Nintendo DS Lite

I once again point to Exhibit A: my "arctic" White GBA, still crisp and white to this very day.

My original white DS was the same colour the day I bought it as the day I sold it too. White Saturn was never a problem either. The only console I've seen that habitually turns yellow is the SNES.

So is mine. The only 'evidence' is that the white DS Lites in the demopods look gash*. But maybe that is because all those little snotty kids are all over them with their greasy unwashed sugarcoated hands and the shopkeepers don't clean it properly.

* Gash as in unclean, rank and dirty.

By that logic Gamecube pads have a shitty coating that wears down to a shiny, frictionless surface and the stick become loose and useless.

I wouldn't know as I've used my GameCube pads so little that they look as crisp as the day I bought them, but then more dusty.

BAN REQUEST. You're not allowed to make such statements until you've finished RE4.

Hmmm.

I would have to say NSMB. Perfect thing to go with a new lite, though Ive been very keen to phoenix wright recently.

Oh and I caved in and bought a black one

Old ds is going to the gf.

Has anyone tried any of these downloads in shops? I was in HMV on Oxford Street yesterday and downloaded a demo of Trauma Centre. It all worked quite seamlessly and nice. I can't do the second operation though - it appears pretty much impossible. I think i'm missing something...

Me and my bro have been playing Mario Kart two player at night with our DS Lites. I'm in my bed and he's in his bed, which is over 10m away with walls in the way etc and it works flawlessly with max signal strength! Nothing better than hearing him having a fit because I just piped him at the line..

Download play or do you both have a cart?

I gave up on waiting untill Friday and went and bought one today, traded my old DS against it.

Bought the white one, as I don't want to be constantly wiping it like with the PSP. I am skint, and I don't regret it one bit. First impressions were mainly sitting in Starbucks with my mouth open, drinking in every detail. (I had to drink something, the coffee was shite)

The improvement in the screens is like a generational leap forward, and the asthetics are far, far better. Though for my the Start and Select buttons are alkwardly placed.

Safe to say that I'm in love with my DS again, largly thanks to Brain Training (£10 with the Lite) and NSMB (birthday present)

If anyone has any doubt's whatsoever about getting one, just do it. It's probably the best thing ever. Seriously. It's so good, my non-gaming girlfriend wants one.

The black DS Lite looks like a largish womens makeup compact, hence why it gets left lying on the dresser amongst my wifes things when shes not actually playing it, as opposed to being slipped back into its leather carrycase (a leftover from my walkman years back)

I keep my DS Lite just lying around and put it in my pocket with my cellphone and/or keys. No scratches yet though!

Nightmares yet?

Hmm, just ordered one of those nifty pouches. I'll keep my DS Lite in a folded velvet sheet and will only play it wearing latex gloves until it arrives.

I do the same, it's got loads of little scuffs on the top but you can barely see them. BECAUSE IT'S WHITE.
