Leaving the other matter to one side now, that's a LOT of reading! I just checked back, and the thing's nearly a year old. So many things have changed and mutated since it began - The Tide is no more, I hit 60, etc etc. I can't imagine reading all 240+ pages again...

I sorta have to assume that everything that Khaz did wrong within Chimaera was discussed with him by officers and in turn once he didn't take the advice and correct his mistakes he was kicked. I can't really believe that that has actually happened.

From everything I gather Khaz has been talking about rerolling his Paladin, playing his Alliance Paladin and missed maybe 10 raids in the past few months. Honestly this doesn't justify a gkick. Maybe talking to Khaz and correcting the differences and problems he had would have saved a gkick but still I can't imagine that Chimaera have sat him down and said, "Please stop bitching about paladins and shamans or we'll gkick you."

Honestly. Why kick the best geared Shaman, one of the most dedicated people on the server? Or even give him loot for that matter before deciding that you want to kick him because he said he's gonna roll a Belf Paladin, whilst being in the guild, to actually help the guild.

I don't get it but anyway of course we don't know half of the story and we never will.

Indeed, so why make suppositions? :lol:

I don't know the story nor do I pretend to, but as therealjohnpeat has said, he's only known of a handful of /gkicks in the history of Chimaera so I doubt it was just on a whim as is being made out...

Exactly*, I have no real view into this really because it seems a whole load of things came to a head. But then that's just reading two or three replies from the guys actually in the guild. I don't know, it's always seemed that this place was a corner that you can have a moan about stuff but nobody really takes it seriously, I 'hope' that this forum isn't going to be taken as some sort of gospel truth in the future. It doesnt matter so much to me being as I'm a member of MUK so most people are from here anyway, but then would we ever have had Kharens picture posted etc? I hope so, I hope we don't lose that seperateness we have.

*I realise this actually wasn't much to do with what you are talking about really. oops.

There's too-much conjecture and opinion going on here - can I point you to something I said earlier plz.

In the last 11 months only 2 people have been kicked from Chim whilst active (to my knowledge anyway) - that suggests that there's no policy of kicking people who do just 1 bad thing or moan a bit or anything even remotely like that.

End of the day, Khaz must have done some things which wound some people-up/were taken the wrong way/went down badly - whatever - enough to make our GM/Officers do something they've only done once before (to my knowledge).

All Khaz can do is learn from this - it may just be a lesson in bad luck/hard knocks or there may be more to it - he's better positioned to know that than anyone else really...

The world ends in 6 weeks anyway - to the portal!

It's hilarious reading things like that when you're sitting where I am, or Gramme/Pinkmoon or a FUCKLOAD of other people which, up until yesterday, included Khaz (with his 7 pieces of Tier 3 + imba weaps).

This is KHAZ we're talking about here - the man who is never happy and no matter how much you try to help him out, he's always got something else to moan about. You lot seem used to it - I'm getting used to it - others perhaps don't see it that way yet (or ever!)?

I can offer one example of the sort of thing we 'may' be considering here. A while ago one of our semi-retired players who likes to troll forums posted about how he was 'pissed off that he'd logged in and said hi and no-one replied'. I'm not sure if he was pissed, trolling or serious (the least likely option) but Khaz picked it up and said "yeah, me too - I hardly bother posting into guildchat these days - no-one speaks to me or anything".

What sort of image does that project then?

Thing is, you see, Chimaera is a fantastic guild - it's actually the best run and most successful guild I've been in, in ANY MMOG - but it's not a kindergarden - it's a machine and it's going somewhere with or without you.

In the last year we've gone from being nobody to being the leading Horde guild on our server by a fair margin. We're the ONLY Horde guild on our server making a serious attempt at Naxxramas and we've even scored a couple of server firsts over an Alliance guild WAY ahead of us in both raidtime and therefore gear...

That sort of progress requires a bit of discipline, a bit of 'benign dictatorship' and a lot of group effort and focus - you have to be all 'on the same page of the hymnbook'. Yes, it means you might not get help to do every possible sidequest and off-time raid - it means you have to be a bit self-reliant in terms of prepartions and allsorts of things like that - it means not moaning about ANY of it.

In all the time I was raiding I never had a 'bad experience' - there was a bit of drameh from time-to-time, but nothing more than that and never over anything serious.

I look on the other member of Chims as a sort of 'online family' - I may not actually LOVE every single one of them, but they are always there when I need em and when it all comes together, we're unstoppable - like some force of nature you ain't even NAMED yet :lol:

p.s. As for how they 'found this place' - it's been mentioned on TS a couple of times and I'm willing to bet linked from the WoW forums or DramaEU or something like that - it's not exactly a secret and personally, there's nothing I've written here I'd not want people to read (so long as they take it in context!!) - and I'd advice no-one else to post anything like that either ;)

Can we stop insulting our guild now, please? It's been said already that kicking isn't a subject that's taken lightly, and damnit, I love Chimaera, so please stop throwing about all this crap about it not being a very good guild.

It's a fantastic guild, full of people who help, full of people who care, full of people who all have a lot of fun together. Please stop assuming and hypothesising about things you know nothing about :lol:

To be honest this is imo not the place to give the explanation why we decided to kick a memeber and as vurt said about 2 ppl have been kicked from the guild since the start of it so its not just cause of this forum its reasons khaz will get from a officer or the gm when khaz is online at the same time as us.

So, I started a mage recently, and I'm having a blast. I specced frost, since as fire I wasn't noticing that huge difference in the numbers when it came to pure damage, and frost you get all the extra kiting ability and things like that.

She dinged lvl 33 today and I'm ever so proud, my highest level alt :lol:)) But, I can't afford a mount at 40 :(

But she pwns!! ;) And I get to wear pretty dresses at last <3

I've been online for approximately 4 or more hours. I logged off only recently about an hour ago. As stated, no officer has contacted me during this time, and yes there were ones online, as far as I know.

I dont need a reason anymore. Whats done is done imo. If I made mistakes, then I am sorry, and I have paid the price for it.

most of us logged on at raid time.. and the time wasnt there for a explanation.

I'm not meaning to stir things up here but if Khaz's expulsion from the guild was from other things than what was posted on the forum here, why would 2 officers from Chimera bother to post on here saying how he has been kicked?

Surely if he's to be kicked it would have been best to either email him or even mail him in game about it rather than spreading it onto here.

Not meaning to have a go or owt. :lol:

Hey, if you want to talk about how great your guild is, you have your own forum for that remember ;)

Look, you cant expect something like this to happen and people not talk about it on here, or come to assumptions. As I see it you can either ignore it till it goes away (which it will soon enough) or offer some explanation as to just what Benn did that was so wrong. Saying people know nothing about it is just plain wrong - we do, but only what has been said on here. As such, you're bound to get speculation on it, as I'm sure a fair few of the people on here consider themselves to know Benn fairly well. And lets not forget that they decided to announce the decision to kick him on here, yet have not offered any explanation even to Benn himself.

I can't justify anything, I've only been in the guild for 7 weeks or something, so I have no answer to give - nor would I, if I could, really, what does it matter here... yes it was announced here but it was 5am and people are sleepy then. Maybe it's not the best time or place, but when is a person in their soundest judgement at 5am? No use dissecting things for a few hours when nothing changes... officers are all busy at the moment..

And we're in the middle of a 5 hour raid so, I'm guessing this isn't the sort of thing that could be handled with a quick whisper in the middle of sorting groups/tanks/targets/healing for Patchwerk. (why am I posting? Because the mind control just got resisted on Razuvious ;))
