...hold it - you mean this adapter makes your PS2-pad actually rumble when you play PS2 games on your PAL machine? A few months back re: BC there was a discussion about various adaptors and none seemed to work in this way.

But yours actually does?

Nope, no rumble, sorry. It works fine as in it makes a PS2 pad work like a PS3 pad.

I'm pretty sure the Game branded PS2>USB adaptor I picked up for a tenner (in Game, surprisingly enough!) a while back enables rumble - seem to recall trying Amplitude and although the rumble seemed a little weaker than playing it directly on a PS2, it was definitely there.

Unless I just had the bass turned up too loud.

Not having much fun with Warhawk. Killed in the opening minutes of each game.

Do people from this board play? If so, when and how?

I got it yesterday and I found it tough. I'm starting to get some kills in the plane now. I had about half an hour on it earlier and managed to get about 8 kills, which from yesterday's zero is fantastic.

I switched the stick controls around for the plane and it worked wonders. The game is good fun but it handles very oddly.

On another topic, is there a reason we haven't got the same stuff in the store as US accounts? R&C for instance. Has SCEE given a reason for this? Pretty insulting if you ask me, Marketplace really beats it in this area.

The reason why America get most things before us is because they only have one store which needs updating whereas contries in the EU all have seperate stores, so it takes more time and effort to manually update each one. This and licensing has to do with it.

However, I'm not phased by it as I can download all the demo's and purchase downloadable games from the US store just like the yanks do.

Wow. Warhawk is sounding ace.

It is ace. I think it's just that a lot of the people on this board have just started playing whereas a lot of people in the servers have been playing the game since it was first released and most likely before in the BETA too, I was.

Since I first played it in the BETA I am much better now than I was before, it just takes time and practice.

I rank Commander now.

Localisation issues, I guess. Just create a US account, only takes a couple of mins.

I jumped on the good ship Sony last night, 60gb model is mine + Resistance/Heavenly Sword.

Now I just need to find out what the hell's going on! It looks like the machine itself can do a lot, though whether I fully invest myself in all of its features is another matter. I am keen to get a random Bluray DVD to (hopefully) see the jump in quality on my new TV.

I didn't hate either of the games I had a quick play with, so that was good news! I didn't realise Resistance was multiplayer either so I'm looking forward to getting caned at that by everyone.

Same here. I was gonna ask what everyone is doing with there's aside from the obvious games and BR movies.

Its great at upscaling dvds & Ive imported quite alot of cds as well so can listen to music through my DD amp.

Apart from those demo's and trailer from the PSN and the obvious games and Blu-ray films.

Actually, I've been disappointed by the DVD upscaling. When the picture is dark I get quite a bit of 'movement' in some areas of colour. My 360 (VGA) lookes much nicer. Also, in the main menu does anyone get a little bit of wobblyness if they look right close at their screen?

Well it better be, because if all goes according to plan on Saturday, I'll be wanting to DL it shortly thereafter.

Europe should be getting the online vs. patch for Tekken 5 sometime soon. If we can get voice chat sorted (if all else fails we could just do it via the 360 while we play) that'll save us the cost of VF5.

People who've tried it - how does chat work on the PS3? Can you carry on a chat session beyond the media bar and into a game, like in Live?

I gave the BC a shot last night for the first time, with God Hand. Amazing game, but that's hardly the point. I was pretty impressed with the BC options and the way it emulates memory cards (which I assume it has to do in order not to confuse the games); puts one over on the Wii in that regard, certainly, as everything works straight out of the box.
