Orooth, yours went in t'post this morning and is cleverly themed in such a way as to succeed brilliantly or fail miserably with no fannying around inbetween.

I don't think my CD has arrived yet - must double check pigeonhole - but I can hardly complain, considering.

It should have arrived by now. I sent it first class on Saturday afternoon.

IFJ, got your cd and listening to it now.

Hi acidbearboy, here's my feedback for your CD:

1. Innerzone Orchestra - Manufactured Memories

Got this CD, so I love this track as it's perfect for the opening track. With it great atmosphere, and brilliant Carl Craig beats

2. Rez OST - Creation the State of Art [full option]

I'm not to keen on this though, it's a bit disjointed and not as sexy as a Carl Craig song

3. Jan Jelinek - Sessie Vuile Toon (3voor12)

This of course I know already, and it's great. Even when it 24 minutes long, it keeps you listening until the nice ending

4. Plastikman - Kink

Well I love Plastikman (met him twice now), so I love this. Although I'm not sure what release this is from? B)

5. The Orb - Blue Room (7" edit)

I wonder where you got this from :(

6. Madvillain feat. Quas - America's Most Blunted (acid edit)

So this is what Madvillain sounds like, not bad at all actually. Nice beat, good rap, but not very acid. Good track none-the-less

7. Eels - Susan's House

Never heard any Eels either, not bad. But I can't see myself wanting to listen to this anytime soon. I perfer the song, without the silly 'Susan's House' bits. All the other bits are ace

8. David Holmes - Don't Die Just Yet (don't chant just yet) played at +8

I like Mr Holmes, so like this. Even at +8, a nice flowing track. And a nice ending

9. The Theme of PSO Episode III - Let the Winds Blow (choir version)

Nice enough, I prefer the quieter sections of the song

10. The Killers - Mr.Brightside

Ok, a bit too rock for me, so thats a no thanks then

11. Mojave 3 - Bluebird of Happiness (ulrich schnauss remix)

LUSH!

So overall not a bad CD at all, just a few meh moments. Cheers!

Mr Do

I think the Plastikman track is from a new compilation he's released. A retrospective thing. Maybe?

Blue Room may well be from your cd (thanks again for sending me that over) I've known the track for ages though and do have the 7" version on my Dance 92 compilation!

acid doesn't just do electronic goodness you know. Anything funky goes in the house of the bear. The Madvillain album is full of it. Check out some MF Doom stuff if you enjoyed it.

I had to pitch David Holmes up as it seemed way to slow at the standard rpm. The Arab Strap remix is also ace, although it's more of a new song than a remix.

Glad you liked most of it. Which you should as it's BETTER THAN YOURS!!! ;)

:)

Sorry... That's me... It is coming very soon, I burnt it a week ago but the CD didn't work properly... Will try and send out soon. I hate to tell you this, it is inspired by winter / christmas, but it isn't obvious christmas stuff, but nice laidback snow-y vibes that is as much inspired by my recent reykjavik trip as Christmas.

EDIT: Now, now acidbearboy... You could just like it... Possibly.

Cool, no worries. Sounds interesting. I hope it does sound interesting ;)

And I'm not affected by Christmas music at all. I don't hear it, like the reverse of high-pitch dog hearing or something :)

Dude, what?

:)

Rough translation:

"There were way too many tracks that sounded like William S. Burroughs spouting on about Heroin. No, no, no, no, no, no, I don't like that one bit."

That's only a guess, though. Most of Olly's posts are like cryptic crossword clues.

Was there anything from 'Spare Ass Annie', Rowan? The one with Disposable Heroes doing the backing tracks? A great album that.

Olly, I don't know which tracks are on that CD but if 'The Man Who Taught His Asshole To Talk' is on there and you don't appreciate it, you're even deader inside than I figured already.

And you're rubbish at Wipeout.

Nah, I've only got an old copy of that on tape. There were several pieces from Dead City Radio, which is one of my favourites, a few music tracks, and an assortment of spoken word / experimental stuff. In Olly's defence some of it is fairly hardcore Burroughs, the Last Words of Hassan Sabbah spiel which may lack appeal if you're not pretty familiar with his work...

Sadly not, though I think there were some funny routines... but I'd put up with anything where WSB is concerned.

Yeah, that is pretty heavy! I swear I uploaded a few tracks from 'Spare Ass Annie' somewhere, but I'm damned if I can find them. I tried to find a text version of 'Warning To Young Couples' instead, but failed miserably and work is (typically) getting in the way.

Still, you have to take a broooad general view of these things.

I must admit, I'm not that familiar with his written stuff. I find it's not quite the same without his intonation ('Like a crab's eye on the end of a stalk'). So perfect.

I really should endevour to pick some more up besides 'Spare Ass Annie'. I'd be dangerous if I wasn't lazy. And poor.
