.::: Didn't receive any yesterday. I'll check tonight. (Does the game track who sends you vouchers btw? And Alex W. send some! It'll be like Walexy points only real!)
when'd you send it? Didn't have anything last night when I looked.

I'll check when I get home tonight.

I sent them both a few nights ago, so they're probably lost in the ether... The wierd thing is that it tells me Cy has a save game profile, but that you don't Scott. Can you check on your friends list to see if I'm all blacked up in it.

.::: Might have to do with WiiConnect24-access for Corruption. It's so baffling you have to explicitly turn it on at the Extras menu... Doesn't make any sense.

In spite of over familiarity with the previous games - I mean it's just the same thing again. Really, shouldn't we be annoyed by that, on a console apparently twice as powerful as the original? - I'm finding this really rather enjoyable. I suppose it's because it was so damn well put together in the first place. Mind I've just got stuck for the first time, hope it's just a blip.

A word of warning for those who like tracking down all the items themselves, don't activate the Morph-Ball slots around the walls of the Observatory in Skytown (the circular room with lots of slots around the walls).

It marks the location of every item on your maps, with an indicator as to whether you've got it or not

.

At least I had got to 75% before doing it. I would say that's passable upgrade-hunting skill.

It has got progressively better for me from about an hour in, and exponentially so for the past 2-3 hours. It's reclaimed all those feelings of otherworldliness and the puzzles feel far more satisfying now. The further I get, the more the start of the game just seems to be tacked on; I hope it stays that way and keeps developing this sort of flow and atmosphere.

I've just had my first encounters with

you know what

and all the eeriness and isolation is back with a vengeance. Phew. And the design of the levels and the visuals is really getting into gear now.

8 - 8.5!

Did anyone else feel they hit something of a difficulty spike towards the end of the game ...

Just after the part in the Pirate Homeworld where you have to protect twelve soldiers and get four of them blast open a door for you. You end up in the transport room to the leviathan, which locks as soon as you enter it. The only way out is to defeat a bunch of teleporting space pirates in hypermode, including one hardcore pink-phazon overlord, and there are no containers to blast open for health. Each space pirate takes about one full energy tank to kill (in corruption mode), and they rarely leave any energy behind, so if you only have a couple of full energy tanks, you're pretty fucked. Looks like I'm going to have to quit and restart from my last save, forcing me to re-do the whole soldier-protecting section again. Ugh.

Still on Byyro and it just gets better and better. The design of this planet is so 'sci-fi'. Everything is so other worldy - with remnants of some ancient destroyed civilisation.

Also - taking out the cannons - especially the one where you need to pull the levers - was a great set-piece.

Yes, the beginning does feel a bit tacked on. It didn't bother me... but it's much better now. Controls have also completely clicked (I'm back to advanced) and I'll never tire of pulling away shields.

Is

Omega Ridley

the last boss? I'm assuming so, but I want to know whether I should go item hunting now or whether I've another chance.

No. You'll be told when you can't go back and do anything else.

I've got nine vouchers if anyone wants 'em. (UK/EU version)

I'm slightly annoyed that I didn't save the guy getting sucked into space right at the start. I'd be a shit space marine.

I've added you.

.::: Did you get mine?

[edit] Also apologies to those who have received my 'moment of terror'.

hahaha... that gave me a good LOL.

Must admit, I enabled the decals on mine and I think it's a good laugh. Samus' ship pulling up to a landing bay on Byyro with Mario face from my Super Paper Mario save on the side of it and a Triforce on top.

<_<
