OK guys. The tournament is set up at PokerRoom. Log in, go to Private Tournaments and click on the Scheduled tab. Click the tournament tab on the list of tables and look for Bill E Brown (the private tournaments are named after the player who sets it up). Select the tournament and either double click or hit 'Go to Tournament'. Next, hit Register. You'll be asked for a password. Enter 'rllmuk' (all lower-case). That should be it. Let me know if there are any problems.

When I was setting up the tournament, it asked for the blind structure I wanted. The options were: Turbo, Normal or Slow. There's no indication as to what those terms represent in minutes, so I went for normal. Hopefully that'll be 12 minutes like we're used to, but we'll have to see and adjust the following week if needs be.

Think I'll spend a bit of time this evening trying to get used to the games interface etc.

I decided to try and do the same thing last night. I entered a 20-man SnG for $5.50 and came fourth, doubling my money.

I was still getting used to the interface, so I thought I'd play a $5 tournament which started this morning at 10.30am. There were 205 entrants. It just finished. I only bloody well won! $307.53 in winnings! I'm ever so slightly chuffed. I can only hope my luck continues this week as I'm playing in a casino tournament on Thursday. Can't wait.

As for the interface, it's a bit clunky at first when you compare it to UB, and it's strange in that you're not automatically at the centre of the table like before. However, I really like it when there's a showdown: it gives you percentage odds for each hand, plus a nice dramatic pause before the turn and river respectively. Nice touch.

However, players don't seem to be able to chat at the tables once they've ben knocked out. I've emailed them about that to see if it can be changed for private games. Fingers crossed.

There we go, I'm signed up for the game

Nice one Stifler, thanks for that.

However, there are still only three people added to the tournament. I'm starting to worry that a bunch of people still aren't realising that they have to add themselves now. I'll send out another round of PMs I guess.

Well done Billy! Excellent result...I look forward to trying to take some of that cash off you tomorrow (...or today really :P )

I'm not working tomorrow, so might enter a SnG or two in the afternoon to get used to the software. Going to check out what time these 'Shark cage' events start too, as sounds like a fun tourney <_<

Can anyone who can get on there now tell me how many have registered for tonight's game? I'm still a bit nervous that we're going to be shorter than even last week. I sent out another round of PMs last night, but I've had this many replies: zero. Hopefully that means that the information was clear and people went and signed up without any problems, but I'm assuming that we're still going to be short.

I guess the forum playing up so much recently won't have helped.

Only 7 of us registered for tonight. There's still plenty of time for others to join though.

LucanVortex and Michael both said they'd play, but haven't signed up yet...hopefully they'll check their PM's/this thread before 9pm.

It's cool that we can add ourselves to the game now though, as it means we can register right up to the start of the game, and don't have to rely on UB.

Any word on spectator chat yet? Maybe we could set up an IRC room or something instead.

Excellent game tonight lads, shame there weren't more of us.

Love the showdown percentages on PokerRoom...broke my heard seeing mine go from 75% down to 5% tho, when I'd forced Fondue in with my QQ against his ATo...a very well deserved money finish for him this week though :P

The heads-up with ThreeB's was pretty intense, with me going in massively short stacked, but managing to pull a bit back with some balls out all-in's. Wish he'd called a few of them...I had AA, QQ, JJ, AK and AQ mixed in with a few more random ones like TJ and K8. Finally went out when my K6 came up against his K8, to give him a well deserved victory :D

Just a shame we can't chat at the table for a few mins after the game like on UB though.

Man, I'd blame my poor showing on not being used to the interface, but in my heart I know it was just bad play. Not too keen on being kicked off the table the moment you're out though - can that be changed?

Anyhow, next week - pretty much free for any night, I think.

Really enjoyed it last night despite switching my computer off half way through in error! Got done by the river - odds went from 76% to 0 on last card or something!! The chat thing is a bit annoying although you can keep the lobby page open on the tourneament and chat on there still whislt watching the game in another screen but still not ideal.

I would prefer Tuesday I guess next week but cannot do thursday or Friday.

ANother odd thing was that some spanner named Whizzard appeared on our lobby page, just after I limped out on an optimistic A10, and started asking questions (about Richard Nixon, bizarrely! :( ). How did he get into our lobby page?

Edit: Or should I lay off the shrooms?
