The Spurs Thread

Jesus, Veloso would be immense! I really want the season to start and the window to close - my head is starting to spin with all these exciting targets being linked and I must say I'm really pleased with the quality of player we've managed to bring in thus far.

There's definitely not enough Spurs supporters on this here board.

So Arshavin's asking price has been lowered and Santanta has linked us with a deal as early as this evening, others are saying this price drop has alerted other parties. I'd really like us to get him as a direct replacement for Keane. Arshavin seems a versatile player who would be comfortable in our system. I really hope we can sign him.

Berbatov? Is he going to go? I just can't fathom a guess as to what's going to happen.

I can't wait for the season to begin!

Arshavin would be good as long as he's not ridiculously expensive, something around £19-20mil would be OK as we'd pay it off over a number of years and wouldn't hamper us too much. Its all gone deathly quiet yet again regarding Berbatov and Ramos has yet again said he'd like him to stay, even praising his professionalism so it sounds like reports saying he was dressing room poison are bollocks. He trained again yesterday so I think we'll get to see him at least 1 more time in a Spurs shirt, if not more.

Seriously, The Mail absolutely hate us, I don't think I've ever seen anything either true or up to date about us coming from them this entire window. You would have thought The Mirror would be worse as their sports editor is apparently a Gooner, but they look like THFC supporters' club in comparison.

The Mail are the worst for stirring up things with players by just lying all the time. Last week they claimed Warnock had handed a transfer request in at Blackburn even though he hadn't. Today they are claiming Santa Cruz has handed a transfer request in even though he hasent. Its fucking annoying tbh.

I think a lack of goals is going to be a real problem for us this season. I could never imagine myself saying that last season with all the options we had. Defoe is a distant memory, Keane is gone and Berbatov looks like a done deal as soon as the money men at United can find a pen in the office that works. That's nearly all of our goals from the last few seasons gone.

Now, I like Darren Bent but to make up those goals we need to replace what we've lost because I sure as hell don't see forty - fifty goals a season from our, nevertheless impressive, midfield.
