Hey guys, there has been talk druids of respecing particularly in my guild and since I just finished my CT Profile I thought I'd post it here to see if I could get any opinions on it. I think it's quite a good spec :D

http://ctprofiles.net/4479630

The main profile is generally what I wear to raids as I like having the extra intellect and the loss in +healing isn't so big. I only wear my full healing gear if there is a shortage of healers and bigger heals are needed. PvP gear is what I wear if I need to tank or if I'm needed in feral form in PvP. The FR gear is obvious.

I thought I'd add some info about the healing and damage possible with this setup.

Currently Healing Touch is hitting an average of 3200 on a normal heal and critting for an average of 4700. (Though my best crit so far is 5073  This is using my full healing gear though. Normally I wear the gear in my main profile as it provides a good balance of healing and general spell power and intellect).

Regrowth hits for 1200-1500 normally and crits for 1900+

Starfire hits for 500-600 normally and crits for 1000-1500

Wrath hits for 300-400 normally and crits for around 700

Moonfire hits for 250-350 normally and crits for 500-600

So yes, opinions plx :(

Stuff like that makes you stronger.

We've (Ad Noctum) come through it numerous times, Drama is our food.

And we've ended up stronger for it.

We are currently on our 4th version of the Guild.

We started out in may last year as Ooorsom or something

Then in July Abandoned was formed

One day after our first Ragnaros kill 12 memebers split off to form Serenity

The result was that Ad Noctum was formed and the Raid group turned into a Raid Guild.

We are now the no1 Horde guild on the server and Serenity have just folded (Big fat LOLZ)

Then you ninja'd all the green dragons! I know cos wierdos on the ER forums told me so!

And then Ad Noctum pulled my trousers down!

And then I had to point out where Ad Noctum touched me on a doll to the police!

And then you made baby jesus cry!

YOU MADE HIM CRY!

We got our first Raggy kill today!!! Joint run with another guild, but was great to see him drop after wiping on Domo last time. Topped that off with an Ony kill afterwards and we a happy bunch! Death or Glory and The Zoo and a couple Ivory Heart members to fill up spots, hehe. Hopefully the start of a farming run and gear us all up!

I shall concede that Gramme and the now notorious US guild Overrated most definitely have a point about a certain bug filled area. No trash should ever be harder than the easiest boss in an instance yet hello quad Mindslayer packs. Absolute nightmares, the lot of them (I don't know why everyone rags on the Nullifier packs though, they're pish)

Ah well. In happier news, Lashlayer can go fuck himself, the tight fisted bastard. Vek'lor and his charming brother left me a wonderful pair of Boots of the Epiphany.

After an extremely late night session on Thursday till 3 in the morning, I now have my 7 character with a level 40 mount. 1 more character to go and I'll have all classes on alliance side with one. :P

Also, that buff from Loatheb is just fantastic. It's something quite special to see a constant string of 2.5k crits.

Got our very first Loatheb kill after going all out on buffs. DM buff, ZG buff, the Ony/Nef buff and the Tower in epl buff.

The last one was hilarious to get as an unlucky horde shaman just happened to capture the tower just as our entire 40 man raid force was heading there. Well I found it funny :P

3k crits with my rank 6 shadowbolt. B)

Congrats on the kill - I loved it when he went down for us; I really don't enjoy the fight much so it's always a huge relief not to fuck it up. Nice loot? I hope you didn't get the trinket!

Just one thing though - does the EPL tower buff work INSIDE Naxx? I've always been told that it doesn't, so we've never bothered with it.

I'm not sure actually. It takes all of 2 minutes anyway to get so didn't matter much.

2 other warlocks and me now loathe DM though. Spent 2 hours in there summoning people to get buffs and shit, some people taking 2 minutes to get the buff while others taking a whole 10 minutes. :(

Loots were 2x Druid leggings and the caster staff which I forget the name of. 3 wings cleared and Gothik/4H to go. :P

I shudder to think about the pain of all that summoning... evil. And it's amazing how long it can take people to complete the simplest task like picking up a buff. It's the same for us when we go to the Darkmoon Faire.

I guess you mean the Brimstone Staff? It's very nice. We had our first last week; sadly it caused some drama because the master-looter was sleeping on the job.

Yes it does work inside. Also we are now up to KT stage 2 having killed Sapphiron :(

I'm pretty sure the EPL tower buff (+% to dmg) only works in Scholo and Strat instances. I went in Nax on one of the rare occurences the Horde had the buff, and it immediately vanished upon zoning in.

Maybe the +Stamina buff from the northern-most tower works, I've not tried that one yet.

My guild started MC on friday, a few people had been before, and they knew the tactics. We got up to Garr on friday night, and called it a night there. Saturday we cleared everything up to Majordomo and Raggy. Tonight we finished off, and after getting raggy to 4% on our first try, we got him the second time. No wipes up until that one, I'm really pleased with how we've done :(

One of the raid leaders says that everybody listens and works together, in his last guild, they spent a month wiping at raggy. I just though I'd post screenies, or as we all know, It didn't happen.

EDIT : Forgot to add, we got the bindings of the windseeker from Garr, and Raggy dropped the eye of sulfaras. W00T!

We can fight about Mortal Strike being great now if you like.

MS build is better for Pvp without a doubt. It's also far far easier to achieve good DPS with a big meaty 2h weapon, however I'm specced for PVE dps output and tanking, and have the gear to pull off a viable duel weild build. The DPS bonus i get over a long fight from flurry is huge and that's what it's all about.

