Fair, but! Have you tried using a usb keyboard? I used to keep one connected to my 360 at all times, way better for sending messages/etc. And as a general rule, any game which has an on-screen keyboard is required to accept input from a regular keyboard for text input.

We have a USB keyboard for our half broken laptop and it takes all of the pain out of sending messages, writing addresses etc. Writing anything with the pad makes me want to kill.

Guys. I just got the camera phone. Can I do anything with it? I take a pic...is it stored? How do I store it?

Halp! I'm stuck on "Dish Best Served Cold". Don't want to Gamefaqs it lest I spoil the story to fuck.

I got up to the bridge, where I operated some kind of lever. This showed a little cutscene where some covers opened... or something. But I've been stomping around the boat for five minutes now and I can't see where to go. I'm sure it's something easy.

I don't think you can store, but I may be wrong. I tried taking a pic of two guys on fire sat on a motorbike.

It was beautiful.

Yea it seems that you can't save them.

Utter balls.

Just done a great mission on Aldernay (hopefully this isn't a spoiler). Had to shoot up some blokes in a house, but the cops came in the middle of the shoot out. Not sure if their arrival was scripted (I suspect it was), or was just a natural side effect of the shoot out happening in a suburban area with lots of cops about.

Failed about 3 times as I presumed I had to kill everyone and then escape from the cops, but the cops were always on to me before I could kill everyone. Anyway - 4th attempt and this time the cops hear my very first shot and arrive before I even get into the house and kill anyone. Ok, so I have to try and lose the cops or I'm dead. I drive away, expecting to get a 'mission failed' message for driving so far away from the target house, but no, all my targets stay on the map! Lose the cops and come back and start again. Cops come back mid shoot out, so I nick a cop car and take off again. Still works! Ended up escaping from the cops and driving all around Aldernay about 3 or 4 times, each time coming back and killing a few more of my targets.

That was really good fun. Why couldn't the other missions keep my targets active when they were way off the radar too?

I got stuck there too and even went back to do the levers again because I thought I had done it wrong. Well its in the middle of the ship and the deck opens up as you get close.

Yeah, I got it now. I was just being exceptionally thick - the lids were flush with some walls and I just didn't see them. Oops!

Completed it now, too. Absolutely awesome stuff. The game took me from feeling like a nobody trying to scrape some money togther in a totally foreign city, barely even knowing my own cousin, to a big player who knew the city and made both friends and enemies following 50+ hours of laughs and scrapes. I couldn't care less that almost everything was scripted, it just doesn't matter when the charaters are this likeable and the majority of set-pieces are this good.

Can't wait for the DLC now.

:P

Quick question regarding the Liberty City Minute achievement.

I'm about 26.5 hours in on the

Pegorino's Pride

mission with all other story strands reading 100%. How many missions are left and how long do you think it'll take if I stick to the story?

Make another save (that you can go back to) and enjoy the rest of the game not worrying about achievements.

You need to escort Jimmy to a meet with another mafia family and take up a sniper position. When it goes bad you have to rescue Jimmy, he got killed on my first attempt so don't know what happens next

EDIT: Cheers Tyler, might just do that.

It's good that one. I managed to get the cops fighting the gang in the house while I watched somehow. A big pile of cops was stacking up by the front door, before I strode in unleashing shotgun hell. :P

Tell me there's a mission better than Three Leaf Clover. Please. No 'regular' mission is going to live up to that. Wow.

Utterly cool, but man am I glad I only had to retry it once: It's almost amusing that the best mission so far has the absolute fucking worst combination of drive-here-skip-this-cutscene-walk-here-watch-this-short-unskipable-cutscene-walk-here-NOW-you-can-shoot-things sections. Fuck off! Just let me get into the beautiful action sequence you've crafted for me!
