Clippa, I think, said it was a shit port. Someone said that NFS was a shitter port...Or something. Few pages back.

I didn't like the NFS port, because it didn't seem as good at 1080p as I remembered it.

Driver's a perfectly fine port. Clippa probably has FOV issues that the majority of us wouldn't notice.

Just to check - if I buy a game as a gift it sits in like an inventory indefinately until I gift it?

Someone wants Civ5 but doesn't have their new gaming PC yet - and it might be a few weeks.

Should be fine. I have had games in my inventory for months.

Morrowind GOTY is tempting but I do have retail discs still lying around somewhere if I feel the urge to go back in the Elder Scrolls timeline. (Which translates as I'll probably decide to buy it again anyway rather than looking in the garage for the boxes. Steam is just too easy.)

Anyone had this? Looked at the Steam mobile app previously and saw there was no option for Paypal. Then yesteday I tried to buy Burnout Paradise through the app and the option was there. However, when I backed out the cart page for something else, it had gone again. What's up with that?

There's nothing quite like the feel of good old fashioned cds. Well, okay, they don't have the allure of old books or vinyl but I've spent enough in this sale without doubling up. Installing Bloodlines now whilst sat in a cafe with fast wifi. Most recent patch didn't seem to download properly so I've gone for the version before that. Will certainly play differently to the original release anyway.

Titan Attacks is pretty fucking good isn't it?

Yep. It rocks. I can't stop bunging it on even though I really want to play some of the more expensive games I bought.

Weird, earlymodernsteve found me! I wonder if I've accidentally changed a setting... I just joined the rllmuk group, could you find me from that?

Edit - Oh, hang on, my profile name is my real name, I just found myself searching for that. I assumed my account name would be what people would search for. I don't know how this works. Seems odd you can't use lainemithra to find me, I just changed my profile name to lainemithra and I can't find myself! :(

Hrmmm. Anyone else having freezing issues with Driver: SF?

It's even freezing momentarily (about 2 seconds at a time) on the menu screens! :(

Yes, me! Cutscene, in-game, menu, 2 second freeze every 30 seconds or so. It's very odd. About to look for a fix now.

Posters in Neogaf were reporting the same thing, apparently the fix is to block Driver.exe with your firewall, i think it's the Ubisoft online stuff that's slowing it down
