This game is awesome. I was pretty bored of it to start with but then I turned off ABS, traction control, driving lines and made the damage simulation instead of arcade and it's like a completely different game. Ie, well good instead of boring.

And don't try to steer and brake at the same time, it REALLY punishes you for it in this game.

Anyone know if you can skip races where you've hired a driver? I don't wanna watch him thrash them all in my awesome Lancia Delta.

Me and my friend were thinking of getting a really crummy car, adding some crazy decal to it then passing it onto someone else on your friends list who would then do the same thing and pass it on again, if thats even possible? You could end up with the craziest looking car ever :P

After some scrimping and saving I've got 46,041CR to spend on a car. It needs to be American to get me in the American race and heavy enough for the heavyweight race in the proving grounds. So far I've found the Acura RL A-Spec, and the Cadillac CTS-V.

The Acura is a snip at about 14,000 but the Cadillac is pricey at 41,500 albeit slightly faster.

What do I do? Buy the cheaper car and upgrade or splash out on the expensive one and hope it's fast enough?

Noob here again...when you win a race and the prize money starts counting down, do you stop it at the level you want to gamble on winning the next race or something?

I'll take this one then!

No, it's just showing you the amount of cash you're receiving and how close you are to going up a level. You can press A to skip it.

From the Dashboard, go to Marketplace and then Redeem Code. Once they have 'downloaded', you can buy them from the relevant garage.

Does this work for whoever uses that xbox? i.e. If i input the code will my brother (on the same box) be able to buy the cars in his game?

 Yeah, sorry, I realised that eventually. Thanks.

Still haven't touched the online in any serious manner (besides I know I am shit so I want to be prepared in the best possible way.) Single player is marvelous though and it keeps on giving. How are you guys treating the tuning aspects of the game (not upgrading just tuning)? Do you do it? Does it have an impact on your strategy? How far do you go with it?

i'm shite at the tunning.

I'm tilting wheels back and forwards, up and down, making them thicker, thinner. God knows what i'm doing.

Are there any videos floating about to tell me what each tweak does.

Woo, i'm famous!

I have to point out that that crash was mental. I was drafting lilman and then he hit a corner.

on simulation damage it literally stoped him dead, (no bouncing of the tires etc) I promptly smashed in to the back of him as he went from 100mph to 0mph in 1 second.

a side note, this crash was experienced in different ways by everyone involved. I saw lilman fly 40 feet into the air, others crash views where less spectacular. Ill try and find the replay if I saved it and take a pic.

The game actuyally includes a lot on information on what each tweak does if you press the yellow button (I think) when in the settings screens.

It does have a mistake in it regarding damping- it recommends bump damping be set lower than rebound, but it should be the other way round.

The most useful tweak is toe-in and toe-out. If you have too much oversteer you need to make the front wheels point inwards. If you have too much understeer you need to make them point outwards.

Lowering the suspension lowers the centre of gravity which makes you go around corners faster. Having the back slightly higher than the front makes the car turn into the corner more easily.

When you start tuning it really shows just how good the handling and feel is in this game. I can change one thing by a few degrees, go for a drive and immediatley feel what that change did, more so than any other game, including PC sims

Yes. That much says it all for Forza 2.

Press 'Y' in the upgrades area and it tells you about what each part can do to affect performance, if you buy the racing version of the parts you'll see that in big green text it says that it's adjustable. With those parts installed you can go to the tuning page and alter other stuff there, there's another description for each variable there too, telling you what will happen to your car for each change you make.
