They won't be top level weapons though, just higher than starting ones. Right?

The pre-order stuff has damage levels in the low 60s (high-end level 8 stuff), with the highest stuff (viewable in the shops in the beta) appear to be around a whopping 358 (which needs the player to be at level 20).

Man, wish this was up tonight as i have some time!

Anyone else have issues with the frame rate, not dropping out but it get odd eye strain with it? It seems pretty solid 30 but something about it plays with my eyes :(

According to Digital Foundry (and confirmed by a Bungie developer), there is a bug with the engine that means it gives a consistent 30fps, but that sometimes a single frame remains on screen for too long, so that you get a weird juddering effect.

Bungie have said it might be fixed by the final release, but no promises.

I've found the frame rate pretty much rock solid on PS3 bar the very rare occasion when it comes to a complete hault, but tbey really are rare. Considering what the game is handling it's an astonishing achievement. It really is the full experience rather than an Ubisoft rush job. Bungie handling every version themselves in one team certainly helps.
