People have been saying they'll do an Academy show for a long time. Maybe since TNG ended? But now they really are, with a full series order. It'll be a while. Won't be going into production until next year. Don't know what era it'll be.

Paramount+ and Rawson Marshall Thurber are doing an 8-episode D&D show. It'll be produced by Paramount Pictures and eOne, the same pairing producing the D&D movie. Thurber is writing and directing the first episode. There's not yet details on plot, but presumably in the same world as the movie.
