Afternoon

GO BOLTON!!!! If things stay the same way as they are now it'll be the luckiest couple of weeks we've ever had...

I'd like to see Barnard given a chance, if we'd managed to stay in a cup longer than 15 minutes this season he may have had a brief runout.

Damn Spurs.  1-1 against Sunderland.  We completely spurned a chance to widen the gap between us and the Gooners. :)

We where terrible today, even playing as bad as we did we had chances to finish Sunderland off but alas not.

More points dropped, Arse + Bolton drawing was a good result for us and we blew it :)

I have to say, when Arsenal get their players back they are easily going to overtake us. We are in a bit of a false position.

Is Viera comming back ?

I dont think we are, infact we should have more points than we have, we dropped points at Westham, Fullham and Sunderland. Arsenal have been sussed and i cant see them beating any of the top teams. I actually think Bolton + Everton are more of a threat to 4th spot than Arsenal are.

Look at Arsenals next few prem games - Liverpool, Blackburn, Fullham + liverpool again. I would expect 2-4 points from those games (3 of them are away)

They are going to get some defenders coming back and I think that might be the difference. This is the weakest they are going to be all season and we're not taking advantage.

Mentioning the games where we dropped points just demonstrates what I mean. The Fulham and Sunderland games were dreadful matches, we still don't quite have the class to stretch clear in those games. Right now Arsenal should be almost out of touch, but we've let them stick in there.

I'm not being excessively miserable. In comparison to what we've come to expect from Spurs this has been a great year in the league. But I can't shakethe feeling that Arsenal's ddodgy season has probably come a year too early for us.

So, with the scum having a lot more games packed in over the coming weeks, we've really got a good chance of getting some points between ourselves and them. They've got Real (a), Blackburn (a), Fulham (a), Real (h) and Liverpool (a) again from now until March 12th, whereas we've got Wigan (h), Blackburn (h) and Chelsea (a). that's a lot of away matches over the next month for 'em, and a couple of juicy home ones for us. It'd be nice if we could get something at Chelsea, buty I'm not going to hold out much hope of that!

A Totteham thread?  :(  This should be a good laugh! One week champions league, the next week sack the manager. I predict a finish of 8th!

Wheres that then? I've not seen a sack the manager post, I've seen a lot of I love Jol posts though.

Personally I think 4th is there but ultimately the Arse will scrape into 4th with us 5th. 6th if we fail to start scoring again.

I'll leave the "sack the manager" posts to the gooners and mancs who with their glory seeker supporters are having major problems coming to terms with transitional seasons, but then as most of them probably never watched football pre 1996...........

Anyone else considered the possiblity of Tottenham getting fourth spot at the end of the season but Arsenal winning the champs league?  Think I'm right in saying that in that scenario tottenham would be dumped out so that Arsenal could defend the trophy...

I think Spurs would go into the UEFA Cup if that happened.

Well not sure what to think after this game. Wigan where good and we where poor. A 2-2 draw was better for us on the day but we should be beating Wigan really.

Still i suppose if we play bad and get a point its not all in vain, we need to get out of this rut before others get out of theirs !

Big up Wigan tho, possitive from the start (as they have been every time ive seen them) and they are truly a positive for the Prem league this season.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You gave me a good laugh there. As if that's ever going to happen.

Still, it'd be up there with that time when the Arse managed to stay in the top flight even though they were relegated, with Spurs the ones who dropped when they were safe (early 20th Century).

Actually what happened is that an election was held, spurs had finished in a relegation position and the Arse 5th in the secoind division. Due to bribes arse were elected into the 1st division and spurs relegated.

Thus the Arse are the only club in england not in their league on merit.

Well not sure what to think after this game.

We've been dreadful for most of 2006, thats what I think after this game.

Same old Spurs, didn't agree with the post match booing - now Raisek and a few others have been sold off, wonder who the boo boys will target now. We do seem to have a tendancy to pick out one or two of our own players and barrack them.

Tut, I forgot Reids still at the club it'll be him (Though he is rubbish).

That's it, something like that.

Just been looking at the table. Even though we didn't play, we now have Bolton (2 games in hand and 4 points behind) and Blackburn (3 points behind) to worry about.

And we play Blackburn next !

As i said a while ago, Arsenal are not the threat to 4th place its others like Bolton, Blackburn etc.
