  1. Based on the 2014 documentary of the same name: It feels like I've been hearing about this movie for a very long time. It was shot before COVID, and then had reshoots a year or so ago to replace Armine Hammer with Will Arnett.
  2. Dabbling a little just because it's so much fun and trying to do it as often as possible. Anyone owned their own, or raced one in a series? It's frustrating not really knowing how to improve - drift or no drift for example? Damn shame our nearest venue stopped a monthly adult grand prix which would have been a lot of fun.
  3. Seeing as the fixture lists are out, the 'new' season is officially upon us. And in two weeks, the transfer window opens worldwide and preseason is a kickabout away! Fun times. 4. A new era of V6 F1 deserves a new thread all ready to roll for the pre-season testing, so here it is!
  5. Figured I'd set up a thread as the on in Off Topic is about the politics of the thing and there is more to it than skiiing and snowboarding. BBC has six live streams up today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/winter-olympics/2014 Womens ice hockey highlights earlier - USA beat Finland 3-1. Some lovely skills from both sides, though the US will be hard to beat. Canada vs Switzerland starts at 12.55pm. Also the biathlon, luge and figure skating at 2.25pm. Slopestyle looked fun this morning, but it is coloured by me wanting to punch most of the competitors stupid faces in. Can't wait for the Snowboard Cross though. That is great fun. Finally - great moments in Winter Olympics history. Recreated in Lego. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/winter-olympics/26090575
  6. So, the 2006 F1 season kicks off this weekend in Bahrain. Im really looking forward to this season, we have new teams, new drivers, tyre changes are back, V8 engines, a confusing new qualifying format that I dont think anyone understands, and more ! My predictions for this season are : Qualifying is changed again after Bahrain Michael Schumacher takes the title before retiring at the end of the season, Rossi and Raikkonen confirmed at Ferrari for '07 McLaren take the Constructors championship, and choose another new driver to partner Alonso in '07 Renault have a solid season before pulling out of F1 at the end of the year Honda Racing do well, with Barrichello out-performing Button Williams-Cosworth prove to be the suprise of the season and are very competitive Super-Aguri are as laughable as everyone predicted BMW-Sauber are average, Villeneuve proves rubbish once again before retiring Toyota have another 'average' season Midland F1 fail to impress, and run around near the back with Toro Rosso I remember how wrong I was with my 2005 predictions, and im expecting the same this season Im off to the Canadian GP again, but thats it for me this year. Any thoughts ?

