Games, €1.99 / £1.79) - A second entry in the series that adopts a relaxing aesthetic for some gravity-based puzzles in which you propel the ball-like protagonist around various stages. It continues the solid work of its predecessor, as we explain in our Midnight 2 review. Wii U Retail Download LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (WB Games, €49.99 / £39.99) - We've had to wait for this one long after the Blu-Ray / DVD release of the film itself, but the comedic and no doubt formulaic LEGO take on the hit movie is finally arriving. It'll include a few story snippets that are new and exclusive, along with the usual slightly off-beat portrayal of the movie's main scenes. Along with puzzle platforming there'll be a bit of flying, and we'll blast through a review to tell you whether the force is with this one. Available from 28th June. Wii U DLC Hyrule Warriors: Legends of Hyrule Pack (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99 for Wii U only season pass, £15.29 / €16.99 with 3DS season pass) Hyrule Warriors: Character Pack (Nintendo, €11.99 / £10.79) - Includes Linkle, Skull Kid, Tetra, Toon Link, King Daphnes and Ganondorf's trident weapon. (Nintendo, €4.99 / £4.49) - Announced during E3 along with a discount for the first entry in this series, HAL Laboratory's cute little box returns with some extra box-based abilities (use two sets at once) and new puzzles to solve. We can expect plenty of charm and quirky collectables along with plenty of puzzle-based stages; we'll see whether all the sides of this one come together in a review. The Battle Cats POP! (PONOS, €9.99 / £8.99) - A successful smart device title that was given a big push by Nintendo in Japan when it arrived on the eShop, it now makes its way to the West. With a charming visual style this is a 2D tower defence game where the warriors in question are, of course, cats; there's also a multiplayer VS mode, too. We'll scratch out a review and let you know what we think. Available from 27th June. 3DS Retail Downloads Zero Time Dilemma (Aksys Games, €39.99 / £32.00) - The third part of this popular narrative / puzzle series arrives, with this entry set to fill in gaps and mysteries left over from Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue's Last Reward. It's a project that was largely made possible by vocal fan support, and it'll be interesting to see how it stacks up; we'll bring you a review as soon as we can. Available from 28th June. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (WB Games, €39.99 / £29.99) - As is now the norm we expect the portable entry to have a few gameplay changes from the Wii U iteration, with this 3DS entry likely to have a little less grand scale in its level designs and potentially a more linear approach. We'll find out and bring you a review. Available from 28th June. Teddy Together (Nintendo, €39.99 / £34.99) - A friendship game designed particularly for young children, you care for and interact with a teddy bear that's come to life. Available from 1st July. 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates - Map 9: Anna on the Run (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79 or part of map pack 1) - This one's all about Anna. You get the privilege of lending her a hand against a bunch of bizarre bandits. If you win, she'll join your army. Hyrule Warriors Legends: Link's Awakening Pack (Nintendo, €6.99 / £6.29 or part of season pass) - Includes Marin as a new playable character, boots for Linkle, Koholint Map in Adventure Mode and 15 My Fairy Costume Pieces) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Real Heroes: Firefighter 3D Download Version (Zordix AB, €4.99 / £4.49 until 7th July, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Epic Word Search Collection 2 (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 7th July, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Darts Up 3D (EnjoyUp Games, €0.99 / £0.89 until 28th July, normally €2.99 / £2.69) Football Up 3D (EnjoyUp Games, €1.99 / £1.79 until 28th July, normally €2.99 / £2.36) Funfair Party Games (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.69 until 14th July, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Jewel Match 3 (Joindots, €3.99 / £2.89 until 14th July, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Pazuru (Joindots, €4.49 / £2.99 until 14th July, normally €5.99 / £3.99) Undead Bowling (Joindots, €2.99 / £2.13 until 14th July, normally €6.99 / £4.99) 3DS Downloadable Video Permanent Discounts Shaun the Sheep - episodes 1-5 (Nintendo / Aardman Animations Ltd, €1.99 / £1.79, previously €2.99 / £2.69) Shaun the Sheep - episodes 6-10 (Nintendo / Aardman Animations Ltd, €1.99 / £1.79, previously €2.99 / £2.69) Shaun the Sheep - episodes 11-15 (Nintendo / Aardman Animations Ltd, €1.99 / £1.79, previously €2.99 / £2.69) Shaun the Sheep - episode 1-15 + Making of (Nintendo, Aardman Animations Ltd, €3.99 / £3.59, previously €6.99 / £6.29) 3DS Demo Monster Hunter Generations (Capcom, free) Wii U and 3DS DLC Hyrule Warriors Legends: Link's Awakening Pack (Nintendo, €8.99 / £8.09 or part of dual-system season pass)
  13. This week, from Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Dual Core (Gray Fin Studios, €9.99 / £8.99) - This colourful twin-stick shooter has robots as the protagonists, wrapping a sci-fi story around co-op focused gameplay. Teaming up with others locally or with the AI seems to be integral to getting through stages, and robots in the team can be gradually upgraded with progress. It looks like it has a lot of potential, so we'll process an opinion and bring you a review. Rubik's Cube (Cypronia, €2.49 / £2.24 until 21st July for users who own Cube Life: Island Survival, otherwise €4.99 / £4.49) - The name pretty much describes this one fully; here you have a virtual 3D representation of the famous puzzle to solve. We'll match the sides and bring you a review. STEEL LORDS (nuGame, €14.99 / £10.99) - A title that promises a blend of strategic board-game play with fighting, in principle it sounds promising. We hope this will be an improvement over the disappointing STEEL RIVALS, and will let you know what we think in a review. SPLASHY DUCK (RCMADIAX, €1.49 / £1.39) - The latest budget arrival from RCMADIAX, in this one you use one button to change the direction of the aforementioned duck, trying to avoid hits and collect gold coins. It seems to be another simplistic score chaser, but