  1. Thought I would create a not just iOS centric thread. Today Splendor on iOS and android has been updated with online multiplayer. Haven't bought a copy either physically or digitally yet, but do hope the digital version has local wifi play like the excellent Ticket to Ride.
  2. Hi All, Sorry for the shameless plug! I've cleared this with the mods Anyway 12 months ago I left my job to start my own games studio. Right now it's mostly just me and my good friends at Sunna Entertainment collaborating on a number of projects. Our first release went out last week on iOS and Android. This game is unique as it's was entirely funded by the charity On the Edge Conservation who are trying to raise awareness of some of the weird and wonderful species out there that are on the EDGE (Evolutionary Distinct Globally Endangered) yet not in the publi
  3. iOS https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1053012308?mt=8 Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercell.clashroyale So I realise that these kind of games are the antithesis of rllmuk but the new game from Boom Beach and Clash of Clans devs (Supercell) came out of soft launch yesterday, called Clash Royale. Yes its fremium and yes I suspect you can buy your way to glory but the basic game seems very open and keeps the irritation of timers and cool downs to a minimum, you can seemingly keep playing as long as you want for free, with a
  4. I hope this is allowed. I've been a games developer for over 30 years. For the past few years I've been stuck in a bit of a rut developing apps rather than games. So at the end of 2019 I decided to code a Commodore 64 game as a hobby project. That game was called Millie and Molly and ended up going down really well in that community. It was released on tape, disk and cartridge as well as digitally and scored 93% in Retro Gamer. The game is a puzzle platformer with 100 levels designed by ex-Psygnosis designer Chun Wah Kong (The Getaway). Recently the app I've spent the last 10 years working
  5. It seems there is not much discussion here about iPhone games so in a similar style to the PS3 owners thread, we find ourselves reading one right now. With the exception of Rolando and Bejeweled 2 the game I've played most on mine is Cube Runner. This is not only free but perfectly suits the 'few minutes spare' situation that presents itself so often. Basically you just tilt the phone to move your ship, get high scores and avoid shit. Simple graphics and gameplay, great game.
  6. Shinsekai (litt.: new earth) is a stunning new metroidvania game from the Capcom team behind the first two Lost Planet games, and was released earlier today on the Nintendo Switch eShop and a few months before that through Apple arcade. The land has been covered with ice, forcing mankind to take refuge in the ocean. Years have passed, but the all-consuming ice moves slowly but steadily on, and civilization has fallen into decay. One lone survivor lives on in solitude. Desolate days lead into aimless nights, and the aquanaut passes the time in rote repetition. But one day

  8. It's been out since 2015 on iOS, looks like it's about to be updated on there. The PC version was pulled years ago. It's now coming back out on PC with widescreen, HD & 64bit support. It's also coming to Switch with a whole new interface. September 24th. www.rollercoastertycoon3.co.uk

  10. The basics of The Snack World TreJarers are to find rare items slumbering deep inside dungeons. The main game cycle is going back and forth between the base and dungeons to proceed through the game. You prepare equipment and items at the base before going to a dungeon. Then at the dungeon, you’ll try to find rare items slumbering deep within. Featured in The Snack World are random dungeons where the layout changes each time the player enters. The type of dungeons vary, including a rocky area, forest, and temple. Scary bosses lie deep inside the dungeons such as the Kraken. Ot
  11. The Black Desert mobile game is out now and is surprisingly fun. It's similar but definitely not the same game as the original. More streamlined but with a lot of similar basics. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pearlabyss.blackdesertm.gl https://apps.apple.com/us/app/black-desert-mobile/id1477186880 I'm playing on the EU Balenos server. Family name Worldwalker.

  13. So there's a news story doing the rounds today that Apple are considering a games subscription service, but details are light to say the least. Is it a true Netflix for games with a large list of available titles? Is it like the humble monthly with a small curated list? Is it their own game streaming service? Will free-to-play titles also be integrated somehow? Is it iOS only or also Mac? They''re all referencing this story as the original source: https://cheddar.com/videos/apple-plans-gaming-subscription-service-sources
  14. I thought I'd start up a thread for this one since I've started playing. I tried it when it first launched in preview but didn't get into it. It's improved a lot since then. Basically it's a cross between Puzzle Quest and Puzzle & Dragons. Standard Puzzle Quest match 3 gameplay but you collect Marvel characters to do the fighting. Each of which has different attacks and skills to level up. Timer based but timers are the health of your characters rather then a single block of energy meaning there are easy ways to maximise gameplay once you get enough characters. I haven't played it much ye

    Her Story

Her Story is out on Wednesday. I remember seeing the trailer for this ages ago, it has a person (Edit: Sam Barlow) from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories involved and it looks genuinely amazing. The reviews so far have been tremendous, here's one: http://www.pcgamer.com/her-story-review/ And here are some twitter people talking about it I'm trying not to read too much about it but it's going to be like £5 pounds on Steam and I cannot wait to play it. http://store.steampowered.com/app/368370/
  16. So this is why they trademarked "HD-2D". It's a new Octopath Traveler for smartphones. Indicated to be a single player RPG, so this might mean no MTX. Not counting on it though. Still, looks like more Octopath, which is good in theory.
  17. Is this...a clicker? As one whom is usually easily addicted to clickers in recent years, I approve! Let's go make some Crrrrazzzy money!
  18. I fancy playing a card game on my iPad. I'm not a huge fan of hearthstone (It's fine but I fell off WoW hard) and I'm quite liking what I've played of Elder Scrolls Legends. What do people recommend? Are there any good Yu-gi-oh games? Anything more obscure I might not have heard of?

  21. It's quite a bit better than the clicker, I'll give it that. Shame that unlike the clicker it has no new music mixes though. Life could do with all the Katamari it can get. I approve.

  23. http://www.ingress.com/ So anyone playing Google's ARG? Got my invite a few days ago and it's rather good fun.Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticproject.ingress iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/ingress/id576505181?mt=8 You secure Portals by planting Resonators at locations and use them to create fields by linking up three of the secured Portals earning you a score for either the Resistance or the Enlightened. That's what you do in short. I've written a bit more about it here.
  24. Is anyone else playing this? It's a surprisingly fun and well made game. Real time battler where you use cards to summon units. Starts off as Cowboys and Indians but eventually opens up into more genres.
