  1. That's all you get. That's it. It was enough to make me get out of bed at 2am and scream OH MY GOD
  2. The above trailer is pretty... Surprised there hasn't been any interest in this title on here, given the popularity of the Zero Escape series. Written and directed by Kotaro Uchikoshi, it's basically the Jennifer Lopez film 'The Cell', in game form. You play a detective who solves crimes by entering the dreams of others. And like that film, it's pretty grisly. Outside of the trailer, I've been pretty much on blackout for this. It looks right up my street and I'll be day one on its release on July 26th.
  3. Bought this on a whim after seeing a video for it on the Switch news channel - I’m playing it on Switch. I don’t know what’s going on but holy shit does it look good. Few frame drops here and there but pretty pin sharp in handheld otherwise. It’s an arena fighter, a bit like Power Stone or Kill La Kill If (the latter I also had on switch but this is a lot better and has bags more content). In style terms and with the bonkers Japanese voices it’s like an arena version of Dragonball Fighterz. I don’t have any experience with the Manga/Anime it’s based on - My Hero Acadamia - but I like the style. I’ll have to play a lot more to see what sort of depth is there but having a blast right now.

  5. Game impressions/discussion starts here By Guerilla Games Release Date: February 28th 2017 ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS Maybe a bit early to dedicate a thread to but that footage looks a bit amazing.
  6. I thought this might have been Onimusha at first, but no it's a new PS4 exclusive from Sucker Punch. Open world set in feudal Japan.
  7. I am suggesting that we start a new thread on Modern Warfare's Warzone - the new Battle Royale mode that launches today. Since the mode is free to play, cross platform and the lifecycle will seemingly go way beyond the main game, I think it makes sense. IMO, this is looking mighty tasty. I have watched a lot of in-depth videos last night and this morning and I haven't been this hyped for a BR in a while. Here's a few that showcase a lot of details on how the main mode works, what you can buy for in-game cash, etc. We're also going to find out about another mode called Plunder later today. HYYYYYYPED!!!
  8. Thought this deserved its own topic as it's getting rather good reviews and is out tomorrow. It's a several hours long walking simulator, which seems like the perfect antidote to the lengthy epics we've been getting over the past few months. The hook of the game seems to be a more morbid Gone Home. You play as a girl returning to her family home and exploring the rooms of her now long-dead relatives. So far, so derivative. But what sets it apart is that you play as a participant in each family member's death via flashbacks. While most reviews have wisely steered clear of spoiling too much, these are meant to be extremely diverse (in terms of both presentation and tone), imaginative and often very sad. It's from The Unfinished Swan devs and although there aren't tons of reviews out yet, the ones that are look really promising. It's out tomorrow for £15.99, but if you preorder it on PSN today and are a Plus member, it's £12.79.
  9. Looks metal af, especially as the world is called Cvstodia, and using Vs as Us is fvcking cvlt . No doubt I'll buy it, play it for an hour before I realise I'm fucking awful at it and never play it again but shit, look at it.
  10. this seems up a lot of our streets, doing drift turns and so on.
  11. Doomfist; Anniversary Event 23rd May - 12th June
  12. This first got my attention at EGX 2015, and I've been looking forward to it ever since. Been playing it for a while now after backing the Kickstarter and it hasn't disappointed me. It's taken a while mainly because it's been made by a three man team, but it has an excellent licensed soundtrack and lovely production values. Funded by the Greenshoots programme set up by Microsoft and Creative England. Obviously hugely influenced by Rez but different enough to have its own identity. For one thing it's less relaxing, with shorter, more intense levels (15 of them). The major new gameplay mechanic is the ribbon of light you have to trace with the left analogue stick, which follows a part of the track - usually the bass line, sometimes the vocal. This drops out, Guitar Hero/Amplitude style, if you aren't in the right place, and in this way the gameplay feels very connected to the music. So yeah, it's dead good and you should all probably buy it.
  13. Actual impressions of the game start here: Let's kick this topic off! 10 years in the making: Looks a lot like a cross between Onimusha, Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden. Team Ninja are developing, so hopefully it will have some of that old NG1/2 magic and not NG3.
  14. https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2019/12/17/introducing-the-dualshock-4-back-button-attachment-out-14th-february/#sf226281113 I am not a pro gamer and so do not own any pro gamer controllers. However I have been told that having some buttons on the back, where your fingers probably don't exactly sit at the moment, can be very useful in games like Rocket League where you want to boost, jump, drift and send "What a save" at the same time. So now you can buy an ugly-as-sin attachment to the standard DS4 to stop you spending £428 on a customised third-party controller. And throw away your chatpad as well.
  15. Please be good, please be good, please get swinging right, please be good

  17. By Crytek Official Site Release Date: Take a wild guess... ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS Looks very promising. And maybe this one won't be stuck in early access hell?
  18. Super sketchy stolen trailer might not last for long... Should be fully announced at Gamescom next week.
  19. Most important bit currently: Switch version out on August 7, 2018! Should leave you with enough time to complete Hollow Knight.
  20. Couldn't see a thread on this already. http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020/02/ps_plus_march_2020_ps4_games_announced SOTC remake and Sonic Forces Personally not played either so i'm looking forward to these joining the digital pile of shame
  21. https://uk.ign.com/articles/samurai-jack-video-game-announced-for-pc-ps4-xbox-and-switch http://www.adultswim.com/games/samurai-jack http://soleilgamestudios.com/EN/games/20001/ Developed by Soleil Game Studios, whose CEO Yoshifuru Okamoto worked as a producer on Ninja Gaiden II and Devil's Third. The IGN article suggests that others in the development team worked on Ninja Gaiden and DOA too. Here's the trailer; watch to the end to hear Greg Baldwin's Aku saying "Rated T for Teen"! Unfortunately, although some of the graphics look like they do a good job of translating the caroon's geometric style into 3D (e.g. those spiky tree trunks and pastel leaf blobs in the background at 0:14), they haven't gone for a borderless, flat cel-shaded style that would have matched the cartoon. Also, so far there's not enough robot oil blood splattering on display for my liking! Looks like the game will cover events from the original series run, as well as season 5's Bearded, Machine-Gunning Biker Jack. This means we'll be able to fight at least two of the seven Daughters of Aku, who gave us one of the best animated fight sequences I've ever seen. And yes, the Scotsman will be in it, which is good news because season 5 didn't give us enough of him! The alligator robot from this shot is from the episode where he first turned up: From IGN:
  22. Maybe set around the Mayan Temples/pyramids of Mexico?
  23. New P5 game just announced for the PS4 and Switch, a musou style game from Atlus and Koei Tecmo. New thread to allow the other P5 one to stay on the original game and The Royal First Trailer below.
