A thread for PS3 owners Here

No, IX was the one with the crazy loading times whenever you initiated a battle. I never completed it due to that little act; the swooping camera not stopping until it finally loaded in the combat system was horrid. The rest was good though.

Can I backup my PS3 HD to my PC via a network cable?

No.

You can only use the network cable tool to transfer all data from one PS3 to the other. Use the back-up to USB drive for other back-up needs.

Perhaps, but its a better FF game than X,XI,XII and XIII.

XII was super-awesome and a step in the right direction to ensure the series' awesomeness in the future. Haven't gotten around to playing FFXIII despite having bought it on day one ;)

XII was super-awesome.

I never would have guessed that I have the same taste in FF games as Meh 8)

Was IX the one with the shemale villian in chaps and a thing, I forget?

It's the one where the main villain pops up out of nowhere in the last hour or so of the game ;)

Even though nobody will give a fuck, here's my personal FF chart:

VI/VII----->XII-->V->IV----------------------->X---->IX----------------------------------------------------------------------------------->VIII

Looking forward to finding out where XIII is going to end up for me ;)

Edit: I didn't include XI because that's not a FF game, and I didn't include I-III because I never played them back in the day.

ooh colour me very excited if rumour becomes truth. Never had a ps2, nor a bc PS3, and have heard one friend bang on about Ico as the best thing since sliced bread for far too long now, so fingers crossed.

Hated the characters in X, they were just so.. lame. XII was nearly as bad. XIII might go higher, the battle system is real nice and I'm not done with it yet.

So it would seem Sony made some changes to the US PSN and now my Euro visa won't work anymore...I've looked into buying prepaid cards online and the only place I've found who doesn't charge you extra for the card is VG+ but will a Canadian card work on a US PSN account ?

It should do, it uses the same region PSN.

They've been great for me with US Wii codes in the past; they email you the code rather than post it.

I think you'll have to make a Canadian PSN account and download from there, they won't work in the US store. I don't know if the Canadian PSN is in the same sorry state as the UK one so you may not be able to buy everything you want.

Having said that though, I buy PS3 games from VG+ and then buy the DLC in the US so I don't really know.. the games are North American but the cards are Canada/US :o I might just take a punt and pay the £12 to see if it works because it's a good price.

No, they won't. You need a Canadian PSN account but it's pretty much the same as the US store.

I suspected as much. Do I have to set up a completely new account or would changing the adress on my US PSN account to a Canadian one do the trick ?

edit: nevermind, forgot you can't change the country part in your adress, so yeah, would mean setting up a new account.

www.hdmoviesource.com did PSN cards with no delivery charge last time I ordered from them though that was a while ago. You changed something during checkout to make the delivery $0

Yeah, I know about hdmoviesource. It would seem that they were bothered with people only buying PSN cards though, cause I checked the psn cards page today and it says that in order to purchase those you now need to have been a member for over two months and have orders to your name. Which is no big thing but is kinda bothering me as it's akin to forced sales. Plus, it kinda irks me that they charge slightly higher than the real price for the cards whereas VG+ does them at the exact price.
