Reminds me of something I did once. I dropped leatherworking entirely and got herbalism instead and started out in the Barrens to collect flowers, went from there to silverpine and when I passed lvl 125 I went to Arathi Highlands. When I got near southshore I saw several flowers on my minimap literally IN southshore village so I went in, I was lvl 60 anyways so nothing to fear, right?

I ended up on a wooden pier in southshore where there was a lvl 30 something mage waiting for a boat or something (I dunno, I've never played alliance). The mage started to taunt me and chicken me and he flagged himself for PvP. I knew he knew that I would win the fight but the thing is, there was two lvl 55 elite guards on the pier with him so I figured out his evil plan As soon as I'd whacked him with my mace the guards would've gone for me but I just HAD to smash the mages face in. Being a shaman comes in handy more often than not so what I did was to throw out my earthbind totem to slow them all down, apply a vial of fishoil to my hairy body (to enable waterwalking) and then just ram a frostshock up the mages ass. He got oneshotted as it critted for massive damage and I just jumped off the pier and landed on the water. I stood there waiting for the mage to get back and apparantly he didnt' see me out there on the water so once he ressurected I did a /wave and some /taunt, he turned around and perhaps catched a glimpse of me before the second frostshock hit his face. I was done and pleased and continued harvesting flowers for my priest alt.

PS: The reason I opened this thread was to tell you guys that our guild took down Raggy 1st time last night...finally we can start thinking about BWL and perhaps do a couple of bosses there before BC is out.

That was awesome.

Congratulations, Mr Jeff!

Alas, I can't provide y'all with a shot of my delightfully funky self flexing over Maexxena's hideous, bloated corpse as 18% was as good as we could manage. Still, considering it was our first night of making her acquaintance, it was a respectable defeat and she proved to be a lot less scarier in person than initially feared.

I just tried out treeform again on the PTR but this time I managed to find another tree to help me test something - the tree healing auras stack.

two druids both in treeform I was having rejuvs tick for 600 without any ZHC or buffs or anything :( Only was wearing about 750 healing too so these druids running around with 1000 or more +healing, can't think what they'll be doing :(

Who needs low rank healing touches when a single rejuv is healing at the same rate?

I did Stratholme for the first time last night. Thoughts:

  • The Eye of Naxxramas guys are really annoying.
  • The Holy Water quest is a pain in the arse when the crates keep exploding with maggots.
  • OMG ROOM OF STITCHES
  • That Baron cunt managed to kill that poor lass before we got there, so we had to get him extra hard, just for revenge and shit.

And I got a lovely Skullforge Reaver out of it. I'll go for another one as well!

How are people in big raid guilds planning on handling the expansion? Been reading a few threads about it on the official forums, and was wondering how you see it going?

Dunno really. I think we'll be seeing how many people make it to 70. I knew for a fact that a few of our members are going to reform the first guild they were in before everyone left due to lack of progress/ambition since they could realistically do the 10/25 man stuff now.

We're waiting to see what happens really.

I know that everyone will level at a different pace - many people don't have the time they did when they went 1-60 so it will take them longer - some people will just thrash-the-hell out of it etc. etc.

As I understand it, it's 5 man stuff most of the way to 70 so I guess it's "back to how we used to play" for a while - and then, once people get close to the harder stuff - I guess some 'structure' will return.

I don't even know which char I'll start the trip to 70 with first - obv. choice is my Hunter but he'll see the least benefit as he's in Tier2/BWL gear so I may roll my Rogue (nice 60 blues) or Warlock (similar) - who knows...

Editted to add: I'll probably roll ALL my chars as usual ofc. :lol:

I love strat, get a dwarf to use detect treasure to spot the fake boxes.

I particularly enjoy the bit after the stitches where you get the rush of skellies, paladin aoe ftw there :lol:

Nobody seems to know or we're just kind of trying to ignore it for the moment.

There was some talk from our GM about continuing to raid in naxx when tbc was out until its clear but I really doubt that'll happen.

Probably a guild push to getting to 70 quickly with aid for people to run instances and such and then sorting out multiple instance runs if we still have the numbers we do now.
