November Cd Mix Club

I got 2 cd's today, labelled 1979 - 1990 and 1991 - 2005. I think they were from bph. They misleadingly had Christmas 2005 written on them, luckily there is no Christmas nonsense (as yet) rather a hip hop history. I'm quite far through cd1 so can I have the tracklist for that first please? :)

Thanks. I'm nearing the end of cd2 now so you might as well put up the rest of the tracks, please. I'm enjoying this cd more than the first one. I'll give some proper feedback after another listen. Cheers

No more feedback yet?  Bah :D

HARD TO BEAT (Axwell Mix)        Hard Fi

Great track to kick things off, superb tribal-like beat which makes me want to play this tune nice and loud. The music is also quite dubby, just right for a dance on the dancefloor :D

Everybody (Mixture)              Martin Solveig

Jealousy (Feat. Lee Fields)      Martin Solveig

These next two tracks are ok, they just don't have that killer kick. That track one has, with it's superb beat etc.. I prefer track 3 though, I prefer the guitar sound in this track.

magic beat

But it gets better as this little edit, flows nicely into a nice latin sounding track...

Love Generation Club Mix         Bob Sinclar Ft Gary Pine

This is excellent as well, with it's latin feel, great vocals from Mr Pine and whistling. And it mixes nicely into...

Piano track (original club mix)  Bush II Bush

a nice house instrumental, which I definitely like as well as the next killer track....

Your body (Club mix)             Tom Novy

with gets thing a little hotter, there's more people on the dancefloor now and I'm one of them. A great track, and another one you'll want to hear loud. Just like the next track......

Fasten Your Seatbelt             Pendulum vs The Freestylers

...which must be great on the dancefloor. The sound is starting to get a bit more hardcore ......BOOM! Nice!

Jungle Bells (Dunproofin Mix)    Prodigyremixed.com

"I am a jungle brother!" ..."True Blue!", this is excellent and flows perfectly into......

Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)   Prodigy :D

...a great heavy metal sounding mix of Voodoo People, which I'm sure my brother has played to me in his car. Anyway the next track is just as mad...

Slam                             Pendulum

..and really fast. Totally bonkers track, but a great way to end before this lovely the cooling off track that is......

Close Your Eyes (Idiotech remix) chemicalbrothersremixed.com

..which builds nicely to the end, with some lovely vocals. I agree with acidbearboy, it's great track and ends the mix with my favourite track :D

Cheers magic lord, a great mix with loads of tunes I never heard before. Except the Pendulum Remix of course, I'll have to play this mix to my brother. He'll love Pendulum's Slam track.

I do love the first track, such a great beat.

I give this CD a 9.8/10, thanks! :D

I finished putting mine together this morning, the cover has been printed and all that so all I need to do is post it tomorrow morning. I'm very happy with it, all different kinds of music spanning 40 years. Some classics in there, and some new tracks I've been introduced to in the last couple of months.

Again, I haven't included a tracklist as I think it's better to listen to them blind and with no preconceptions

Got something yesterday and I'm fairly confused... It is labelled 'Part 1', but there is only one disc.. Is there another somewhere?! It is one continuous track, a mix of ambient-ish sounds, most of which (especially the first 12 minutes) sound like they must be from Secret of Mana... Is it all music from Square games? Or all from SoM? It sounds like it's been remixed, are these taken from OCRemix or has the person who sent it done this all themselves? Can I have some answers please because I'm very curious.

P.S. It's rather bloody good too!

Received my CD today, I don't know who it's from and I had no idea what kind of music it would be either, fearing some sort of hardcore mix.

Track 1 – I was dead chuffed when I heard this start, what a lovely song. And I was pleased to hear it was ska.

Track 2 – I like it! More ska, it's all good news so far.

Track 3 – Nice. Yep, this is going well.

Track 4 – Faster stuff! I thought this track had a bit of a latin twinge to it. I still like it.

Track 5 – Is that REM? Either way, I'm still liking it.

Track 6 – Uh oh, shouty young rockers. I never really got into anything remotely punk.

Track 7 – This one's a better song, there's a tune!

Track 8 – Deary me, no. I can almost smell the mosh pit.

Track 9 – Gnnh.

Track 10 – I thought this was going to be another difficult track to listen to, but it's quite catchy. I'll add this to my library.

Track 11 – This is the DEVIL's music!

Track 12 – I like this one, it's reminiscent of the B52s. SCRATCH THAT! The first minute is alright, then it's super-speed-rock for a minute, not nice. (hang on!) Then it's latin-trumpet led easy rockers until the end, nice.

Track 13 – (lucky 13, be nice) Yay! This one's alright, with a great guitar riff as a hook. I could happily listen to this again.

Track 14 – I like this, it's well put together. Reminds me of the days when I used to listen to Fluke, et al.

Track 15 – If I walked into a bar or club and this was playing, I'd walk out. Unless I was intentionally going to a gay bar.

Track 16 – This is alright. It sounds like someone, but I can't figure out who.

Well, parts of that were difficult, but it was an interesting journey. There are definitely tracks in there which I like, particularly the ska stuff at the start (which Will danced to, you could see the music grab him ;)).