we'll see whether it can make a splash in our review. Wii U Virtual Console The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) - The Nintendo 64 returns to the Wii U with this classic title, which is also available on the 3DS in its remastered form. One of the most critically acclaimed and fondly regarded games of its era, it has a rather dark and peculiar tone, in addition to the challenge of saving the world in the same 72 hour window on multiple occasions. We loved this in our original Wii Virtual Console Majora's Mask review. Nintendo Presents: Style Boutique (Nintendo, €9.99/ £8.99 ) - A chance to see where the fashion-savvy series started on DS, particularly for those that have enjoyed the two most recent entries on 3DS. We'll work on our look and bring you a review. Wii U Retail Download Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE (Nintendo, €59.99/ £49.99) - A title that underwent (it seemed) a slightly troubled development and shifts in focus, it now arrives as a rather colourful and quirky RPG, incorporation Fire Emblem 'mirage' characters within the cast. With a catchy music focus and plenty of more traditional RPG depth this promises much; we'll see whether it delivers on that potential in our review prior to the game's release. Available from 24th June. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Nintendo, €49.99/ £39.99) - Arriving after the 3DS equivalent, this one offers HD takes on 17 different sports, with more intuitive multiplayer options if you want to battle some friends and family for the gold medal. This ersion also encourages friendly competition with 'Duel Events', too - we'll see whether it's a winner in a review. Available from 24th June. Mighty No. 9 (Deep Silver, €19.99/ £17.99) - A game that began as a phenomenal success on Kickstarter but has suffered some setbacks, notably with delays. It's finally ready to blast away on the Wii U, though, and we'll see whether Keiji Inafune and his Comcept team are on form in a review. Available from 24th June. Wii U DLC Minecraft: Wii U Edition Update (Mojang, free) - Will include the Battle mode feature. Available from 21st June. Minecraft: Wii U Edition: Battle Map Pack 1 (Mojang, €2.99 / £2.39) Minecraft: Wii U Edition: Battle Map Season Pass (Mojang, €9.99 / £7.99) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Tokyo Millennium Collection (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Mirage Hunter (EXP) (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Mirage Hunter (Mastery) (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Mirage Hunter (Savage Festival) (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - 3 Support Quest Set (Nintendo, €4.99 / £4.49) Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE - Atlus Collaboration Costume Set (Nintendo, €1.99 / £1.79) Mighty No. 9 - Ray Expansion (Deep Silver, €4.99 / £3.99) SDK Paint - Slideshows Pack 1 (HullBreach Studios, €0.50/ £0.50) SDK Paint - Slideshows Pack 2 (HullBreach Studios, €0.50/ £0.50) SDK Paint - Slideshows Pack 3 (HullBreach Studios, €0.50/ £0.50) SDK Paint - Total Slideshows Pack (HullBreach Studios, €1.25/ £1.09) Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts VoxelMaker (Nostatic Software, €3.59 / £2.79 until 30th June, normally €4.49 / £3.49) Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition (Digital Lounge, €2.35 / £2.15 until 7th July, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Wii U eShop Permanent Discount Devil's Third (Nintendo, €29.99 / £24.99, was €59.99 / £49.99) 3DS eShop Unholy Heights (Bergsala Lightweight, €5.99 / £5.39) - A rather quirky title promising a mix of tower defence and 'apartment management'; monsters are moving into your building so you set rent and make sure they're happy. You then try to repel heroes when they come to slay the monsters. It sounds like it could be fun, but we'll see whether it needs to be evicted in our review. Conveni Dream (CIRCLE Entertainment, €5.00 / £4.50) - Those that are eager smart device gamers will likely be familiar with resource management sim games, and this falls into that broad category. You take charge of a convenience store and try to gradually expand and improve, while also dealing with events and quests. We'll check the expiry date on this one and work on a review. Rubik's Cube (Cypronia, €4.99 / £4.49) - As per the Wii U version, though available on the go and at a lower resolution. 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates: Map 8 - Vanguard Dawn (Nintendo, €1.99/ £1.79 or part of Map Pack 1) - If you remember the "Elincia's Gambit" stage from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, this map might seem familiar to you! Standing firm against its waves of opponents could prove to be a tough challenge! 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition (Digital Lounge, €2.35 / £2.15 until 7th July, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Shingeki no Kyojin: Humanity in Chains (Atlus, €14.99 / £12.00 until 7th July, normally €29.99 / £34.99) Snow Moto Racing 3D (Zordix AB, €3.99 / £3.59 until 30th June, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Parking Star 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99 / £1.69 until 14th July, normally €2.99 / £2.49) Quell Reflect (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.79 / £2.19 until 14th July, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Swords & Soldiers 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £3.29 until 14th July, normally €6.99 / £5.59) Demon King Box (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.39 until 14th July, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Space Lift Danger Panic! 15. Interesting: http://www.shopto.net/digital/nintendo Nintendo have gone down the digital shop route a little differently to Microsoft and Sony. Not only can you buy games directly from the eShop, but you can also redeem codes for specific games - and that means that other retailers can in effect sell things that are linked to the eShop. Until now the only company doing this was GAME, but now ShopTo has started to offer the codes as well - and these can be directly redeemed on the Nintendo site with a couple of mouse clicks meaning that you don't even have to type them in. And to show why this is a good idea since retail competition is a great thing, ShopTo is offering some introductory discounts. Apparently. I can't find them.
