A thread for PS3 owners Here

It saddens me to my core that only two people in this thread have Everyday Shooter. $9.99, what's that, a fiver? It's lovely, and is suitably different from the Super Stardusts and Blast Factors of this world. Its closest cousin is Every Extend, made with Kenta Cho's art design and some obvious Rez influences. The 8 way (instead of analogue) firing takes some getting used to, as does the underlying way to score changes in every level. Some are obvious, some take a bit of working out.

The biggest complement is, as soon as it was downloaded and I fired it up, my girlfriend walked in and asked if I was listening to the new Underworld album.

I mentioned this before in this thread after buying PixelJunk Racers, but I have used a non-US card to buy from the US store. I only have a credit card registered to my master AU account, skipping the credit card section when setting up a US one. When I'm asked to add money to my wallet, it adds it to the master account. ANyone having trouble should try this.

It sounds crazy, and it is, but i like my games in physical format. Not something on my hard drive (and a small 20gb hard drive at that). If this was released in the shops, i'd pay as much as £15 for it.

I'm sure my opinion will change when more great PSN games are released, but give me a bloody disc, box, and instructions, just like i've been used to for the last two decades. As you can tell, I don't like modernization.

I will try and buy it this way, if i have some £ loaded should it work or would i need to load some $ from my US login. As a side note the main reason people dont have it is sonys fault - release it on the utterly useles and empty UK psn and im sure many more would have it.

I am the smae for music and films, however having Warhawk on the HDD and ready to play whenever i want is very good, i actually wish Sony would release more games this way or at least allow you to install the game to the HDD

Plus it's something like a 45mb download so your 20gb hdd is pretty safe.

I've tried buying Es a lot! Even registered on Wirecard to see if I can pay that way. There's only one way it's gonna work I reckon. SPE, PM me your bank account details!

Hey SPE: I reckon a lot more people would probably buy and play these things if they bothered to release them to us. If you're an EU Store user, you're so far behind what the rest of the world gets, and for no good reason other than translation. PixelJunk, Everyday Shooter, that Tekken online patch, the extra levels for Blast Factor - it's shit.

Yeah, it's blatantly Sony's lack of divisional unity at work again. I really don't know what to make of them as a company. Is the massive disparity between SCEI, SCEA and SCEE due to strategic planning based on in depth market research? Or is it due to petty political infighting, or simply plan old incompetence? The second one is my bet. There makes no sense at all for SCEE stuff like Singstar to have never made the journey to the US or Japan. In the same way, while I can understand them milking Europe dry with high hardware costs, as historically we've paid a lot more, there is no obvious economic benefit for the Euro PSN to be so thread bare. I get the feeling that Kutaragi , Harrison and Kaz Hirai all had very different ideas about the PS3, and since Kutaragi stepped down, there is no single direction each part of SCE is heading down.

Does anyone know how big LocoRoco is?

256mb.

I got my ps3 today, but the games haven't arrived yet. Is there anything I can do with it other than the PlaystationStore? Is HOME out yet?

Home isn't out. Beta due in November I think. Why not buy Warhawk on PSN? It's awesome. Or Super Stardust HD is a fiver if you don't wanna spend much.

In other news i went on Warhawk, joined a 29/32 server, 2 mins later and couldnt join so thought same old shit. Joined another server got on and had a riot playing :P :P

I usually go for around 16/32 servers, and it soon fills up with other players a few mins after you join. That way i never have that annoying wait, to be told you can't join the server.

Pretty rare to have the official servers that empty tho, my issue with it is that it shouldnt happen. They should have a proper queing system like pc online games had 5 years ago. The actual game is so bloody good but the front end is shite !

A question, if you get the US version of singstar will you be able to buy songs from the UK shop ?

Yeah i totally agree. I should have added that I go on the official USA servers at day, and official European servers after 12am.

Not a PC gamer then? Digital downloads is the future and once you make that leap you'll wonder why you ever cared for that physical junk.

I am the opposite, i used to download, but buy them now. I'm a collector first, gamer second. I would have downloaded games illegally for years now otherwise.

Get Gran Turismo Concept HD or whatever it's called, it's free and pretty fun for what it is. Or buy Tekken 5 for £5.99, which is great. Of all the demo's I've played I've enjoyed The Darkness the most.

I'm getting the impression that Sony is now run by lawyers who seem intent on strangling the company with legislative issues. Why is it necessary, for example, to accept Warhawk's terms & conditions evertime I play? Or with every update, or download? I've never had to do it on the Live.

I bet it's also the reason for dragging their heals with these other issues.

This is indeed silly, esp as you cant acept until its loaded the page, i sit there clicking the button whilst cursing Sony some more :(

Been on Warhawk for hours, it truly is a great game but it really is a shame its on the PS3 - the pad is awful, trying to drive a tank whilst moving the turret and shooting requires some disclocation of fingers before its confortable. The wiblly wobbly sticks are just about ok but i cant help feeling it would be much better on the 360 pad, or even a jaguar pad ;)
