You see i'm struggling to see the issue here with doing Naxx at 70. Groups still do ZG and AQ20 even if they're running the bigger instances and the same situation exists there where they're running through it with better gear than is available in that instance. There has never been anything I wanted in ZG for korhill but that hasn't stopped me making countless runs there because...and I know this is an alien concept...but I find it a fun and interesting place to go. The fights in Naxx sound similar.

As I say, if it's a walkthrough then if anything that would be a disappointment to me but i'd still try and go through just to see it all. If it's still a challenge then I still don't see the issue and it would be fun fighting through with the least number of people you can get away with.

You're right about the fun factor but I don't think that's purely why Zul'Gurub remains popular. It's a nice instance and fun to do but it's also not too challenging and offers things like the head, legs, shoulder and NR enchants that people want to use every time they upgrade their kit and provides an easy source of gold, something you can't really say about Naxxramas, bar slogging through xx bosses flawlessly for a couple of Sapphiron enchants.

There is no issue with going there at 70, how could there be? As long as we all have fun, that's all that matters but that said I'd imagine the thrill of the new and exploring the joys of Outland would be highest on most people's agenda.

Do you genuinely think people are going to setup regular AQ runs post TBC?

To clarify the whole 'deal' with Naxx - you need both good gear AND good raid coordination to get anywhere in there - even with level 70 gear, sloppy and unfocussed players will wipe you easily.

There's also a BIG difference between PUGing an instance (making up 40 people from an LFG/Forum Post) and taking a few PUG members with an established raid group.

Yes, people take PUGs to BWL - we do it - however unlike MC, we take cash deposits from players against their stupidity wiping the raid (and costing us a bomb in repairs) and we pick and choose who we take based on reputation, class, gear and other factors - and we charge a LOT for the drops too - all of which eliminates most eejits before we even enter...

Doing the same with Naxx - even with better geared/more experienced players - would be MUCH harder as the challenges in there tend to require EVERYONE to be focussed and aware of what's going on - something it would be hard to do with 'randoms'.

So - if you're dreaming of getting to Level 70 and gathering up a couple of 25-man raidgroups into a 40 man group to take on KT - you're still gonna have to spend a few weeks wiping and learning I'm afraid...

I for one couldn't affort to take any drops if I went on one of your pugs. Well, maybe one but it would bankrupt me. Do you get people going back on repeat runs? Have to wonder where they get they're gold from it thats the case.

A couple of guildies have been to BWL with you (a rogue and a dw warrior). Both picked up a CTS which gives them by some considerable way the highest 1h dps weapons in the guild. The rogue still doesn't make much of an appearance on the meters and the warrior dies constantly because he can't manage his agro. /sigh

We've asked guild members not to go on them now.

I've always assumed that most people are paying using their Guild's money - e.g. they're MTs getting better gear or whatever tbh.

The sums involved aren't ungettable if you're a hardcore farmer (or play the AH well) tho - but I don't think the rewards are worth the time it takes to earn to cash personally...

Hey ho - it pays our consumables and repair bills!!

900g? Jinkies. If they have money to burn then sure but anyone who bankrupts themselves paying that now is extremely shortsighted. I'd rather wait 6 weeks, put the 900g towards that pesky flying mount and pickup a [Massive Big Fucking Decapitator Doodah of the Bear] a couple of hours into Outland.

Same, but not before getting some PvP goodies :(

Know where the torrent file is stored? cos i cant find it :S

I'm talking about the Burning Crusade Beta client btw. Not the patch

It's not stored anywhere, you need to use WoWTorrentEx (here) to extract the torrent from the .exe. You'll have 4 more patches after you've got the first client file for about 600MB, so it's definitely worth doing :(

okay, those recoloured Tier2 outfits we saw last week ARE in the game. i saw a hunter wearing recoloured dragonstalker shoulder pads

hunter.jpg

those infact. they were level 70 BLUE items. socketed probably from some instance or other. so i say that these are infact real.

Latest Beta build has the Felguard doing about 10dps less than he was before, Soul Link's damage taken split reduced from 30% to 20% and the briefly useful new rank of Curse of Weakness changed to reduce 300 attack power or something - warlocks have been nerfed at last so stop crying, lusers!

Lets gloss over the fact that Shadowfury has been dropped from a 60 second cooldown to a 20 second one; that Soul Link goes up from giving 3% damage to 5%; that Amplify Curse appears to work with Curse of Doom now or that Seed of Corruption looks batshit fucking mental insane in damage terms, with the screen filling with numbers ranging from 1100-2200 per target.

*cough*