  16. Well this came out of nowhere... E3 2014 trailer: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favourite hits on the Game Boy Advance system. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a "spectacular new world".
  17. Confirmed for a 2012 release in Europe during the Euro stream. Trailer: http://www.nintendo....dsbnr#120222_m2 This will be accompanied by the DLC plans that Nintendo has for it. The idea is to distribute extra maps and scenarios after the games release.
  18. From Nintendolife, all this shite: Wii U eShop Futuridium EP Deluxe (Mixed Bag, €7.99 / £5.99 until 2nd June, then €9.99/ £7.99) - Originally targeting an April release, this futuristic and high-speed title has you flying and shooting through a variety of colourful environments. Think of a faster Star Fox with elements of the Death Star run from the first Star Wars movie, and you're going in the right direction. We'll get cracking on a review. Wii U Virtual Console Mario Slam Basketball (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99) - Basketball that's about as Nintendo as it gets, throwing in Mario tricks and tweaks along with stylus-based controls. We'll go for a dunk and let you know how this DS title stacks up on Wii U. Wii U DLC LEGO MARVEL'S Avengers: Spider-Man Character Pack (WB Games, free) Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (Screwattack Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 9th June, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Inside My Radio (Seaven Studio, €11.99 / £9.99 until 9th June, normally €14.99 / £12.99) The Quiet Collection (Nostatic Software, €2.69 / £1.79 until 2nd June, normally €4.49 / £2.99) 3DS eShop Infinite Dunamis (KEMCO, €9.99 / £8.99) - This publisher has brought a number of iOS and Android RPG releases to Nintendo's portable, and this is another to add to the list. This one has a bit of a steampunk aesthetic going on, and we'll see whether it's an adventure worth embarking upon in our review. Epic Word Search Collection 2 (Lightwood Games, €7.99 / £5.99) - It's all in the name as this will offer a lot of word search puzzles on the 3DS, which its predecessor did rather well. There are five new categories, and this entry also adds a "flip controls" option to the user interface, which was apparently much requested by those that picked up the first game. We'll search for the right words and bring you a review. Smash Cat Heroes (Tom Create, €2.49 / £1.99) — This is a top-down action title across both screens in which you bust some serious fighting moves; it'll also be possible to upgrade your cat's abilities as you play. It makes for a cute and relatively fun hack and slash experience, which we gave a modest recommendation in our Smash Cat Heroes review. Samurai Defender (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.99 / £2.39) - Previously listed on 16th July last year, it's included once again in Nintendo's press release. A side-on castle defence game set in the "Warring States period of Japan". You tap on enemies to attack them with your bowmen, while earning coins and levelling up boosts your abilities and defensive options. We weren't particularly impressed in ourSamurai Defender review. 3DS DLC Fire Emblem Fates - Map 2: Boo Camp (Nintendo, or part of map pack 1) - A test of the nerves awaits in Boo Camp, when the army spends the night on a haunted mountain. Those who survive 'til morning are said to come out stronger for the experience, but is that just another ghost story? Fire Emblem Fates - Map 3: Beach Brawl (Nintendo, or part of map pack 1) - In Beach Brawl, Corrin has been awarded hotly contested tickets to a vacation resort. With only one ticket up for grabs, it falls to the royal retainers to fight for the honour—and leisure—of their lieges. 3DS eShop Nintendo Selects Discounts Available since 16th October 2015, listed once again by Nintendo in its press release. Star Fox 64 3D (Nintendo, €19.99 / £15.99, was €44.99 / £39.99) Nintendogs + Cats (Nintendo, €19.99 / £15.99, was €44.99 / £39.99) Mario Tennis Open (Nintendo, €19.99 / £15.99, was €44.99 / £39.99) Yoshi's New Island (Nintendo, €19.99 / £15.99, was €39.99 / £34.99) Mario Party: Island Tour (Nintendo, €19.99 / £15.99, was €39.99 / £34.99) 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts SteamWorld Heist (Image & Form, €14.99 / £11.24 until 9th June, normally €19.99 / £14.99) Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (Screwattack Games, €4.99 / £4.49 until 9th June, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Real Heroes: Firefighter 3D Download Version (Zordix AB, €4.99 / £4.49 until 2nd June, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Music On: Electric Guitar (Abylight, €0.99 / £0.90 until 23rd June, normally €1.99 / £1.89) 3DS eShop Permanent Discounts Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan (NIS America, €9.99 / £17.99, was €39.99/ £34.99) Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (NIS America, €19.99 / £8.99, was €39.99/ £34.99) Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (NIS America, €9.99 / £8.99, was €39.99/ £34.99) Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (NIS America, €9.99 / £8.99, was €39.99/ £34.99)
