Super Mario Galaxy on the way for Wii

OMG. Daredevil Comet on the haunted house level (bouldergiest) is driving me nuts. One of the hardest things in a game I've seen.

.::: There are far worse things in the game. This is actually quite easy.

No, what hint? I just had a break, went back to it, and did it first time... woo!

.::: The gold spots.

I don't disagree that it doesn't seem that hard, and yeah, most attacks are reasonably easy to avoid. I just keep fucking it up for some reason. I've found a lot of things easier than they should be in this game (cookie cutter hungry luma level done first time) but this just has me stumped. God knows why. Stupid things like turning around before he's thrown everything. Yes it's bad, but half the time the last rock is hidden behind my life meter (which obscures too much of the screen at the best of times) and getting hit.

Really it's me rushing too much.

I didn't find that star particularly hard. You know which one I've had real trouble with? No, not Luigi's Purple Coins or the second version of the rubbish clearing (which was actually pretty hard). That damn level in which you have to use those sticky web launchers to grab 100 purple coins. Oh, how I've cursed.

I've gotten about 25 stars now and found it all very easy so far. But then again I am probably the greatest platformer of all time.

My only niggle is that sometimes you don't know when you can walk around/under something and when you can't. So I've lost a few lives falling off things when I've assumed I'd be able to walk completely around it.

Probably my one and only gripe, too. Though it's happened so rarely and the restart is so generous that it's not an issue really.

Finally managed to track down a copy of this in Birmingham city centre - been trying all bloody week since I got my wii! Everything is sold out everywhere! Remotes, games, you name it, you can't get it! Very annoying.

Anyway, I've not gotten far (beat Dino Piranha) but it is a lovely game. Looks wonderful, plays nicely, music is great, it all feels very epic whilst at the same time contained and is just sumptuous.

But yes, I too have fell foul of the 'walking off an edge into my own death thinking I could' syndrome a couple of times...

My other gripe is too many races!

I agree with that. I'm rubbish at the races. I think I'm stuck on about 4 of them now.

If you're unsure, walk to the edge slowly until you either keep going 'round or you cling to the edge. That way you'll know.

Or just look out for the a black hole in the background. No black hole = no fall.

With the trapped Luigi stars; do you need to do them straight away? If I left them I was worried the game would end up skipping some as otherwise it'd have a load of "Luigi's got stuck" messages queued up. I'm sure Ninty wouldn't do that but I was wondering how the game would handle it.

You can wait. Your message board will be a bit of a mess if you do them all in one session.

I kind of ignored him most of the time up until 60 stars and have found it a bit of a pain since tbh. I feel like I'm always waiting/hoping that he'll send me a mail when I finish a star. I'd rather have done them as I went along (rather than the one I did before 60).
