That's a shame. What's so awful about it? I thought it was alright and good to chat/drive with some rll'ers. Do you have specific formats that you like playing, is it us or just the game?

Sorry you didn't enjoy it, I'm probably not the best host as I don't know the tracks all that well so was picking pretty much at random (although I did ask if anyone had any preferences).

I just found it good to play some relaxed games against forumites with a varied set of cars (I don't touch normal online PGR3 now as you can only use about 5-6 cars).

Main thing that was lacking was players, you really need the full 8 people for it to be very enjoyable. Also i guess maybe we were all a bit quiet that night, i dont know.

I dunno, it was my first session online with PGR3 and it wasn't as stellar as the first sesh I had with PGR2 online. That was pretty incredible. I need good kind people to change my mind about the online validity of it.

You have just got to accept that PGR3 is not PGR2. Online they are very different experiences and like BPH says you'll find that it's very rare, online, that anyone uses anything but the best cars.

Fuck that shit. This is what gets me about PGR3. I thought having uber cars would be a grin but I miss the lower classes. I haven't played online yet so I may have a sesh after Surreal if anyone fancies it? Bearing in mind I only have 2 cars bought and don't really now how the online aspect of the game works.

In case I'm missing something, is there definitely no lobby type affair when you play this online? I can just find the various types of race which then seem to plonk you into a random race of that type. Is this the only way it works online?

You can have a Playtime race where you can set a room up and choose what kind of races/cars you want. It's separate to the Online Career.

We do a Monday night weekly league meet. The games are all pre-prepared by the organisers and all you have to do is turn up. Looks like we might get a 3rd league this season.

They're a good bunch and all the ones I have raced against race fair and honest. There's also a good variety of abilities.

Sign up is now open for season 4 so go and have a look if you're after some regular PGR3.
