Bought F.E.A.R on a whim the other night and gave it a blast today. It's rather bloody good! Great atmosphere and I jumped at an early bit in the game!

FEAR 1 is absolutely excellent, and the atmosphere is really unique - I can't think of another game that made me feel quite so like the apocalypse was round the corner. It also has the best shotgun ever.

@Jambo - Dragon Age on PC is 100x better than on console. It's like a different game. It looks like arse on consoles anyway so even if you wind the graphics down on your PC it'll still prolly look better and play MUCH better.

Bought on that basis. But, I should get the fiver back in trade for the 360 game and expansion pack. So it doesn't really add to the total, right?

EDIT: although I'll need to add the cost of a coffee or two when I head to a cafe with decent wifi to download the 20Gb.

Just played through FEAR on 360 and really enjoyed it. It's got a good Half Life style vibe to it. Currently playing the second which is also excellent. Heard some very negative things about F3ear though, not least that silly title.

Having a nightmare trying to get The Walking Dead to work.

- It doesn't launch at all unless I change the compatibility mode in the EXE properties

- It flicks between the mouse and 360 controls randomly, as if my mouse is disconnecting

- I can navigate through the menus, but can't save or commit changes

- The one time I did change the video settings and get it to load full screen it was choppy (stuttery video, and crackling sound)

- But the next time I loaded toe game, it had forgotten my video settings

I have up to date sound and video drivers, so not sure what the issue could be. Any ideas?

What's the verdict on Tiny and Big?

Short (although I've not actually finished it yet) but it looks amazing, it's fun to play about with and it looks amazing. AMAZING.

Whole-hearted recommendation from me.

(And I pre-ordered it, with soundtrack, based on the beta rather than sale buying).

Having absolutely loved FEAR and liked FEAR 2, I got around to buying the third one when it was on sale at some download site or other, and I managed about two hours of it before getting rid. It's utterly bland. I generally get on well with mediocre shooters, but it did nothing for me.

Everyone should vote for The Longest Journey in this morning's Community Choice. I can highly recommend it, one of the best adventure games I've ever played.

You will need to play around in one of the config files to remove 3D acceleration though if it's buggy with your machine. Makes everyone look like they have ugly tatoos.

I played through it in software mode and still loved it.

Btw can anyone with a spare steam vote please put it towards helping me get shogun 2 with 75% off? Ta :)

Erm, I went to do that but after I logged in the page changed the order of the choices and I clicked on Dead Island before I noticed - sorry

Watch it win by one vote now.

Done.

Yep just added them to my list of shame

Added them to the cart then remembered I've finished both of them in the past and have too much backlog to play them again. Finally. I've actually thought a purchase through in this sale!

Yes, to the guy asking about tiny and big, it's great, I made a gushing wanky post saying how much I wanted to tongue it's bumhole earlier in the thread but I can't find it.

The gist was looks lovely, perfect controls, great engine, great fun, bit short, naff "boss fights".

Damn you! Watched the trailer and fell in love with the look and the music. Done.

Has anyone played Eye Divine Cybermancy? For £1.49 it looks like it might be worth a punt and I've a vague recollection of someone on here writing a review calling it interesting but flawed.

I haven't played it since it had a massive patch, but I'd say it's totally worth it at that price. It tries to do a lot of things, and it doesn't always pull it off, but it's a really interesting game.

Shogun has been on a few times already and every time it is my hand hovers over the buy icon, I'm not sure I can resist if it goes on sale again. I did pick up Dragon Age ultimate though, £5 was good value for all the DLC I don't have.

Jeez, not only did I buy Railworks 3 when it was 95% off, but I'm actually really enjoying it. There's more to driving trains than I realised! DAMN YOU STEAM.

You're on a dangerous slope, it'll be Farming Simulator 2011 next!

I... really like Railworks too.

I'm not going down that DLC hole though.

Yeah, it's a bit excessive to say the least  There seems to be tons of free addons on various fan sites to sate any mad DLC desires anyway.

Funnily enough, dangerous slopes are part of the fun! Trying to keep a massive freight train under 30 MPH on a twisty downhill run in California...
