Fucking hell, it's ruddy gorgeous! :)

It looks stunning, and the music is ace (though it loops and gets bit repetitive- but that could be because it's an 8MB demo). It's fun to play too, though when you build your character up a bit he moves a bit slowly when you tip the screen. The controls with the shoulder buttons are getting easier the more I play it, and I can imagine getting 100% on each level will become an addiction!

Anyway, it's a joy to play.

Are you playing it on the latest firmware Paulando?

But homebrew etc can kiss my arse if I'd be missing out on great stuff like this, Katamari, Outrun 2, Exit, Syphon Filter, Daxter and a few more besides :P

Again, four out of those five games run on 1.5 systems with the right loader.

But even I will have to upgrade once Lumines 2 rolls around, if nobody gets it running in due time, I'm afraid.

Aye, but once fastloader stopped working for everything I gave up with loaders- just too many settings to mess around with, too many loaders available, and I like being able to put my games into standby mode.

The emulation isn't all that great anyway, so in hindsight I'm not missing out on much by upgrading.

Yes, PSP emulation is absolute tosh.

Indeed, the whole PSP homebrew scene is just a fucking mess, with constant sniping and back-biting, and nothing actually getting done. It's like one of those football games you see in junior school playgrounds, where there's fifty people on each side, and everyone is chasing the ball because they all want to score a goal.

Compare it to the marvellous Xbox scene when the machine first got busted open, or the latter days of the DC scene, and it's even more embarassing.

I was so close to finally collecting everything in the level yesterday. I found that last Roco flower I'd been missing (it's placement made me smile), then managed to let myself get picked up by one of those nasty black things. Bye bye Roco 20. ;)

That is pretty annoying how you can completely lose one of the Rocos by getting hit by one of those black spike things- I can see that becoming a real pain later on in the game when the levels get more difficult.

I've played through the demo about 3 or 4 times now though- and each time I've found something new. I've managed to finish with 18 flowers, all 3 of those little guys and 420-odd of those other things. It's fantastic! Can't wait for the release.

I played the demo and did not get on with it at all.

The gfx are certainly slick, but the music is audio hell.

I found the controls and gameplay highly annoying.

You can call me "DEAD INSIDE" now if that makes you feel better.

The controls are difficult at first, but they become much easier the more you play it.

Though one part in particular on the demo, a secret part, had a load of bouncy circle things dotted about. It was a pain to get to the top of these.

Spot on. This is the reason I took the plunge and upgraded to 2.7. The PSP Updates forums are embarassing now.

Does anyone else experience PSP lock-up after playing Loco Roco? It's a great little game, but that really annoys me.

And the music's great :D

The pinball bit, yeah. I found it was much easier the second run through.

Oh man, the bit where you wake up the moon is great. And having 19 (I'm still missing one) of the little rocos singing is probably the best thing I've ever seen on the PSP.

I hope the actual game has a different song for each level.

In search of #19

I had 19 for ages, until I figured out there was on the head of the green, long legged guy

If that's not it I'm sure I can help you figure out where the missing one is.

Why does it not assign a different button to jump? It's awkward the way it is, with L and R tilting as well as jumping. Doesn't make sense to do it that way.

I'd agree if you had to let go of the shoulder buttons and press them both at the same moment to jump. As you don't, I think an extra button would only complicate matters for no benefit.

It's very rare that I find myself wanting to jump when not tilting.