  8. LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB THREAD FOR 2012-2013 SEASON A new season, new manager, new hope! With Dalglish relieved of his duties, the owners have decided to offer former Swans manager Brendan Rogers a chance to make his mark on the historic club. Regardless of having to be a fair bit more prudent than previous seasons, there's still enough to be excited for the new season. We're in Europ...a again at least. Thread rules in addition to normal forum rules (still to be decided/amended accordingly to people's wishes): Thread will be updated later, just making sure it's not a completely terrible OP. Oo-er!
  9. So a new thread for a new season then.... enjoy
  10. I hope no-one minds me taking the liberty of starting this up but after our longest ever period outside the top two divisions I can't get enough of the word 'Championship' at the moment Plus the fixtures are out so it seems a good time. Here's how the 18th of August looks: Barnsley v Middlesbrough Birmingham City v Charlton Athletic Burnley v Bolton Wanderers Cardiff City v Huddersfield Town (now playing at 1945 on the 17th) Crystal Palace v Watford Derby County v Sheffield Wednesday Hull City v Brighton & Hove Albion Ipswich Town v Blackburn Rovers Leeds United v Wolverhampton Wanderers Leicester City v Peterborough United Millwall v Blackpool Nottingham Forest v Bristol City So we're the inaugral league opponents of the Cardiff Red Sox (sorry Ork!), would've been nice not to have had one of the relatively few long distance trips for the first game back, dunno if I'll be able to make that myself but that's the way it goes. Looks a very strong division this year with maybe only Peterborough who you might say are punching above their weight? Bit early as far as transfers and stuff go but I'd be interested to hear how everybody's seeing it. Handy supporters reference list which I'll try to keep updated (please let me know if I've missed you): CJ - Millwall Dan_tm - Sheffield Wednesday DeadRussian - Nottingham Forest Dr_manhattan^ - Wolverhampton Wanderers Elmo - Millwall Elseb - Birmingham City Hellsbells - Sheffield Wednesday Hereticboy - Hull City Keenor - Cardiff City Kensei - Leeds United Kyletherobot - Barnsley LoGoWolf - Wolverhampton Wanderers McMond - Sheffield Wednesday Merman - Ipswich Town Milko - Leeds United Mirodo - Sheffield Wednesday Monobrow - Nottingham Forest Moosden25 - Huddersfield Town OneDaveBamber - Blackpool Ork1927 - Cardiff City Pants McSkill - Millwall Plissken - Burnley Razzle - Leicester Rev - Sheffield Wednesday Rsdio - Huddersfield Town Sirloin - Leicester City Smithstock - Middlesbrough SomethingWitty - Ipswich Town Steely - Middlesbrough Timmo - Derby County Waddie - Sheffield Wednesday Thanks to Pants for kicking it off!
  11. Well here it is - LFC v3.0! So Rafa isn't going to Madrid anytime soon thank God. ... The old (v2) Liverpool thread that was irreversibly merged with a Manc one.
  12. I figured a "some more have gone on sale" might be a useful thread. (Some went on sale a bit earlier, still a few left but not many). I'll move my question from the main thread to here - Can anyone explain the ticketing for the paralympics? If I buy a ticket for the individual sports, that includes a day pass, am I likely to get into any of the other ones on that day if the individual tickets and the individual day passes have (at least currently) sold out?
  13. [Disclaimer: I work for Deloitte, but this has nothing to do with what I do there ...] You may remember I ran a predictions competition for a World Cup a while ago, or a Euro championship, or something like that. Doing the same for the Olympics was a bit too complicated. Luckily someone else has done it for us. Go to http://www.deloittegames.com and sign up, choose your teams and sports, then enter the rllmuk league using PIN 382015. Bet I come last now.

    Olympic Hockey

So, hockey then. Cracking performance by the GB Women earlier - a very, very comfortable 4-0 against Japan. As long as the couple of injuries we picked up aren't serious (and I don't think they will be) that's fairly ideal. I'm going on Friday, which'll be nice.
  15. It's obviously escaped the notice of the powers that be, but we, England, are about to host THE OLYMPIC GAMES! Everyone everywhere is celebrating this wonderful event. Everyone everywhere it seems but rllmuk. It literally turns my stomach every time I log in here not to be greeted with some sort of Olympic ringed theme. Anyway, if there's anything I'm known for here it's my lack of photoshopping etc ability, so I'm unable to do the job myself. but it would be wonderful if someone could do an Olympic rllmuk logo, and then get it added to the masthead. Then we could all bathe in a warm and sticky Olympic glow no matter what thread we read. What say you, mates?
  16. There's just over a week to go now before Euro 2012 kicks off in Poland and Ukraine and so I thought I'd make a thread in which we can all get excited about the build-up to the tournament and then the tournament itself. A nice Fixtures and Standings page on the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk...groups-schedule Don't forget the Guardian Football Weekly Euro 2012 preview show is out and available below; http://www.guardian....podcast-preview

    Terror search

It's amazing how much confusion you can sow in your very own office by not using Google. Simply using phrases such as: "I don't know the answer. Let me Bing that for you" Or "I tried Lycos-ing myself and came up empty" Or even "I just can't seem to nail the right input interpretatation when I Wolfram Lady Gaga" ... will make your colleagues stare at you as if you're some sort of alchemist. What happens to you when you don't Google? (Other than not getting any meaningful results of course).
