Casino Bonus Bagging

As Poet says.

No offence dude, but I have to admit being slightly concerned that someone with such apparent lack of knowledge as to how odds work is partaking in things like this. Be very careful where you spend your money!

These things are only worth doing if the bonuses effectively stack the odds in your favour. Ignoring the bonus, you cannot play 5,000 hands of blackjack and realistically expect to be up at the end of it. I was just lucky - and for every 100 people who get lucky, there will be 101 who get unlucky.

I don't quite see what you're contesting here.

At £1 a hand on the skybet high roller bonus your expected loss from £5000 worth of hands is £25. Add your bonus and wager that. A loss of £1.25 (so let's say £2 because it doesn't work like that).

Expected Profit: £223

Are these hypothetical 201 people you refer to sticking to the system? Because 101 people aren't going to lose money that way.

T'was blackjack. It's not that great a bonus, but I was playing £20 hands and sweeping, hit the table limit of £350 and then won something like 11 hands in a row.

Careful with those bonuses though, they are non withdrawable.

?

In the interest of fair gaming, we ask that you wager a minimum of fifteen (15) times your play bonus plus deposit (15 x (bonus + deposit) before requesting a withdrawal.

Also, is there any auto-play on the blackjack?

If you check the t&c page, it states they are non-withdrawable, so they will subtract the £100 bonus when you make a withdrawal. Basically, you make a big bet as the first hand (ie, your whole balance). If you lose, you lose. If you win, you then ride out the rest of the wagering and hopefully withdraw around £500 for a £300 profit.

It used to be that this type of offer had a much lower wager requirement, and the bonuses were much more generous, 200% and more, but they're fading fast ;)

Um, i've been following this thread recently and decided to 'take the plunge' on this today. However, i'm finding the Paddy Power site pretty confusing and would appreciate any advice...

Basically, i've deposited £50 (though i think I did this on PaddyPower but have now successfully transferred this over to PaddyPowerCasino), but now can't seem to find where I can play Blackjack and claim my 50 free chips... It's going on about some 3-hand version, and all gets a bit 'shit, i don't know what i'm doing' from that point.

Basically, have I fucked up in some way? It seems pretty tough to just get to the standard blackjack game with £100 appearing in the bank...

Click "real play" in the orange band, then the "table games" tab, then you'll see "multi hand blackjack". Good luck, and check that BJ isn't excluded, because it certainly is from their monthly.

Ok, got there - cheers for that. So I basically only earn the bonus ONCE i've bet to the value of £500? Presumably I can then move all money back to my card?

Hmmm, just finished my first £500 worth of wagers and the Paddy Power site is only saying i've reached £180 or so... Does it take a while to update or something or should i give them a ring? Wouldn't be best pleased if i've just spent the last couple of hours hammering away at the mouse button for nothing...

EDIT - hmmm, i'm hoping it might be because yesterday turned into today mid-session. It is a 'daily' summary after all. More investigation needed methinks.

Takes 48 hrs to credit a pp account.

Also on other matters, i don't think that BJ is excluded from monthlies. Thats what i've used the last two months.

I mailed them last night and they basically instantly credited £50 which was nice of them. Balance now rests at £107. Not bad for a first attempt

Still, I'm not entirely sure how getting money back out works and what i'll be forced to do with the free £50 worth of chips. Will they require a repeat £500 wager, or could I just wager £50 and have access to them?

This has all been covered TWICE on the previous page of this thread. Try reading that, and reading the terms and conditions.

I know how odds work, I just don't know the gamblers' lingo. You said in your original post that risk of ruin was very low. Well, I should hope so. I certainly didn't want to lose £500, or even a sizeable chunk of it. Which is why I played that bonus very conservatively, to minimise the variance.

Also, when I said "finishing down rather than up", I meant including the bonus. I know that no matter how many hands I play, I have a pretty much equal chance of making or losing money outwith the bonus.

True I guess, but i've just done something entirely different. I've just transfered the full total back to my card without even touching the bonus. I'm assuming they would have stopped me if I couldn't do that.

No, but you may find them excluding you from future bonuses. It doesn't pay to kill a goose-laying golden egg! Or something!

Shit! The current ferocity of dollar-sign-rotation across my eyes has clearly left the goose's life comprimised. Oh well, there's plenty of others to try I suppose. Bet365 here we come!

Cheers for the advice everyone by the way - sorry for the questions/repeated questions. It's all a bit nerve wracking to begin with.

I was a bit wary of doing Blue Square last night seeing as their parent company owns Hard Rock Casino too which I'd already bagged. Still, £67.50 profit later they don't seem to be complaining.

Can't wait to do the Sky Vegas one.

Does that Blue Square £250 sign up bonus work just like the Skybet one (except of course the 20x deposit requirement)?

The T's & C's on these different sites can be very confusing!

It would seem that way, but I wimped out and just plumped for the £50 one.
