Razorgore was fun in that everyone has to work at it - it's not like MC where 35-or-so of the raid are just piling damage in whilst the others hold it together tanking, healing etc. etc.

I suspect that the balance of classes requires you to adapt strategies a bit - if you're priest heavy, MCing targets will help - wheras if you're Shammy/Druid heavy a mixture of healing tanks and sleeping/trapping will work better and so on.

Our problem was simply that our kiters couldn't be kept alive along enough and the 'corners' were leaking monsters which would target the kiters or the guy on the Orb.

It's all fine and well reading guides - as we do - but I'd like to experiment more with different group placements etc. - find something which we 'click' with better. It worked for Raggy - changing our position for the sons made the diff between wpiing and pwning him with only 2-3 dead :(

The list of high dkp absentees when the core hound tooth was yanked out of the chest was painfully long.  :o

*cry*

I wasn't there either, so it went to a sword rogue... who has both dal'rends anyway (I'm dagger and am using a green off-hand) and on his second ever MC trip.

*crrrryyy*

But I did get [Zandalarian Hero Medallion] today :P

Another night and another wipetastic coupla tries on Ragnaross. Getting there though. Got him down to about 48% before we wiped, and thats with no buffs from UBRS, Onyxia, etc and no flasks or the like.

We couldnt get the Onyxia buff, even though we had the head to hand in ready, as someone had already handed it in, thus we just decided to screw all the buffs, and just go for it. Not a disastrous attempt, but I still think our positioning isnt right for the sons.

Loadsa people also need to get more FR stuff, mainly Dark Iron plate, mail, and the like. I got 205 fr with the Druid buff, and I was resisting practically everything, hell I went for a swim now and then and came out virtually unscathed. One of the last people standing too :o

WHen we took Rag down we couldn't get the Onyxia buff so we did it with the UBRS fire buff and some greater fire prot potions. I had 110 FR unbuffed and I think that was the worst.

We got him to about 40% before the sons and nailed him with 15 seconds left on the timer for sons round two.

THe sons are the real killer, and from what I've heard, training of sorts for things to come.

Hopefully we'll nail him again this Friday. We're gonna use the Onyxia buff this time if we can.

We didn't even use potions until we got all our positioning and Sons tactics sorted on Raggy. Then we got the buffs and got him to 8%, the night after he fell.

The only people that need a ton of Fire resist at Raggy are melees and MTs. Casters and Hunters can get away with surprisingly little. Just bring 2-3 fire pots along and you'll be fine.

Woo, Prevailing Light took down 3 bosses in ZG last night: snake dude, bat lady and raptor bloke (got him on second attempt). Not all of us were 60's and not many have epic items either. It's opened my eyes to the joys of instance raids.

I've started a new character, called Quinlan on Dreanor, he's a Night Elf Druid. I quite like the area so far but I'm 2 bars from lv 16 and it's getting tough questing on my own.

Any advice for Night Elfs or Druids in general?

You know what I'm going to say I think

Arrange the following words into a well known phrase or saying...

HORDE REROLL

:)

If you're set on your course into the path of blonde-haired GHEYness however - NElfs makes brilliant Hunters - as the game currently permits Aimed Shots from Shadowmeld (they fix that soon or I demand a refund - frankly)...

I think I'm just going to collect up arcanists now.

It's just too much bother to try to get the +dmg items I really want and would actually wear for more than just standing in OG. You climb near the top of the list and then something drops. No-one wants it, you're all wearing pretty much the same gear anyway, so it just comes down to someone doing the honorable thing and getting them.

Can't be arsed with the protracted silence in raid when the phrase "roll for [Arcanist Shit]" is posted.

In the long run though, at least Tier 2 is going to cost me fuck all :)

And at least then I can horde horde horde with no problems <_<

The core stats of the gloves aren't too shabby, and extra fire resistance is always nice... but why on earth they give us +4 mana/5 seconds instead of some chunky +damage, I do not know.

And they look ridiculous too - about 10 times too big for the undead model.

So far I've passed them up - I currently have Sandworm Skin Gloves and see no reason to change them for Arcanist, but the pressure will start to tell soon if I don't spend DKP elsewhere. I guess the crown is quite nice, although someone else (on 6/8 Arcanist) will pout if I go for that.

I'm currently top boy in Chimaera for the Azuresong Mageblade if the fucker ever drops again, and I'm hard pushed to think of *anything* that's as big an upgrade to me in any slot as that. At the minute I'm running round with the Mind Carver and Fire Runed Grimoire... not only is the Mageblade is huge upgrade in itself, but it's loot finally worth putting the +30 spell damage enchant on, giving me an extra +58 damage and 1% crit in total. GIEVF!

I wouldn't complain about the Netherwind Bindings either, I suppose. I think I'm first for those too, if we ever get Razorgore down... :(

Druids...

Well I love playing a druid (though I am a tauren one ) and I really enjoy it. From about lvl 15-20 it may be a bit of a drag though I suppose, as you've not yet got catform.

Now catform I adore!! It's great for soloing. Stealth, quick kill, throw on a heal in caster and repeat. Very little downtime.

So the advice is just to keep at it until you hit level 20 ;)

Got my Cenarion Spaulders, which was nice.

Trees ftw!

ROCK ON!

I love my spaulders. Sometimes I like to just sit in the forest and fit in. Maybe.

I wish that cenarion went better with wildheart.

Wildheart Purple + Cenarion Beige = Fug

I also got an epic belt last night thanks to our guild leader. Didn't really know what to say, was a bit gobsmacked and it was gift wrapped and everything. Apparently she got it preemptively for her druid that she never bothered levelling up. Can't remember what the belt is called, but it has like +53 healing on it, which is a lot for a belt.

Ah - the issue of 'everyone looking the same' - it's quite depressing on Draenor now, standing in Org as streams of 'lookalikes' wander past me...

Once upon a time - when more people were on way to 60 than actually there - it was a colourful and varied place - but now it's hard to tell people apart at times...

Half the casters are in the PvP set - which looked cool until they all had it...

Tier 2 Helms are everywhere - and I spotted a Hunter who had the Tier 2 Shoulders last night and rejoiced only because they look like a random drop worn by a Level 30 :) :)

Tier 0 armour actually stands out now - and I still need that Dreadmist Mask for my Tauren Hunter ;)

Tell you what you don't see much any more - the Mooncloth Robe. Everyone used to have one of those, and when I saw one the other day I just assumed it must have been the ZG revered mage chest until I inspected them.

Yeah, chant, that was about my reply too. Probably a bit like you and that pattern.

She said "don't go feral specced now!"

So I'm thinking maybe she's keeping us resto specced druids sweet so we don't all turn into cats and bears like Kheldar and Olorin
