Thing is its hardly every forum in the world, just this one, and then its hardly stuff thats been kept in the dark.

In the end its upto Ish and the officers, they make the decisions after all. Its not my place to ask for the reasons I've been kicked, though I can hardly do that other than in game, as I've been banned it seems from Chimaera's forum too.

If Ish didnt want that he wouldnt have joined the forum just to make that post about Khaz would he? it could have been simply done in game via whispers.

You shouldn't have to ask.

As GM of The Tide I had to kick a few people and I hated it everytime. But it was *never* done without fully explaining the reasons behind the decision. Whether the individual agreed was a different matter. But they were always told clearly (as well as being given warnings for prior misocnduct that could lead to kicks).

I've not had any warnings, and I was kicked while I was offline. Also, I cant login to Chimaera's forum, so I'm assuming I've been banned from there completely.

We see only one side. One of Chimaera's huge benefits to me was the lack of drama, the fact that something like this is dealt with more personally helps to keep that the case... the fact that not everyone needs to know everything creates a generally less stressful atmosphere. Dissecting all this as it happens moment by moment only creates more aggro, Khaz hasn't heard anything yet about it well let's see, shall we?

Since Ish was clearly awake at 5am, one could suspect that he has been asleep for a fair few hours.

I imagine that Khaz will be hearing more but it's him and Chimaera this involves, not everything is a conspiracy, sometimes people actually get up away from their computers And to quote again Piro, Ish said there are a number of other issues, not that I know what they are ofc, but clearly things that the rllmuk community doesn't necessarily know about?

You're right, of course, but it does raise the question of whether the post and kick needed to be made at 5am, or whether it could have been dealt with while both were online. But as I don't know Ish or his current playing/forum browsing times I don't know if that would have been possible.

I've been staring at this thread for a while now - I'm actually a bit speechless (there's a first!!) but I have a few thoughts...

I've often wondered what would happen if people from our various guilds read this forum - I'm guessing we behave a bit differently here and some comments could VERY easily be taken out of context or misread for sure (and there's a LOT of comments here!!) - not that I'm suggesting that's the case here ofc but it's worth bearing it in mind!!

I'm guessing that most people see me as a bit anti-Mr Benn after the recent thread about Shammies/Pallies etc. - but I've tried SO many times to encourage him to be a bit more positive and help him get what he wants - without much success - he has a bit of a self-destructive streak I think and I've decided to let it be.

All I can really add is that I'm a person who doesn't give loyalty or respect to people easily (ask anyone I've worked for!!) but I've been a Chim member for long enough to see that Ish and his Officers have created an amazingly successful guild which has acheived some remarkable things and for that I have to respect their decisions.

In the 11 months I've been in Chim only 2 people have been kicked whilst active/not on trial and we've conquered huge chunks of content and gained many many epix.

Ish himself has proven to be an outstanding player and a superb GM - I'd ask people who are outside of Chim to bear that in mind when reading his comments...

Yeah, you would think. I'm curious as to where the line that "has been crossed" is. None of my business of course, but I really cant see anything on here that would justify being kicked, and if the video had any influence on the decision, well thats just a little pathetic.

As a officer of Chimaera we wish not to justify our reasons on this forum we only took up the most obvious point I want to point out that we have read through this whole thread and me for one dont think its kosher to out Chimaera buisness on a forum very few Chimaera members use.

As Ish said there are more then what comes to show on this forum...

Before this degenerates into megadrameh! - can I suggest that Khaz speaks to an Officer in-game and gets the full picture/makes his points and whatever and so on...

If, once that's all done, he wants to keep discussing it here - that's upto him of course - but there's SO much which isn't even mentioned here it's like showing you Chapter 1 of a 2000 page book and asking for your opinion on the End...

There's good and bad in this book - I don't know which there's more of tbh - but the ending sucks kk?

Would have thought with your gear and experience, you'd have no problem getting into another guild! If you want to that is. Maybe you should start getting gear for a respec? Once the Burning Crusade hits, you'll be able to PuG a fair amount of content, so spend the time in between getting some gear for that, through pvp maybe?

Probably what I will be doing.

Once expansion hits I'll still be making a Belf Paladin though, as its the class I like most.

There are plenty of options for Mr Benn, he's in a great position.

After TBC is released I think every guild will go through all sorts of changes.

Personally, I'd say chin up, enjoy PvPing after the patch, and roll on level 70. I'll certainly look forward to him possibly being available for 5 mans and questing in January. I've played with Benn (on opposing teams actually) in Halo and he was a model player in Maelstrom.
