The music and sound fx in this game is just incredible, played for an hour last night with my Gold wireless headset and I was in sci-fi heaven  Apparently Bungie are working on a preset mode for the Gold's as well, so it should only get better!

Just to update on this, the Destiny preset is now available in the headset companion. :)

Odd, just noticed I did not get a code for the Game exclusive Sparrow. I'm assuming I was supposed to have got one printed either on my receipt (which it isnt) or some form of pamphlet in the game box (which isnt there). Has anyone who's pre-ordered from Game got their Sparrow or some form of code?

Wouldn't surprise me if Game screwed up my pre-order and there's no chance of me getting it, but its no loss as you can get better in game anyway.

Mine came via email yesterday.

Cheers, and you just see other people in it occasionally?

Thats exactly how it worked in the Alpha/Beta. Basically each planet has a variety of missions to chose from. Off the top of my head there are story missions and exploration missions both of which you can play solo, but you may see other people in the world. Or there are strikes and raids which you need to team up people. Strikes have matchmaking whilst raids dont.

There is also the crucible which is basically player vs plater deathmatch etc.

So it doesn't always involve others?

It always does. You see other players all the time, you can join in with them, or ignore them. Some missions require fireteams (co op play) and the game will match you up with randoms for those if you don't team up with other people yourself. You can invite anyone into your fireteam by rightclicking the stick, and vice versa. It's slick as anything. The online aspect is seamlessly intergrated leaving it to the player to get as involved as they choose.

COME ON TESCO!

It's really pretty straightforward. If I can understand it anyone can! The UI/menu is really intuitive.

I found it a bit weird using a cursor, and I didnt quite understand the hub. Ive massively underestimated it though, seems to be a huge hit.

There's been a distinct lack of games recently so a lot of people are desperate for something new and shiny to play - myself included :D I couldn't resist it for £35 from Tesco so I'll give it a shot too. The launch hype always wins.

Definitely the only reason everyone is excited to play it.

Can I play destiny alone? Yes

Do I need to be always online? Yes

Will I see other people? Yes

Do I have to play with them? No

Can I do everything in the game on my own? No. There is a lot of content centred around being in a group and playing with others.

Is it like Halo/Borderlands/an MMO? Sort of.

This needs to be posted again I feel.

Presumably if you want to play the game as though it's single player you still can't pause as there are others playing in your instance. Is that right?
