Well Sonic 2 was good but it was not revolutionary just better visuals maybe level design and an assistant Mailes (Tails prouder), Sonic 3 and Knuckles released as one game would make my change my favorite Sega game. Excuse the puctuaction errors please I'm a full time worker.

I guess that's true, but I was saying that's my favourite Sega game, doesn't matter if it's revolutionary or not. It was the first game I ever owned (+ Megadrive) :o

Daytona USA 1 & 2. So perfect is it, that anyone old or young can play it. And even today, it's utterly brilliant fun :(

And there ISN'T A DECENT CONSOLE VERSION.

:):(:(:(:(

Before someone says " Weeel... the Dreamcast version is brilliant with the Steering Wheel "

Shhhhh :o

Sega Rally Championship 1995

STILL one of the best racing games EVER made. It pisses on so many recent racing games.

END OF THREAD

They kind of redeemed themselves with this.

I must admit that when I think of the best of SEGA I think back to the arcades in the 80's. Games like Outrun, Afterburner, Space Harrier and Super Hang-On will always remind me of great times and simple but addictive gaming.

That probably says more about me than what SEGA have done since as the only SEGA games that really captured my attention in the last few years have been Crazy Taxi and Outrun2, both simple acrade games but totally addictive.

I do enjoy the 2D Sonic games right enought, but Sonic in 3D is just wrong. I also count Shenmue as one of my worst gaming experiences too, so I'll be public enemy number one around here with a few folk due to that.

PSO by far. I could ramble about the pioneering (hoho) aspect of an online console RPG, the wonderful translation system breaking down barriers, the intense feeling of cameraderie and focused teamwork, the thrill of the boss fights, the complexity of Challenge Mode and the unique and beautiful atmosphere created by the sights and sounds... but I won't.

I'll just say it's the best game I ever played, and five years on I still love it dearly.

Yep. Even though I love the NES 'cos it got me back into gaming, the NN64 has my favourite games, and the Xbox has probably seen more play than any other due to Halo, the Dreamcast is the console I feel most affectionate about.

I don't know why. The controller was an ergonomic nightmare, but there was something about the machine... perhaps it was the crisp graphics and vibrant colours... perhaps it was the library of great pick-up-and-play games... perhaps it was because the machine was host to the Shen Mues... but whatever the reason, the Dreamcast was lovely.

In fact, that picture is a good approximation of what I see when I look at the machine... everything goes blurry at the edges as tears well up in my eyes... :o

Having had some more time to think about it, it's one of three.

Shenmue (as already mentioned), Super Monkey Ball or Golden Axe. Of all Sega's old arcade stuff, Golden Axe just had something about it that makes it ace. I think it's the way you can smack small men in blue and green suits to get stuff, or ride on dinosaurs and call up dragons to attack. Arcade genius.
