Heres a thing - on GT, when you set up your car - you did it for speed really - it didn't matter because the races were so shit.

In this - buying kit makes a NOTICEABLE difference and not just speed - also very small tweaks to existing car set up make a huge difference and you can really feel it.

Just been messing around with my Wing West Civic and after a few upgrades and tweaks its fantastic. I've just raced 5 races and won every time, but thats the other thing that sets this apart from many other games.....you have to concentrate because one false move will end the game - no matter what your position.

And thats what cuts this above the likes of GT.

If Poly decide against crash damage in the GT5 game - i don't think i'll touch it - and that game is a massive system seller AFAIK.

Great fun last night though - i really felt under pressure with Pompey 88 in my rear view for most of that final 5 race series.

I've got a fantastic idea for a car design too - buts its a secret.

LIES!

The AI don't just leave mid-race to make a bacon sarnie. Also they don't just leave their car in the middle of the track, no sportsmanship at all!

You mean I'm not already? I'm upset. The Stratos is coming along nicely, no ridiculous bendy lines...

Best was the last lap on Laguna, on the corkscrew you shunt into me and take a big lead, start chatting away on the mic and completely fuck up the last corner, I drive past you as you coem back on to take the win. :(

I like the idea of tuning them to a certain class - perhaps just tune them up to as high as you can get them in C or B, nothing too ridiculous but enough room to sort it out your own way with your own mods.

What time?

In the interest of balance, the sound is still shite on this :( :( It does seem some sound better than others but as a rule the engine sounds are crap, i had the amp at 15 yesterday (at 15 in a film the house is shaking and i have neighbours complaining :( ) and the engines started to sound ok - esp my Lancia Delta thats been fully upgraded.

I'd agree with this, but I've found that upgrading the exhaust makes a huge improvement.

I'm jealous of the time you guys have spent on your designs - I'm too hooked to the racing to recreate my Samurai Jack Civic.

I'm trying to finish off all the Proving Ground events before trying anything else, but the last one's a bastard. There's one guy who's much, much faster than the rest of the pack and, though I can come second with ease, I just can't beat him on the second race. (And I only beat him in the first after a crash on the first corner that left him broken and me relatively unscathed.)
