November CD Mix Club

Nice that I've heard of most of those, even if I didn't know the tracks. Been meaning to find some Fluke recently actually... used to love Atom Bomb...

Well Puppy's really good, I had it on in the car again this morning. I like Risotto too but I think Puppy is better.

Funnily enough, the first all-nighter I ever went to was a New Year event at Alexandra Palace (either 1997 or 1998) and apart from thinking the Chemical Brothers were shite as DJs, the only memory of it that's really stuck with me is of being in the massive main room with Fluke playing Absurd. Has been one of my favourite tracks ever since.

Hey SandraRichards, any chance of some feedback please. I've already gone without any, with my October mix :P

Terribly sorry luv, had a manic time here with family in hosp and viva exam etc etc. Also I cant remember if you did post a tracklist or not...I have it on now.

1- Oh yeah I love a bit of Depeche Mode. People are people. Brilliant. I love the video to this asweel.

2- I like this one, thats Bernard Sumner is it? So is this with Eletronic?

3- Mmm yeah I like the intro, reminds me of the Sugar cubes, and Birthday. Could this be sigor ros? Dunno who it is, but its nice.

4- Cripes, I dont like this one, its too busy and a bit irritating to listen to. Sorry. Although I did like the bit at about 2.20 mins, it calmed a bit and was quite good.

5- This was quite funky in a Stock, Aitken and Waterman 80's Pet shops boys sort of feel. Couldnt play it for long though.

6- OHHH I like this intro!! edit: Whats this forrin muck??? Almost like a French Garbage. Or even a Romanian Aqua. What year was this entered for??

7- God is this Celine Dion in French? WTF are you trying to do to me?? Edit: hmm not bad once she gets going..quite nice in fact in a Berlin Take my breath away sort of way.

8- Shit the bed. This is the best track so far. Yup I iz a-liking this.

9- Gosh this has a very haunted Silent Hill graveyard sort of feel to it....spooky.

10- Not too sure about this one, is it souxsie (sp) and the banshee's or something?

11- haha I love this version of Silent Night. Very good.

All on all, not to bad, some iffy tunes here and there, but I liked it. Thanks Mr Do :(

Also to Wiper, I am a shitehawk, your cd is in my sons stereo, when he falls asleep I will sneak in and get it and sent it tomorrow. SO sorry.

Cosmic_Guru - humblest of apologies, I only managed to send the CD today... well, when I say 'managed' I mean 'remembered' - the CD has travelled everywhere with me for the last few weeks, including a nice trip to London, around Portobello Road and then back home [swansea] again, all the while with me remembering it needed posting only too late.

This time, however, I remembered. Hope you like it, after all my faffing about!

No problems, I look forward to receiving it - wonder whose'll arrive first, yours or mine?

Am I the only person who thinks Wiper is Dutch? Why do I think this?

Well, I definitely don't think I am. And Xibxang thought I was French, for some reason. No idea why.

Still, it's better than when people used to think I was a girl, I guess (in terms of embarrassing explanations, that is, not in a "I may be Dutch/French but thank god I'm not a girl" sense).

1. Some Biggie mashup. I'm gonna be walking around all weekend shouting "Kick in the door, waving the .44" it's great stuff anyway. Quality intro.

2. COME WIT IT NOW!!! Not listened to this track in a while due to how crap so much of Evil Empire was but I've always bloody loved this track.

3. A very Common-esque Hip Hop track. Inclined to say Lupe Fiasco? Quite nice anyways.

4. Never heard this, it's bloody lovely though.

5. Ash - Goldfinger. It's like the soundtrack of my youth, every third track :(

6. Amy Winehouse. I've never really given her the chance she maybe deserves. I bloody love Rehab. This the new record?

7. Stranglers - Golden Brown. Instrumental version. It's like a Zelda theme tune take on the pains of Heroin :( There's some great guitar in there I've never noticed before.

8. Talib Kweli right? Think I've had this song before. Very nice. The two vocalists go together brilliantly.

9. It's the Beastie Boys - Crawlspace, but not as I know it. Another great remix. Where the hell do people find these tracks? See so many remixes listed in the mix clubs and stuff but I must have about five of them total in my collection.

10. Guided by Voices - Teenage FBI. From the Buffy series 2 soundtrack! :( Actually, not the same version. The one I have is a bit better - sound much 'bigger'. You're welcome to it if you want it, oh mystery sender.

11. Busta Wwwwhymes. I've never liked the way he has to put something on the end of every line. This tracks one of the worst culprits for it. Still, pretty good and Extinction Level Event was actually a decent album. Bring back the dreds and mentalistness I say.

I've missed one somewhere haven't I, lol. The second instrumental track, I skipped it, soz :(

13. Back in Black. Why the fuck isn't this on Guitar Hero 2! Haha.

ACE album, as usual!
