I'll upload the Planet Rock remix i did.....i used it on an electro mix i did last year in some effort to make it more sinister.

Still uses a reprogrammed 808 but its a bit harder and i've decayed the vocals a bit.

Production is not great....i just wanted to come up to Gique's standard (and failed).

I'm guessing you have Product Placement by Shadow & Cut Chemist too. Is that the sort of stuff you are after or are you looking to venture away from the hip-hop sound and into more techno territory? I had a listen to the DJ Skurge track that moodymann uploaded, a bit dull in my opinion. There is far more funky electro & techno out there. Check out some samples of Plus Device and Drexciya. If you like that kinda thing I can upload a couple of other bits and pieces.

Oh, what do you folk make of this Kavinsky dude been getting all the hype? I'm feeling it. The artwork and the stupid myth going along with it is all great, too.

Some very nice tracks there. Signalrunners and Moscow Morning are some personal favourites.

That's the best mix on the Ep i reckon. I'm loving this whole new Justice/Kavinsky/Sebastian Ed banger style stuff at the moment. About the only 'new' sound i've heard recently that i like. Anymore recommendations along the whole Waters of Nazareth / Ross Ross Ross style would be appreciated!

Heh. Luckily I still had it all at 320, so I've just redone it at 192 and I'm uploading it now. Not had a chance to check whether this one skips, but I'll link it here when it's up and you can all let me know.

I can't get enough of it either. Basically anything on Ed Banger/Kitsune

Got a nice positive feel this mix, given that we're heading into summer. Starts off with the house-y Light The Skies, before moving into a couple of electro-fluff tracks, and then it trances it up with Russ James. Nova is the highlight of the mix - confident and beautiful trance, and probably the best track I've heard this year so far. Nova is followed by two tracks that remind of the kind of trance that got me into dance music in the first place, and then it ends with the quirky Discover, which refuses to fit neatly inside any genre-box.

Hopefully this one doesn't jump about. Bloody illegally downloaded software! Let me know, anyway.

Today I present you with some sweet sunshine music - broken beats and smooth, jazzy house from back in 2001. One of my favourite mix albums and it came free with a magazine! Don't be put off by the Hed Kandi name, this was released long before they became a MoS cash-cow churning out endless commercial house compilations. The sleeve suggests listening while horizontal and I quite agree. Panyard's opener "In The Sand" and Stephanie Cooke's "Here With My Best Friend" are both really great songs.

Sorry, I probably won't listen to it. I try not to listen to anything more than individual tracks on rllmuk for time reasons - there's just too much stuff.
