Are we now going to have 15 posts of Grand Theft Auto: Space, and the like?

Oh yes!

Give me GTA: Gotham. Starting as a small time schlub in over your head, doing missions for various notorious crooks and psychopaths. Get 4 stars and above and the signal goes on and you-know-who shows up to fuck you up. Mmmmmm.

It'd just be nice, y'know? Nice.

London is the only likely one, though. I forgot about GTA: London. London would be terrible.

Bring back the American GTAs!

Didn't we have this discussion last week?

I'd be pretty happy if they went back to the West Coast for the next GTA and just tightened up the city like they did with Liberty City.

Either that or a GTA: Caribbean

I think my favourite thing about San Andreas were the little hillbilly towns surrounded by hills, actually. The map as a whole might have been too big but they were ace. There's nothing wrong with having expanses to drive across, optionally. The taxi system they've put in would mean you wouldn't have to if you didn't want to. Travelling in San Andreas was a bit of a bitch sometimes.

As I've said before, I'd love some DLC San Andreas countryside, but I'm not sure that the motorbikes in 4 would work well in it. They've really sucked the fun out of the bikes.

I thought that at first, but I spent a couple of hours the other night just riding bikes around, finding places to do stunts and getting chased by the cops. They're pretty fucking awesome.

Sure, doing a jump will always be great, but the fact that you can't hit a car anymore doing max speed on a bike, be flipped spinning into the air, then land safely on top of another moving vehicle before wheelie-ing off into the hills anymore just isn't cricket.

Well, I can't anyway, and lord knows I've been trying.

This game is very annoying. I know a lot of people have posted about Snow Storm, but it reveals they STILL haven't sorted out the games main weakness. Any game which takes you from a cutscene to a middle of a battle is shockingly flawed. Any game which has segmented missions without segmented checkpoints is shockingly flawed. They haven't learned a thing.

You don't like it because it's more realistic?

I agree that its not as good as it could be (true it could be fixed very easily in some areas) but overall they seem to be learning. Things are getting better and Ive every faith that by GTA 10 itll all be good :(

Yes! More realistic doesn't necessarily equal more fun, and that's especially true of the bikes. I don't mind it with the cars - although how realistic it is that a BMW M3 will launch itself into space after hitting a disgarded coffee cup at speed is another question entirely.

GTA: Texas.

Please.

Mexican border towns, big shiny cities, swamps in the east, desert in the west.

Would be the best thing ever.

if they put a 'titty twister' in there too, i'm sold.

I'm pretty much certain, as I said earlier in the thread, that the DLC will be a new set of single player missions taking place in the same city. Probably with a new main character, and possibly some new assets (cars, bikes, TV, Radio etc.) Anyone expecting an entirely new city or region is most likely going to be disappointed (although I'd be happy to be proven wrong).

Is the Social Club website still shite, then? I linked it with my Gamertag when I got the game, but I was looking around it there, and it said I don't have the story missions completed (which I do), and when I click "link Gamertag", to see if it's still linked, I get an "unknown error has occurred". It was definitely linked at some stage, as two of my "Zits" are up there.

Fuck. Just did the Hostile Negotiations mission. Took bloody ages. Get to the end and Roman disappears (still on the map, but I can't see how he got out). He must have taken a different exit I didn't notice. No worries, I'll come out the way I came in, then drive round to wherever he is. Get outside the warehouse to my car and the game says 'Roman has been abandoned'. Mission failed.

As you exit the room Roman is being held in, there's a door immediately to your left coming off the walkway. Head down that way, and there's a truck at the bottom.

Cheers. Just been back and scoped it out before the mission started.

It was my own fault to an extent, as the game said 'follow Roman', but I just didn't see the fire escape exit. It could have give me a bit longer to find my bearings. Grrr.

I definetely reckon the DLC will be more along the lines of opening up more interiors and more single player missions rather than whole new areas. For example, I was really disappointed you couldn't go in the arcade in China Town :( I reckon it'll be stuff like that opening up with new arcade games or the fairground reopening. People expecting whole new cities are setting themselves up for disappointment.

I'll be chuffed if the DLC includes new missions aswell as loads of new, smaller things in the same city. I want new vehicles, weapons, interiors etc. oh, and I want to be able to get drunk and play pool in Free Mode online (why, oh, why, oh why is this not included from the start?)

Just had a made car chase but cant remember the name of the mission. it was somewhat prescripted (bus on the freeway blocking your path, girders in an alley making it a dead end, but nevertheless it was absolutely exhilirating. that is all.
