All rights reversed with the Klaxons is pretty much amazing !

As a self-admitted Klaxons whore I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks this. For me it's the stand out track behind the previous single Do It Again and the already released-in-battle-weapon-form Saturate.

Today I have been mostly digging that Tracey Thorn tune - It's All True. The video is ace, so is the normal version, the instrumental and the Martin Buttrich remixes. I listened to some clips from her album though and it didn't sound so good ;)

I could really do with some more of this jazz/house stuff. More jazz with a hint of house than 'jazzy house', as there's loads of that about and it's usually not that great. The closest sort of thing I have to it are albums from St. Germain, Koop and Nuyorican Soul. I also have some of the early Paris Saint Germain des pres Cafe compilations which are quite nice. Any recommendations?

Yeah, St Germain is the first name that comes to mind. East West Connection on Chilli Funk records have done a couple of good albums and when the Nuphonic label was still going they had some good stuff. A lot of groups like Blaze dabble in jazz, but like you say, a lot of it is jazzed up House rather than visa versa.

Here's a couple of jazz house tracks that I think are above par...

No Tenshun - Live Catina

Kerri Chandler & Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell - Escravos De Jo (Robust Horns Mix)

...and here's the original latin jazzers Azymuth doing a bit of house on their 1998 album Woodland Warrior (this took me ages to find a few years ago)

Azymuth - The Quest?

hope you like em.

I was listening to Last.fm earlier and heard a song by the Boom Boom Satellites called On The Painted Desert.

I really, really, really, REALLY like this. It's old, 1999 i think, but i can't get enough of this song.

Crank up the volume and the bass and just fucking enjoy

Was it the instrumental or the vocal version? I had the instrumental for years on one of their albums and only found the vocal later. Both versions are fantastic though.
