IIRC he stopped writing eons ago. Did an LP with Silver Bulllet as Outcast but thats all i recall. I didn't really like his sound but he inspired the likes of the Black dog (and Plaid i think) - the old Warp AI crew.

I really like the first one from the 4 minute mark until the acid noise comes in, it doesn't fit with the (very good) atmospherics.

Hmm.

The 303 runs from the start - it (the filter) opens as the song progresses. I was trying to do that slow filter opening thing most 303 tracks do, but over something slower. It gets quite harsh though...no doubt.

You may like this one...messing with different chords. The first set are quite errie and the second are more melodic (and deep house like) but seemed to work together in my ears...over a 4/4 plodding beat.

I'm not really sure if this is the right thread for this, but some of you will no doubt like it. It's a tune by eighties Kraut disco nuts Gine X Performance, which takes Jewish mourner's prayer the Kaddish as it's theme...and whips up something quite excellent. Enjoy!

The music from the album (Bytes) was produced under a number of different names, such as Close Up Over, Xeper, Atypic, I.A.O., Balil, Plaid, and the Discordian Popes. The original members were Ken Downie, Ed Handley and Andy Turner.

Albums under original line-up:

1993 Bytes (as Black Dog Productions)

1993 Temple of Transparent Balls (as The Black Dog)

1995 Spanners (as The Black Dog)

Then Ed & Andy decided to go alone as Plaid, and Ken carried on as The Black Dog with Martin Dust and Richard Dust.