  19. Party like it's last decade with Mario Strikers and Super Meat Boy! From Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Super Meat Boy (Blitworks, €11.20 / £10.40 until 26th May, normally €14.00 / £13.00) - After being originally planned for WiiWare before the services' restrictions helped to scupper the idea, Team Meat's iconic title has finally made its way to Nintendo hardware. Brutal difficulty but tight, satisfying platfoming are hallmarks of the title on other platforms, and our imminent review will let you know what we think of this version. Color Symphony 2 (Remimory, €9.99 / £7.99) - A rather intriguing puzzle platformer that's previously made its mark on PC, this utilises changes in the colour of the stage to add and remove platforms and obstacles. The concept looks similar in principle to Runbow, albeit slower paced and with a different emphasis in its gameplay; we'll bring you a review soon. PIXEL SLIME U (RCMADIAX, €2.99 / £2.69) - This budget title utilises a single button for jumping an dodging obstacles, with the green blob in question moving automatically. It's a score chaser with a few twists throughout its 40 levels, but a few issues meant we stopped just short of giving a recommendation in our Pixel Slime U review. Wii U Virtual Console Mario Strikers Charged Football (Nintendo, €19.99 / £17.99) - A game that helped solidify the reputation of Next Level Games, and notable for supporting decent online play on Wii (which is unlikely to be supported here), this wacky take on football incorporates typical Mario shenanigans with solid arcade gameplay. We gave this a strong recommendation in our original Mario Strikers Charged Football review. Wii U DLC LEGO MARVEL'S Avengers: All-New, All-Different Doctor Strange Pack (WB Games, €2.99/ £2.50) Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom, €9.99 / £7.99 until 26th May, normally €49.99 / £39.99) DuckTales: Remastered (Capcom, €5.99 / £4.79 until 26th May, normally €14.99 / £11.99) Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (Capcom, €4.94 / £3.95 until 26th May, normally €14.99 / £11.99) Word Search by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 19th May, normally €7.99 / £5.99) STEEL RIVALS (nuGAME, €4.99 / £4.49 until 19th May, normally €6.99 / £5.99) 3DS eShop WordsUp! Academy (CoderChild, €2.99/ £2.69) - The 3DS has some solid options in terms of word games, and CoderChild is now making this pitch with a title that offers six different modes and multiple languages, with the added bonus of online leaderboards. We'll use our words to let you know what we think in a review. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Contra III: The Alien Wars (Konami, €7.99 / £7.19) — Originally known in Europe as Super Probotector: Alien Rebels, the U.S. version arrives in Europe once again on Nintendo's portable. It has plenty of manic run and gun action either in solo or co-op play, and is a stand-out action game from the Super NES era. We gave this an explosive recommendation in our Contra III: The Alien Wars review. 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom, €8.99 / £7.49 until 26th May, normally €29.99 / £24.99) Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (Capcom, €3.99 / £3.59 until 26th May, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Super Street Fighter IV 3D (Capcom, €7.99 / £7.19 until 26th May, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Capcom, €14.99 / £12.49 until 26th May, normally €29.99 / £24.99) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies (Capcom, €9.99 / £7.99 until 26th May, normally €24.99 / £19.99) Terraria (505 Games, €14.99 / £12.74 until 26th May, normally €19.99 / £16.99) 2 Fast 4 Gnomz (QubicGames, €2.99 / £2.69 until 9th June, normally €4.99 / £4.49) AiRace Speed (QubicGames, €2.39 / £2.10 until 9th June, normally €3.49 / £3.10) AiRace Xeno (QubicGames, €1.69 / £1.59 until 9th June, normally €2.49 / £2.29) Word Search by POWGI (Lightwood Games, €5.99 / £4.49 until 19th May, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Goosebumps: The Game (GameMill, €15.99 / £12.49 until 13th June, normally €24.99 / £19.99) 3DS eShop Demo Witch & Hero 2 (CIRCLE Entertainment, free)
  20. This week, some stuff! Woo! And Lost ReavAAHAHAHAhahaHAhahAHAHhAHAH. From Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge (Nintendo, free) - A rather charming-looking release that gives a free-to-play twist to the Mario vs. Donkey Kong franchise. This time around you need amiibo figures to unlock stages, with each having their own special abilities; Mario can wall jump, Yoshi can eat enemies and so on. We'll get chummy with our amiibo and bring you a review soon. Lost Reavers (Bandai Namco, free) - Available as a beta since 14th April, it'll land in its final form at 10am UK / 11am CET on 28th April. This is a free-to-play co-op action title in which you team up with three others to fight your way to treasures before extracting them from the area. Lots of co-op hacking and slashing is expected, and we'll see how the full experience stacks up in a review. Shütshimi (Choice Provisions, €9.99 / £6.99) - A shoot 'em up in a WarioWare style with extremely short levels and plenty of chaos on screen, this also has co-op and GamePad off-TV play. It's a colourful and