I thought this weeks episode was brilliant as well, mind it did get a bit funny when they all started dancing. I wonder if Rita is actually going to end up killing her husband before Dexter does.

This week:

Roody need to masquerade as a TV repair man and ultimately for someone who is an incredibly tidy killer, it seemed quite ridiculous to go back to where he had met one of the locals. Which leads me to my final rant, the part where Dexter drives off as the old dear calls out to him, very cliché and not something that the program had till then sunk to.

I don't think it's that far fetched because if you think about it, he would have needed to know more about his dad and his movements so who better to ask than a neighbour, especially one I doubt he would have thought would remember him because she didn't seem all there.

It's probably the same reason why Dexter just drove off, she seemed mental

Possibly, but then incredibly risky to then return there with Dexter, don't you think? All along we've been led to believe the ice truck killer is very meticulous, thorough, cunning etc etc then he seemingly just drops the ball this episode in the most stupid of ways. Like I say, really didn't like how they handled the end with Dex missing what would of been the big reveal care of the old lady, I don't disagree that under the circumstances he would have just drove off, ignoring her, but it just felt like a cheap moment.

Regardless of the rest of the episode I really loved the packing bit where the two killers were constantly using blades and rope.

Yeah that's where I thought Dex was going to click, spotting the records were tied with ribbon the same way the Ice Truck killer did the doll and body parts.

I was loling at this weeks ep though, just the thought of a weekend away with 2 serial killers was humorous enough for me.

Just caught up with 8 and 9. Liked them both. Was that an instrumental of "Hurt" which played 2 or 3 times in 9?

I didn't think the dancing was odd at all. Rudy knows Dexter and knows about his feelings, or lack thereof. So I can see why he may have engineered an awkward situation for his nemesis.

Was a little disappointed by the bit with the old lady. With 3 episodes left, I thought something interesting could have come of Dexter finding out about Rudy.

Very dark this week, setting up nicely for the last couple of episodes.

Angel! Please say he lives, he's one of the best characters in anything for... ages, really. No idea what the Chiefa Police is planning. He seems like a bit of a shit, all told, could be something quite nasty for Maria.

I'm afraid to click on any of those spoilers in case they relate to the books rather than the current episode. But I enjoyed this week's a lot (though it doesn't seem right to see Dexter fazed) - they're moving the plot at a good speed, it would have been maddening if they'd revealed his identity earlier on and let the audience have one up on Dexter for most of the episodes. Instead, as I say, it feels disorienting to see Dexter lose control of what's going on, and that makes the Ice Truck Killer a much more potent villain. Great stuff.
