I'm having the same problem as Kaisu. There's loads of games available with a decent ping but when I try join any it just comes up with "challenge rejected, press A to search again" Yet to actually connect so far. Not had any problems with any other Live games to put it in perspective...

edit:

Managed to get two games going now. The first one was against a guy with a 2/4 connection and although it felt a little big laggy, it was very playable. Next game was against someone with a 3/4 connection and that was pretty much perfect :]

My experience with Street fighter 2 online in the last 30 mins

opponent found !

starting match in 5 seconds

I've managed to play one match out of about 20 quick matches

Could well be a problem with my connection of course.

I cant get it to play online. Every game i try to play just times out.

Maybe this game is like Perfect Dark Zero, and for best results requires people with NAT routers to open them up. (So that 'System -> Network Settings -> Test Xbox Live Connection' reports "NAT Open" at the end). You may want to try that.

Still only able to connect to perhaps one in every ten games, however, the netcode is superb. Shame I'm complete shit at it, but nevermind.

Sega Ages: Just tested my connection and it says NAT is open however I'm having the same problems. I just wonder if it's simply a case of so many people currently playing that as soon as a session opens, someone joins it?

Ok I'm gonna sound a total noob here but I can't do any of the special moves where you have to charge one of the directions. For example Chun Li's spinning kick thing says down, charge up and kick but I can't time it right at all. Likewise any moves which have a charge in any direction, I don't have a clue how long you have to charge it for before you press the button. Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

Man, this thing is hard. I'm not imagining it am I? They boosted the difficulty up big time?

Or am I just getting old...

The people on the gamefaqs board seem to be saying that the difficulty has definetely been increased. Granted I never really played the game to any great degree before but I can't even get past the first round on three stars :D

no you're getting the same game as the MD but arcade perfect (unless you had super). DP will always be f,d,f,p.

Excellent :D

Wor lass used to play SF2 back in her younger days, and reckoned she was pretty good. I can't wait to give her a good old fashioned hiding tonight.

I've been having a hell of a time trying to get a game on live, timing out left, right and centre. Don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I've only been able to connect with people with a red or yellow (i.e. bad) ping, and the game has been very jerky. Kind of like playing RR6 with a Windows Media Connection. Some games were almost unplayable (but some were only slightly iffy).

As for the pad, for my first few games I thought it was surprisingly OK, but now I hate it. The analogue stick is easier for movement, dragon punches and fireballs, but the d-pad is better for charging moves, especially up/down ones.

It's just tricky doing diagonal jumps using the d-pad, and the analogue stick has too much movement, so it takes a relative age to do a dragon punch movement.