bonkers creation from developer Neon Deity Games, and we rather enjoyed it in our review. PixelMaker (Nostatic Software, €2.49 / £1.99) - Having previously brought us VoxelMaker, Nostatic now seems to be taking the same approach to producing pixel art. At a budget price this promises the ability to utilise the GamePad for producing scenes of pixel art, which can then naturally be shared to Miiverse. We'll get creative and let you know what we think in a review. Run Run and Die (EnjoyUp Games, €3.99/ £3.59) - A simple runner designed to make you rage. There are 24 levels in total, some riffing on old consoles, and you simply press a button or tap the GamePad screen to make the auto-running penguin jump. Levels switch angle and you're expected to die a lot, so this one is likely pitching for YouTube fame. We'll p-p-pick up this penguin and write a review. TAP TAP ARCADE (RCMADIAX, €1.99/ £1.79) - This is a compilation download that includes both DON'T CRASH and SPIKEY WALLS. A nice idea, though as we're not fans of the actual included games we weren't particularly positive in our TAP TAP ARCADE review. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Teslagrad (Rain Games, €10.00 / £9.50 until 18th May, normally €14.99 / £13.99) Secret Files: Tunguska (Deep Silver, €6.49 until 5th May, normally €9.99) Wii U eShop Permanent Discounts Epic Dumpster Bear (Log Games, €6.49 / £4.99, was €9.49/ £7.49) 3DS eShop Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge (Nintendo, free) - The same as the Wii U release, just extra mini courtesy of the smaller screens. Sssnakes (EnjoyUp Games, €1.99/ £1.79) - A modern riff on Snake, the classic game that originated (as a concept) in the '70s but shot to prominence on early Nokia phones. This title aims to add modern touches to the formula of eating and avoiding your own tail, with the ability to 'shoot', multiple snakes on screen and varied environments, along with online leaderboards. We'll sssee what it's like in a review. Castle Conqueror EX (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99) — Already released in Europe last year, this is likely included for a German release. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Super Punch-Out!! (Nintendo, €7.99 / £7.19) - The latest Super NES game on the New 3DS is another that's much loved; this successor to the iconic NES original was a true leap in visuals and style, with even more outrageous foes. Colourful and manic, this is certainly a lot of fun - we gave it a strong recommendation in our Wii U Virtual Console Super Punch-Out!! review, and will take another look on New 3DS. 3DS Retail Download Yo-kai Watch (Nintendo / Level-5, €39.99 / £34.99) - This series has become a phenomenon in Japan and arrived in North America late last year, with the anime series and toys also contributing to its success. It'll now try and repeat the trick in Europe, with its twist on battle mechanics and collecting Yo-Kai raising similarities to Pokémon while, undoubtedly, forging its own identity. Though it falls short of beinggreat we gave it a recommendation in our Yo-kai Watch review. Available from 29th April. 3DS eShop DLC SteamWorld Heist: The Outsider (Image & Form, €4.99/ £4.49) - This expansion brings some new story and a mysterious new character, as recently teased by Image & Form. A new playable character, missions, weapons and hats are all promised as part of this expansion, and we'll bring you more as Image & Form makes its announcement. 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars (Atlus, €9.99 / £8.99 until 12th May, normally €29.99 / £24.99) World Conqueror 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99 / £1.59 until 5th May, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Swords & Soldiers 3D (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99 / £1.59 until 5th May, normally €6.99 / £5.59) Tappingo 2 (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €2.99 / £2.39) The Legend of Dark Witch - Chronicle 2D Act (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Adventure Bar Story (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.49 / £1.99 until 5th May, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Castle Conqueror EX (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Fairune (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €2.99 / £2.39) Demon King Box (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €3.99 / £3.19) KAMI (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €2.99 / £2.39) Witch & Hero (CIRCLE Entertainment, €0.99 / £0.79 until 5th May, normally €3.99 / £3.19) Mercenaries Saga 2 (CIRCLE Entertainment, €2.49 / £1.99 until 5th May, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Real Heroes: Firefighter 3D Download Edition (Zordix AB, €4.99 / £4.49 until 5th May, normally €9.99 / £8.99)