Bloodthirst is simply an aggro sink for me to help maintain high DPS and it's useful as a burst DPS tallent in PVP. Yeah, i can get ZOMG crits with MS, but i'd prefer to have 5 hits in the same time period that do 1/3 more damage, it's just the way i roll.

By a few do you mean most? As in everyone but a handful? Because if you were all but a few MC virgins that sounds beyond amazing to me...

Loatheb terrifies me. When we stand on that bridge I'm usually a quivering wreck, for the Real Attempt.

I'm convinced I will;

a) Forget to use a pot/bandage/healthstone at the right time.

B) Lagspike/disconnect

c) Manage to somehow miss my heal and be responsible for 40 peoples' repairs and the loss of world buffs.

Thankfully, my fear seems to mean I don't screw up! But I wasn't too impressed with my connection last night  £35/month for 10MB Broadband, a Core 2 Duo 2.40Ghz system with 2GB RAM and a Radeon X1900XT and my setup still, for some reason, cannot handle Maexxna?

NTL should be shot.

Somehow I managed to miss this post at the time, and thus failed to congratulate you on those nice new boots. Were they the ones I enchanted for you last night? I was having about 4 conversations about enchanting all at once, and thus randomly applying random enchants to random loot.

I actually quite enjoyed those packs after the Twins (I think I was the only one) - it was the rest of the place I didn't like. I was still frost-specced back then (*wistful sigh*) and the extra survivability I had made the trash much less painful. I pwned that night.

Did you leave before Gothik?

It was quite fun, actually, even if I couldn't get the caster DPS to coordinate fire in a given direction. I'd like to think we'll make some serious progress tonight with Ish and Moof back in the raid.

I left after Maexxna - the first attempt. 1% wipe and I knew that, were there someone else in the raid instead of me, she would've gone down, so felt guilty for wasting a spot :(

Looking forward to Gothik though. Seems to just be a battle of co-ordination, not so much a case of "one disconnect and we all die horribly", which is always refreshing. The druid POV vids I've seen make our role look a bit EZmode though :( Just heal! healheal! I swear we have it easiest

I see your mistake there - you're using a 'common people' ISP - bad idea...

Goto a PROPER ISP - like Zen or someone like that - they take your money and provide SERVICE

Yes, G, it was those boots. It's actually a year since I last got a pair of boots so I was rather chuffed when someone passed for me and I got to finally ditch those poxy Felheart ones.

I'm surprised to hear you didn't mind those Champion & Slayer/Mindslayer packs, they suck all the fun out of the place for me (and everyone else if the forum is to be believed, combined with the expansion effect, enthusiasm is taking a wee hit). Skeram to the Twin Emperors is comfortably done in one night and I enjoy it all (even Huhuran!) but we then end up spending just as much time on those packs if we're unlucky and get several 3-4 Mindslayer ones. It's just them, any other combination is fine and the pre-Emperor Anubisaths and post-Emperor Nullifiers don't pose any problems but all the frickin' Mindslayers...

How many bosses is it for you now, do you think you'll get Kel'Thuzad before the expansion?

Well, I missed Gothik last night, but the reports sound promising. With the place cleared up to him, we have tonight to really get some good time in and who knows, maybe even get him down.

Four Horsemen, Sapphiron and then the Big Guy himself... :)

We've done 11 bosses now, and had a couple of hours wiping on Gothik last night. It went quite well, despite our raid leader and MT both missing the raid. We should make some proper progress tonight, I think.

I really have no idea about KT. Obviously the Four Horsemen are going to be a massive cockblock, and we're down a tank at the minute since Gornak isn't raiding until Christmas, so that could hold us up a bit. But everything else is in place, I think. We've solved our healer problem (temporarily, at least) by picking up 3 dr00ds and a resto shaman from off-server, the DPS is well-geared, morale is pretty high, and all of the bosses we've killed so far in Naxx go down with little difficulty so we have the time to try new stuff each week.

<rant>

I realise I only arrived yesterday but...

Why the ass do we need 9 raiding druids? We never really had a druid problem unless a string of coincidences (2 of us not well, 1 stuck at work one night once..) meant we were short :) We recruited another 2 ok, can cover the times we need more healers but yet ANOTHER 2? We have four druids on trial now!

I guess they came as a joint package with the shaman but basically now we have 5 regular attendance druids + 4 on trial. From a selfish POV ofc I want to raid - that's why I joined, but it won't be the end of the world if I miss a night here or there, but I'm worried about the new guys - four of them all fighting for raidspots which don't always necessarily exist, if we're giving prio to the Wipe Addicts?

Gluth has fallen before us.

After numerous mis-tries this evening with 90% wipes and 26% wipes we headed back at about half 10 normal time to finally kill that over sized core hound.

Everyone charges in and straight away there's some joyous fun as a apladin pulls aggro and dies. It's not a problem, we continue onwards, stabbing, doting and pew pewing away. First decimate goes wonderfully smooth. Some healers die because of excessive debuffs but it's nothing managable.

2nd Decimate. Roughly 38% left on him and it goes bad. Gluth moves out of position and rogues are flying all over the place as fear pushes them around He's still being tanked though so casters and hunters are still firing away just a touch further back. He's gradually pulled back into position but it's getting close to 3rd decimate and a lot people aren't there anymore.

14% left with only 35-40 seconds to get rid of it all. It slowly goes down and the tension is unbearable as people re yelling on vent "Come on, nuke!". 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, DECIMATE! Everyone alive is thrown back to 5% health and the zombies are coming closer to top uo gluth's health again. People are nuking for all their worth and it's a race against the zombies. 1% and kill just seconds before a zombie is chomped on by Gluth.

Fantastic.
