Unexpected addition to the US store: Japanese PS Originals. Untranslated, untouched PS1 games. Currently Gaia Seed and Cho Aniki, buyer beware I guess!

Heh, I was just reading the Monkeypaw Games website and they said exactly the same thing "Buyer beware!"

Gaia Seed

Chō Aniki(!)

Hello all, could someone tell me if this hard drive would be compatible with my PS3 120gb slim?

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151804

It's the same as this I believe which says it's compatible

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/9216806/Seagate-ST9500325AS-Momentus-5400-6-500GB-2-5-inch-Internal-SATA-Hard-Drive/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0

Also I'm sure I saw someone (dizogg maybe) saying they wanted a 120gb ish PS3 hard drive cheap because they didn't want a massive one. If I replace mine I'd happily let it go for around £18 delivered or so

I'm not sure where to put this or if it is common knowledge, but I'll slap it here anyway.

Apparently the development of PS3 Media Server stagnated and the developer effectively said he was bored of it and the idea of going back to the project stresses him out. So some guys made a fork and have started putting out new versions. You can find that project here:

http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaservercontrib/

This definitely makes me happy as the server, whilst nigh on perfect for SD stuff, tends to hang on approximately 50% of MKVs that I throw at it. MKVs which I have no issue using other software to transcode to MP4s which then work with PMS. Bugfixes are a good thing.

So hopefully this'll be of news to someone and someone, somewhere will be happy to find out about it.

I finally joined the club and got a used 80GB fat model last weekend, with a sexy white DS3.

I immediately downloaded Pixeljunk Shooter and WipEout and queued up just about every demo on the PSN Store. Since then I've swapped my 360 version of SSFIV for the PS3 version (most of my SF playing mates have PS3s) and bought Killzone 2 which I think is pretty awesome. Also borrowed Uncharted 1 off a mate.

Until GT5 comes out I'm gonna leave it set up in our bedroom as we have a BD player downstairs, plus the wireless connection lets us watch iPlayer (In the Night Garden) with our 9 month old daughter in bed in the mornings.

Absolutely loving the PS3 though, wish I'd got one sooner!

Where is the best place to get a PS3 these days? I've had a look at the 'usual' places and the bundle deals seem a bit cack. Anyone know if Game etc will let you pick bundle games if you ask them, rather than put up with the rubbish they give out?

Sainsburys are selling the 320gb model for £239.99. On offer until Oct 8. (that's without games, I think)

I tried that in a Leeds Game and was told you couldn't. He wouldn't budge.

I got one from Amazon in the end. Sainsburys offer sounds good.

Been loving (and have now rinsed) Arkham Asylum and Red Dead - have actually found Uncharted 1 to be surprisingly frustrating and uninteresting to play.

I need more games, basically. At the moment, I only have Batman's challenge mode and LBP to play...

Been put right off Heavy Rain - where to next? I'm definitely getting Fallout NV, but that might have to wait until Christmas...some good games that I'll be able to find for around/under £20 please? Don't need to be PS3 exclusive!

Random question: with my 360 there's obviously a way I can ask it to download something from the Xbox Live website. Is there any way I can do similar with my PS3?

How do you mean? The PS3 has always had the store which works in a similar fashion to the Xbox one.