  21. Wii U eShop Star Fox Guard (Nintendo, €14.99 / £12.99 or €9.99/ £9.99 for those with Star Fox Zero on the same Wii U) - Originally 'Project Guard' and showcased as a demonstration of unique GamePad-based gameplay, this has emerged as an accompaniment to Zero. Your challenge is to place and then monitor 12 camera feeds, spotting incoming robots and destroying them before they take out your base. A relatively simple concept on paper, we nevertheless found it enthralling and surprisingly scary in our Star Fox Guard preview; our review will be with you before launch. Available from 22nd April. Queens Garden (Joindots, €6.99/ £5.49) - Beyond wondering whether there should be an apostrophe in the name, we do know that this looks like a colourful match-3 title for the eShop. We'll give it the royal treatment for a review. Paranautical Activity (Digerati, €9.99) - Listed previously for Europe, in this case it seems to be a German release date. Wii U Virtual Console Mario Party DS (Nintendo, €9.99/ £8.99) - Though this series is most highly regarding for its home console offerings, portable versions do at least offer some minigames on the go. 'Download Play' multiplayer will be out, so we'll see how much can be done by passing the GamePad back and forth, while a solo campaign is an option; we'll bring you a review soon. Mario Party 2 (Nintendo, €9.99/ £8.99) - We jump straight to the second N64 entry in the series, which makes sense as it improved on the original and included a number of the same minigames. This one did include more unique game boards, and as this Wii U version will also offer more standard multiplayer shenanigans; we'll have another party for this one, but until then you can check out our original Wii Virtual Console review. Wii U Retail Download Star Fox Zero (Nintendo, €49.99 / £39.99 or €44.99 / £36.99 for those with Star Fox Guard on the same Wii U) - After skipping the Wii entirely we finally have a fresh Star Fox title on a home console, and it's an ambitious effort that incorporates a new GamePad-centric control scheme. In addition to flight levels there are other vehicles and control schemes thrown into the mix, along with plenty of content for players to master. Our review will be with you before launch, but until then you can catch up with our Star Fox Zero preview. Available from 22nd April. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Shovel Knight (Yacht Club Games, €9.99 / £8.66 until 28th April, normally €14.99 / £12.99) Never Alone (E-Line Media, €3.74 / £3.24 until 4th May, normally €14.99 / £12.99) Shadow Puppeteer (Snow Cannon, €10.00 / £9.00 until 11th May, normally €14.99 / £13.49) Family Tennis SP (Shin'en Multimedia, €3.74 / £2.99 until 12th May, normally €4.99 / £3.99) Jones on Fire (Joindots, €2.99 / £2.29 until 5th May, normally €5.99 / £4.59) 3DS eShop Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei (Aksys Games, €34.99 / £28.00) - Langrisser started on the Sega Mega Drive and had several sequels up through the Sega Saturn, but the only entry to ever make it out of Japan was the first game. With this one heading West on 3DS (eShop only in Europe) it has a chance to win over new fans; it promises branching story paths, plenty of strategic battles and 100+ hours of gameplay.Available from 19th April. Dan McFox: Head Hunter (Lightwood Games, €2.49 / £1.99) - This isn't just an opportunistic release with the Foxy theme of the week, but is also a rare release from Lightwood Games that isn't a word game. It's a port of a mobile title generally targeting young gamers, as it incorporates elements of the 'Guess Who' board game, challenging the player to frantically pick out faces that fit the right criteria. It'll include online leaderboards, and we'll bring you a review soon. 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts Shin Megami Tensei IV (Atlus, €9.99 / £8.99 until 5th May, normally €19.99 / £17.99) Shovel Knight (Yacht Club Games, €9.99 / £8.66 until 28th April, normally €14.99 / £12.99) 3D MahJongg (Joindots, €3.99 / £3.59 until 5th May, normally €4.99 / £4.49) Safari Quest (Joindots, €4.99 / £3.99 until 5th May, normally €6.99 / £4.99) Gardenscapes (Joindots, €5.99 / £4.49 until 5th May, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Murder on the Titanic (Joindots, €5.99 / £4.49 until 5th May, normally €7.99 / £5.99) Carps & Dragons (Abylight, €2.49 / £2.24 until 21st May, normally €4.99 / £4.49) 3DS eShop Demo Pocket Card Jockey (Nintendo, free) 3DS HOME Themes Animal Crossing: Gardening Weather (Nintendo, €1.99/ £1.79) Hatsune Miku: Paper Craft Theme (SEGA, €1.79/ £1.59)
  22. From Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Olympia Rising (PlayEveryWare, €4.99 / £4.49) - This is an adventure platformer with some rather stylish pixel-based visuals, as expected revolving around climbing up Mount Olympus. This looks impressive on other platforms, so we'll see how it stacks up on Wii U in a review. Paranautical Activity (Digerati, €9.99 / £8.99) - A game with a somewhat unique and controversial history, it features procedurally-generated levels and permadeath - two common Roguelike elements - as well as hordes of enemies and bosses to fight. Upgrades are available to make things a bit easier, and there are plenty of hidden items to seek out. We'll tackle a review soon. COLOR BOMBS (RCMADIAX, €1.49/ £1.39 ) - A chain-reaction title in which players must collect a predetermined amount of the aforementioned bombs to complete a stage. We were very critical of this in our COLOR BOMBS review. Rubik's Cube (Cypronia, €4.99/ £4.49) - This is the 'official Rubik's Cube game', designed to recreate the iconic puzzle on your