I think we need to follow the hip hop lads, to be honest. A monthly thread where we all recommend/upload dance tracks of any sort - not for a huge debate, but just to bring tunes to each other that we might otherwise have missed.

How about having a 'Dance' thread for anything house, techno, trance, electronic etc. and a 'Funk' thread for the funk, soul and disco etc.

I think it needs to be monthly though, to keep it fresh, and to stop it slipping down the list like the last one did.

I'm not sure enough people here are into the whole 'dance' scene enough to warrant a monthly thread. The only reason I don't post much in here is because there isn't much to shout about and I haven't been mixing at all. Give it a try but the Hip-Hop boys are pretty hardcore compared to us!

We need to convert, fella. The hip-hop guys aren't especially hardcore - there is just a lot of em. I say we all do some hunting, come up with some tracks we'd like to recommend, and have a crack in September.

As a little preview, I just can't stop playing Gareth Emery's remix of Vinny Troia pres. Jaidene Veda - Flow. Doesn't do anything amazing, but it's so chunky and solid. Would make a great lead-in for a mix, methinks.

It's a bit 'Greatest Hits' of the last few months but I was doing for a mate who likes that sort of thing. Anyway, I had a few new tunes to have a listen to so I stuck Audition on to record whilst messing about on my decks.

I'll put a complete track list up at somepoint, once I've worked out/remembered what it is. I do remember it's got a bootleg of Calabria, Exceeder, BodyRox, Supermode, Freeform 5, Chocolate Puma, Fedde le Grand etc. You get the idea. Mostly not the normal mixes you hear though. A few surprises as well.

 Just been listening to Live & Direct on cassette. Yes cassette haha. Fucking brilliant album. For a very short window Adamski was hip as fuck (until he was all up in the charts). Proper Blackburn Warehouse chills.

No cassettes these days but I've still got this on vinyl, takes me right back.

Charnock Richard services where's the party at? Yup went to a few of the old illegal parties back then. Incredible days. Had live and direct for almost 30 years and only just realised it had killer on at the end. I was a proper snob and probably blanked it out of my mind. Silly as it's a cracking tune.

Should have sacked off Charnock Richard and started a few hours earlier at the Sett End.

Then drive round for an hour in circles and end up at the Tizer warehouse about 5 minutes away.
