Wiper, Im doing your cd now love ok and I'll post it first thing. On it are bascially some of my faves*, hopefully you will like some of them and not shudder too much :)

*I really dont have the strange crazy stuff that some of the forumites have so theres a good chance you will know most of them.

Wonder who is doing mine, because I haven't received one yet? :)

Not me poppet. But I'd love the tracklisting for from you. I knew depeche mode and thought ace!! Then I was a bit lost for the rest of the cd :huh:

Exidor, listened to your cd this afternoon whilst doing some work. It was all rather nice even if nothing particularly stood out. I got the track details from the cd text but if you wanna post up a tracklist for everybody elses benefit I'll try and leave some more detailed feedback after another listen or two. Thanks.

Cheers petal :) Not wishing to offend but where does everyone come up with all the strange and bizarre tracks? I havent a clue. This is why I stopped partaking a year ago becuase I just didnt have the weird and wonderful that everyone else has. However I do like recieving the odd weird stuff :huh:

It's from years of listening to the John Peel show, at least for me. I'm really looking forward to your feedback now :)

A few of the other bands on that list can quickly be picked up by doing 'similar artist' searches on things like last.fm. You should sign up. The rest if just crazy and old.

It may have to be next w/e, I have my final state exam on Thursday so I'll be cramming everything there is to know about lab medicine this week.

I can't speak for everyone of course but I got in to Hot Chip, Nouvelle Vague, Ladytron and Cocteau Twins from this 'ere forum. I do like the stuff i get, I especially loved one cd from biggerbob this time last year, although Ive had some stuff thast made me cringe :)

Yes, listening to John Peel for nigh on 20 years, downloading anything for the hell of it and giving it a listen, having a bunch of great friends who are always going "check this out, it's ace", basically just taking any opportunity to check stuff out. After a while it starts to come together in your brain, "joining the dots" as Gilles Peterson likes to say. It's a bit of an obsession with me, most probably at the expense of some other aspects of my life.

Same here, though I've had the Mix CD complete for a while - just need to get around to burning and sending it, which is taking far longer than is excusable :)

I’ve been a right slack bastard this month, I’ve got the tracks all in a folder but no idea what order they need to go in. Besides it’s the xmas break this month anyways so that’s an acceptable excuse for a late CD ;)

I may have to do an extra xmas bonus CD while I’m at it actually… be patient Mr Jimmy it will be with you before you know it!

P.S I still aint got my CD!

P.P.S I don't suppose anyone has a copy of 'Ratpack - Searchin' For My Rizla' to send me do they? I cant find it for the life of me! (don't worry Jimmy it's not going no your CD!)

Thanks again - I'm seriously digging this still. I cannot BELIEVE i messed up the Chubb Rock preiction. I love Chubb. 1990 chubb rock jumps upon the scene with a lean and a pocket full of green. still - i kinda made up for it with the Premier/Freddie track guess. never heard that before but was very much liking it.

Exidor - your CD's done. Should be posted tomorrow hopefully, or at least by Thursday ( I'm just checking it through now ). I've listened to the one sent to me and like it a lot, track 3 and the last are possible favourites although I might get a bit snobbish (sp?) about some of the rap sections, I should have listened to it properly on Thursday and aim to post feedback then.