console. Well, we'll puzzle it out for a review. Star Sky 2 (JMJ Interactive, €4.00/ £3.60) - A follow-up to a previous Wii U arrival, this is designed to be a relaxing, meditative experience in which you explore and soak in the atmosphere. We didn't think the first game hit the mark, but will find our inner peace to give this one a try. Wii U Virtual Console Yoshi's Story (Nintendo, €9.99 / £8.99 ) - Known as Yoshi's Island 64 in the early stages of its development, this entry into the Yoshi canon finally makes its Virtual Console debut. The platforming action here takes place within a pop-up storybook and has an interesting visual style, with pre-rendered 3D graphics used to craft worlds made from materials such as wood, fabrics and cardboard. We gave this a modest recommendation in our review. Wii U eShop DLC Runbow will receive a range of DLC options this week, as follows: Satura's Space Adventure (13AM Games, €6.49/ £5.89) - Teased by 13AM Games recently, stay tuned for an exclusive reveal on Nintendo Life later today. Lilac (13AM Games, free) Professionals Pack (13AM Games, €1.99/ £1.79) Winter Pack (13AM Games, €2.99/ £2.69) Anime Pack (13AM Games, €1.99/ £1.79) SteamPunk Pack (13AM Games, €1.99/ £1.79) New Costumes and Music Bundle (13AM Games, €6.49/ £5.89) Extra Value Bundle (13AM Games, €11.99/ £10.79) Wii U Open Beta Lost Reavers (Bandai Namco, free) - You can put this free-to-play online co-op shooter to the test in this beta until 26th April. Wii U Nintendo Selects on the eShop (from 15/04) New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) New Super Luigi U (Nintendo, €9.99/ £8.99) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) LEGO City: Undercover (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) Nintendo Land (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) Wii Party U (Nintendo, €24.99/ £19.99) Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Runbow (13AM Games, €10.49/ £8.24 until 28th April, normally €13.99 / £10.99) Wicked Monsters Blast! HD Plus (Corecell, €2.99/ £2.69 until 28th April, normally €7.99 / £7.19) Stone Shire (Finger Gun Games, €1.00/ £1.00 until 14th May, normally €1.99 / £1.79) 3DS eShop Super Strike Beach Volleyball (Natsume, €4.99 / £4.49) - Promising 'high-octane' beach volleyball, you have the choice of eight characters (with different abilities) and a campaign mode to take on, though free-play is an option too. This could undoubtedly be fun, so we'll dig out a beach towel and let you know what we think. Rubik's Cube (Cypronia, €4.99 / £4.49) - This portable version of the 'official Rubik's Cube game'. New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Pilotwings (Nintendo, €7.99 / £7.19) — This flying game was a trailblazer when first released, combining different vehicles and challenges with the goal of flying your way to a surprising and epic final mission. Not exactly a detailed flight sim, but under the right circumstances still laid back, this one certainly has a loyal group of fans that we suspect will eagerly pick it up on Wii U. We gave this a modest recommendation in our Wii U Virtual Console Pilotwings review. 3DS eShop Temporary Discounts AeternoBlade (Corecell, €10.99/ £9.99 until 28th April, normally €14.99 / £13.50) Karous: The Beast of RE: Eden (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99/ £3.29 until 28th April, normally €5.99 / £4.79) Samurai Defender (CIRCLE Entertainment, €1.99/ £1.59 until 28th April, normally €2.99 / £2.39) Snow Moto Racing 3D(Zordix AB, €3.99/ £3.59 until 21st April, normally €7.99 / £7.19) 3DS HOME Themes Hatsune Miku: Carton Box Theme (SEGA, €1.79/ £1.59) Hatsune Miku: Deluxe Theme (SEGA, €1.79/ £1.59) Elves and Unicorns: A special friendship (Rainbow, €1.99/ £1.79) Bloom and Stella Tynix A magical transformation (Rainbow, €1.99/ £1.79) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: Shadow & Light (Nintendo, €1.99/ £1.79) 3DS HOME Theme Permanent Discounts Mia and Me main characters: Mia, Mo, Yuko and Onchao (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Mia and Me: Mia in Centopia (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Mia and the Unicorns (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) The Winx at Alfea (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Winter in Centopia (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Winx Club Fashion Style: Flora and Bloom (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Winx Club Mythix: Bloom, Stella and Flora (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79) Winx Music & Magic:Dancing to the rhythm of magic (Rainbow, €0.99/ £0.89, was €1.99 / £1.79)
