The Liberal Elite
Tell them - MAKE IT A PROPER ADVENTURE GAME NOT SOMETHING IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE. ← to be fair, they did as much as they could (bar annoying crates) given the limitations of the point 'n' click genre. I'd like to seem the try and take it a bit further than simply make it 3D and add a couple of 'stealth' sections. Basically, I enjoyed it, but it could have been so much more. IMO I don't know why I'm wrote any of that.
ROM
to be fair, they did as much as they could (bar annoying crates) given the limitations of the point 'n' click genre. ← But that's the whole point, with part 3 it stopped being a point n' click adventure! nausea
Blimey!I'd have to check with Sega to see if we would be allowed - but if these guys are willing to fund the development, sort out the Ferrari license and provide us with some dev hardware then I'm sure we'd consider it. Probably cost about half a million quid or so. We'll do them a quote if they like --- S0L --- ← big mistake, S0L.. now you will never get rid of them. the thing is.. i'm pretty sure 50000 Dreamcast owners worldwide are willing to donate £10 each. and don't be surprised if there's a Katana dev kit standing in front of your door one morning. Dimahoo
Hmm...one of the last great games on the Ps2 methinks (although i'l proberly plump for the PC version).
squirtle
I was to busy enjoying the Live options and progressive scan to pine for a Dreamcast version. ← Given that the Live component was rubbish (Daytona's was better from what I remember) and the VGA output of the DC pisses on the PS output of the Xbox, that's not much of an argument. Sketch
As it is we're working 15-18 hour days - kind of hard to be motivated to go home and do some more 15 hours? Ouch, I read about a SoA team pushing those kinds of hours, two guys got burnt out and nearly died, literally, from overwork. Best of luck. Oh, and does anyone know if they're sticking with 3D for BS4, or by some miracle decided to go with high resolution 2D? I love this thread, it's like a fascinating repository of utterly random and barely connected bumph. TOTY TBH
sir stiff_one
I'd put in £20 to get a DC copy of Outrun2 in a year's time. Maybe purely for the perverse pleasure of owning it, but hey.
Mogster
Oh, and does anyone know if they're sticking with 3D for BS4, or by some miracle decided to go with high resolution 2D? ← As I recall, they're sticking with 3D due to the publisher (Atari?) insisting on it or something. That was a while ago though.
node
I really don't get the devotion the Dreamcast has managed to garner. ← Oh it was a great console with many an enjoyable game. Doesn't stop these desperate chaps from looking like tits though.
