Mine shpiped about 1 week after I ordered it (was showing as Back ordered) - I'd guess they are justselling faster than they are being supplied. Nowt to worry about. Everywhere seems to be selling out too.

Got my Black Lite today, to go alongside my JP Crystal White one.

The D-Pad seems stiffer than that of my Japanese import. I now understand what some people have said about the diagonals being hard to perfect. Totally unlike my JP one, although I'm used to it now. The stylus and GBA filler cart are also a tighter fit. God, the black really is a finger print magnet, isn't it!

I bought my Black Lite from GAME, and asked if I could have Phoenix Wright in the £109.99 bundle, to which they kindly obliged (after calling HMV to confirm their deals). I didn't have to mention returning the Lite if there are any faults, dead pixels, dodgy D-pad, etc. The Staff member said it would be no problem, before I even had the chance to ask about it. Thankfully, bar the slight D-Pad niggle, the machine is perfect.

Now to go about ordering a matching HORI case. A Compact Pouch in black, to go with the white one I have. Great cases, they are. :)

Attention anyone who finishes work late at night: Don't play on your DS Lite while waiting for your taxi to turn up. This will result in you being bombarded by millions of tiny midgies, moths and other insects. ;)

Took my white DS back and picked up a Black one, the D pad seems worse but the volume slider is more tight and doesn't wobble. Finger prints don't come up as bad as the PSP. Overall i rate the black better than the white now! Oh and 0 dead pixels! YAY!

People having trouble with diagonals, try using the tip of your thumb rather than the joint area.

I can't do diagonals in AC easily with the joint but it is with the tip.

Still needs a fair bit of force, but it feels like it's breaking in.

RetroEd: that sounds like what I've got on my black Lite, there's just a little bit more glossy plastic sticking out on the edges which make things a tight fit.

Does the DS have some kind of temperature sensor? It's just that in Brain Training, they guy commented on how the days are getting so much hotter. This happened on the hottest day of playing the game. Perhaps it's just guessing by the date and he got it right by mere coincidence.

You know the flash carts... do you have to mess with the DS in any way, or does it just run games off the cart?

You run the games of the cart - you also need some sort of pass device to make the DS think there is a proper DS game in the system.

A colleague of mine bought one, so this was the first time I could actually hold and play it outside a demo stand.

It really is very tiny and sweet.

Now I'm tempted to get one... :)

.::: If you've been opening and closing it with a certain sense of awe and wondering why the hell it feels so right if you hold it, I predict you'll get one by the end of this week (stocks permitting).

It looks great when it just lies there.

It looks great when you open it and the light moves over the casing.

It looks great when you turn it on and see those lovely bright screens.

The only thing that doesn't look great is that the bottom screen is considerably darker and a bit yellow compared to the topscreen.

.::: That's the sound of willpower snapping, allright. Always so satisfying. *ahem*