  23. None of this matters because everyone is still playing HYRULE WARRIORS LEGENDS. Still, this lot via Nintendolife: Wii U eShop FreezeME (RNC, €9.99 / £8.80 until 7th April and then €13.99 / £12.59) - A 3D platformer that cites N64 titles as an inspiration and with some elements strongly reminiscent of Super Mario Galaxy, this includes a mechanic for freezing items that utilises the GamePad screen or Wii Remote pointer. It's certainly a slick and impressive offering from RNC, earning a strong recommendation in our FreezeME review. Chompy Chomp Chomp Party (Utopian World of Sandwiches, €10.99 / £8.99) - A highly promising party game that utilises the Wii U's capabilities in allowing up to nine players to take part at once. There are a variety of modes that riff on the core concept of 'chompy' characters chasing and eating each other. We played this and had a hoot in the past, and will check out the full game to let you know what we think. Tachyon Project (Eclipse Games, €9.99 / £8.99) - With a dramatic setting and storyline there'll be 10 levels in which the tale is told in this twin-stick shooter, with each having six progressive waves of enemies. There'll be three challenge levels with support for up to four players locally, while there are six weapons, nine secondary weapons, seven perks, over 30 enemy types and four bosses. We'll shoot every pixel in sight for our review. The Beggar's Ride (Bad Seed, €7.99 / £7.49) - This is a puzzle platformer in which an old man dons a mask and is the recipient of mysterious powers, given the ability to manipulate the environment. We'll check it out for a review. Wii U Virtual Console Metroid: Other M (Nintendo, €19.99 / £17.99) - A title that caused quite a stir and some controversy when it arrived on Wii, this glossy and cinematic Metroid was co-developed by Team Ninja, incorporating 2D controls within a 3D environment along with some Wii Remote pointer aiming. An ambitious entry with a storyline and voice acting that's not to everyone's taste, it divided fans and critics. For our part we enjoyed it in our Metroid: Other M review. Wii U DLC Lego Marvel Avengers: The Masters of Evil Pack (WB Games, €2.99 / £2.50) Lego Marvel Avengers: Classic Captain Marvel Pack (WB Games, €2.99 / £2.50) Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Fire Emblem (Nintendo, €3.49 / £3.14 until 14th April, normally €6.99 / £6.29) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (Nintendo, €3.49 / £3.14 until 14th April, normally €6.99 / £6.29) Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Nintendo, €4.99 / £4.49 until 14th April, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Life of Pixel (Super Icon, €4.99 / £4.49 until 18th April, normally €9.99 / £8.99) Canvaleon (OXIAB Game Studio, €4.95 / £4.49 until 7th April, normally €9.95 / £8.99) Chasing Dead (2020 Venture, €9.99 / £7.99 until 30th April, normally €29.99 / £24.99) 3DS eShop Justice Chronicles (Kemco, €9.99 / £8.99) - Kemco returns with another retro-styled RPG that was originally released on smart devices. 24. This weeHYRULE WARRIORS LEGENDS YAAAAS. From Nintendolife: Wii U eShop Infinity Runner (Wales Interactive, €6.49/ £5.89) - This is a first-person runner title set on a large spaceship that's descended into a nightmare, and you try to escape by running quickly and occasionally turning into a werewolf - with 14 levels it could be rather fun. Our review will be with you this week. Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut (WayForward, €9.99/ £6.99) - A re-release of the popular DSiWare title, this aims to recreate the original in HD with some helpful new additions like a warp system for getting around the sizeable map. It'll also look rather shiny in HD; we'll get whipped into shape for a review. Wii U Virtual Console Star Fox 64 (Nintendo, €4.99 / £4.49 until 21st April, then €9.99/ £8.99) - A classic of the Nintendo 64 era and, arguably, the definitive entry in this franchise. It's providing plenty of inspiration - it seems - for the upcoming Star Fox Zero on Wii U, and now lands on the Virtual Console as a warm-up for the new launch. Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts Ascent of Kings (Nostatic Software, €1.49 / £1.11 until 31st March, normally €1.99 / £1.49) Word Party (Lightwood Games, €11.99 / £11.19 until 7th April, normally €15.99 / £14.99) Suspension Railroad Simulator (Joindots, €7.19 / £5.39 until 7th April, normally €7.99 / £5.99) New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Donkey Kong Country (Nintendo, €7.99/ £7.19, or €3.99/ £3.59 for users who've downloaded Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest on New 3DS using the same NNID) — One of the all-time classic platformers, this title from Rare made stars of DK, Diddy Kong and Cranky Kong, while using graphical technology that was mind-blowing in the 16-bit era. We argue that it's barely aged a day, as a gaming experience, in our Wii U VC Donkey Kong Country review. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (Nintendo, €7.99/ £7.19, or €3.99/ £3.59 for users who've downloaded Donkey Kong Country on New 3DS using the same NNID) — The second home console DK entry from Rare, this one puts you in charge of Diddy Kong as you seek to rescue the captured DK; it provides more of the attractive visuals and gameplay that made the first title so hugely popular. We couldn't say enough positive things about this in our Wii U VC Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest review. 3DS Retail Download Hyrule Warriors Legends (Nintendo, €39.99/ £34.99) - A game that caused quite a stir when it originally arrived on Wii U, Koei Tecmo has now brought its Warriors / Legend of Zelda mash-up to the portable with extra characters and a new Linkle storyline included; naturally there'll also be a lot of DLC. Our review will be with you later today.
