Burnout Dominator

Dominator is certainly the farewell to the 'old' style of Burnout. Paradise is going to be something very different - the whole handling model has to change for starters - it wouldn't work in a free-roaming world, as anyone who's stopped and tried to turn around in Burnout will tell you.

I was thinking about this a while ago, actually. Might it be possible to have a duel handling model for Paradise? I'm imagining something that handles like old-skool Burnout at high speeds, but when you slow down gradually shifts to a less-twitchy, more nuanced model with a more sensible turning circle. Modern sports cars do this, don't they?

An evening's play suggests this is good. Boost chaining is what Burnout is all about as far as I'm concerned. I like the improvements they've nicked from the later sequels. I like the music, presentation, difficulty curve, progression, game modes. Shame about the Dual Shock, load times, and memory card save times, but I can read the forum between races. I've no idea whether it will stand up to weeks of play like BO2, and familiarity has leached a bit of the excitement away but right now this is just what I wanted from a Burnout game.
