Anyone care?

I think if we win another game this season the manager of the beaten club should be instantly sacked such is our inability to defend and telegraph to every team how to beat us.

Selling Ken to pay of the Jose bill is gonna suck....

Nah. Couldn't have cared less. Needs something to change to get me interested again. Even if we win we rarely seem to deserve it.

We'll probably win the league cup so José can point to that as evidence he isn't past it.

Half expect it now. Go one-up, lose the game in the last 15 minutes after switching to defence mode.

I’d say José out, but apart from Hojbjerg and Reguilon, this is basically the same team that got Poch the sack, and that he wanted to totally rebuild. Booting Mourinho might relieve the symptoms for a while, but a lot of these players just aren’t good enough, or are past their best.

Can you think of a starting XI out of that squad you’d want to stay ?

Hugo and Toby are the wrong side of the age war now, unfortunately, but we need two new CBs, at least one RB, a GK who can command his penalty area and defenders, and possibly a 10. As for the midfield, I still think José is playing Lo Celso and Ndombele the wrong way round, and would push Ndombele up and have Lo Celso and Hojbjerg as the pivot. Sissoko and Winks

can go - Skipp needs integrating into the first team squad.

For all the talk of Nagelsmann, I don’t think we have the players in this squad that can play that high intensity press anymore. That’s why Poch had to ditch it.

Have to admire the Dulux twitter account for calling out our defence. Well played.

Have to be disappointed that the official Dulux response is to apologise. Rather than asking wtf the defence are up to.

I know, right ? Spurs fans are by nature defeatists, so pretty much any of us probably just nodded agreement with the tweets.

And everyone else is thinking about dulux and paint in a positive way.

I think Kane is already gone. There’s no way we’re getting CL playing like this. The point flattered us last night. The only slight hope in the Cup Final is that City have a CL semi-final three days later, so I’m hoping Pep will be resting quite a large number of his starting XI.

I don’t think anyone can afford Kane and that the only reason he will stay as long contract etc etc.

As you say the cup final is a Jose special, CL has to be Peps main aim this season and a few players rested and some early pressing will have a few minds in bigger games to come - the only issue being Man City’s C team are better than we are at the moment :(

Never a pen last night btw, good old VAR... not that we deserved anything from the game!

Wow, leaves a really bad taste to see that Spurs have agreed on their 30 pieces of silver to join this super league lark. Seems a rather extreme way to guarantee the european competition that Harry Kane wants in order to stay at the club.

If FIFA and UEFA ban all participating players from representing their countries at FIFA and UEFA events like the World Cup and the Euros he definitely won’t stick around.

Yeah, many more....

Funny how Arsenal are in the 6 given they have won basically nothing in Europe.

Good news on Jose, odd timing but ine assumes someone has been lined up

Strong rumour is that he refused to take the players onto the training ground this morning in protest against the Super League. Seems he knew nothing about it either, and didn’t agree. Huge argument with Levy.

He may have been shite, but at least he has principles.

EDIT - this has since been poo-pooed.

I’m sad in a way. I didn’t want him at the beginning because of the mess he left Manchester United in, but said at the time that I’d be delighted to be proven wrong. Disappointed that it went the same way, except without the trophies.

Just got told this on a Teams call - WTF

Reading all the comments about it, my hot take is that they are shitting it with talk up of Kane wanting out - and I don't think Kane had the same connection as he did with Poch - so something has to give

Easy money for Jose, again.

So the manager hired to specifically win a trophy who has not since been sacked after a final was pencilled into the calendar because the club has been hanging on to him possibly winning it despite sliding down the table has just been let go a week before playing the final. I can't stand Mourinho so it's quite funny, but that said, like everyone else i was thinking; well could he? We were all curious. Now we will never know.

That Levy sure is a genius. But wait! you might add, he hired Pochettino, the most impressive young overseas manager in years no one could possibly miss, and saved the money that could have been spent on rejuvenating the squad and threw half of it at sacking him and hiring Mourinho. I hope Levy rewards himself with a much deserved £5m bonus for his efforts in navigating the mess he made himself that no one else in the world thought would work out well.

It's easier sacking managers because good players cost shit loads of money.  When Crystal Palace wanted £80 million for Zaha, it's easier to tell managers that they will have to make do with £10 million-£15 million worth of players, and pay them £30 million tops to sack them.

Doesn't make sense from a football perspective, but from a balance sheet perspective, it's a great result.
