I grew up with Mario Bros. I can't help but think it's complete shit now. In fact, I don't think I ever liked it.

Mario 3 was alright. But by the time that came out in the UK I had seen the first pictures of Mario World and was like WOAH.

Mario World's where it's at.

Theyre not daft. Just like Capcom brought out SF2T onto live instead of SSF2T or SF3....dont spurt out all your good games too quickly now.

Very very true.

Another thing to bear in mind is that on XBLA the non-retro people have been complaining about too many retro titles appearing and taking away all their sales.

Also, does this apply to the Eu, or juist the US?

.::: Just the US at the moment. But hey, get ready to scold at NoE anyway come Christmas morning.

(While the US still waits for the Weather and Internet Channels.)

Today we've added a selection of new classic games to the Wii Shop Channel, which you can download and play directly on your Wii using the built-in Virtual Console.

Virtual Console allows you to play games from the NES, SNES, SEGA Mega Drive and TurboGrafx (PC Engine) and currently includes such classics as The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario 64 and Sonic the Hedgehog. New Virtual Console games are added to the Wii Shop Channel every Friday.

This week's new releases are:

NES: (500 Wii Points)

Donkey Kong Jr. (1-2 players)

Soccer (1-2 players)

Tennis (1-2 players)

SEGA Mega Drive: (800 Wii Points)

ToeJam & Earl (1-2 players)

Space Harrier II (1 player)

TurboGrafx: (600 Wii Points)

Military Madness (1-2 players)

Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. Certain games require the use of a Wii Classic Controller or Nintendo GameCube Controller. Please see the Wii Shop Channel for more details.

It's bollocks yeah.

All they've done is make it available to buy. They could've done the Mario Allstars version instead ;)

edit - p-dogg o/\o

its the nintendo way, release one game at a time, even though we have purchased it on nes, snes, gameboy colour, gameboy advance. They probably wont release compilation games like all stars.

Awesome - they must have been sweating like navvies to bring us this once in a lifetime chance to own this title. Tell you what Nintendo - get some fucking Wii games made and in the real shops, because once I've finished Zelda, there's absolutely fuck all decent to play. Ba humbug!
