Weyheyyy got my PS3 today. Still waiting on GT5 to turn up though so I'm playing MGS1 again but the analog stick doesn't work for this! :)

OH GOT IT!! :( I pressed that PS button in the middle and found the settings to change it, this is all very new to me!

Has no-one posted the news that Afrika is $60?

Afrika Release Date, Price Announced

Afrika, Sony's upcoming entry in the burgeoning savannah-wildlife-photojounalist-sim genre, has been given a final release date and price. It'll be out on August 28, and will cost ¥5980 (USD$56), which is a bit of a worry. I'd presumed this would be a neat little addition to the PSN's lineup. A different way to blow $15-$20. But that price has it pegged as a, well, proper game. And what they've shown thus far doesn't look like it has the legs/meat of a proper game at all.

Does anyone know of any places other than Yesasia that I can buy a white DS3 from? They currently are stating 7-14 days for despatch. I'll have finished Metal Gear before it even arrives at customs, never mind my front door. Cheers

Yeah I did look on ebay, but one seller doesn't send it in the original packing, which puts me off to be honest. And the only other seller asks that you specify the colour along with payment details. But in the past it seems that no matter what extra instructions I leave with my paypal payment, nobody ever seems to bother reading it, and I don't fancy a black one turning up and me having to piss around sending it back.

Unless of course anyone here has bought a white one from ebay and can vouch for them? I just missed out on one that was already in the U.K ;)

What I tend to do in that case is email them before bidding to ask if they have the colour in stock. Then when you win send them a request for total with a note saying the colour. Wait an hour or so then send the payment through with a big note for the colour i.e. SEND ME A WHITE ONE. Jobs a good un.

Wouldn't it be fitting for MGS1 to appear?

Well Ryan at KojiPro keeps going on about a surprise that "even early copies of MGS4 can't spoil", so it's quite likely.

Here's hoping those cunthawks at ThePSN.co.uk post about the update. :)

There is. You get an exclusive 6" Medicom action figure of Snake in Olive Drab Octocam, the Making Of disc, and an abridged version of the official soundtrack. It's freakin' sweet. Except for the fact Snake looks like Jimmy Hill.
